I was told a 20minute wait but it was more like 30-40. No complaints though, I had time and I was a walk-in. The place is beautiful and smells great!!! Plenty of polishes choices and the staff was friendly. I was on the phone the entire time so I didn't engage much w/ my nail tech. I was offered water or a drink and i appreciate that. I was not offered any extra pedicure add ons like a scrub or anything like that. There was a menu I found on their cart with options but it was never discussed. No big deal...I would probably have declined but it would have been nice to be offered. I didn't notice any posted signs of prices but next to that menu of add ons...I found a menu of services (which was also used as a make shift fan to dry my feet in between coats of polish) where prices were listed. My pedicure was completed nicely and I'll update later about how long it lasts!! I can typically get a solid 3 weeks ..so I'm hopeful! The nail tech (Tom I think was his name) did a good job and was careful to clean up any extra polish on my skin. If I'm the area...I would return again!

I look down and there is polish all over my shirt... and I later found out the same happened to my mom and she was googling how to get it out the whole time. I ask the tech for some acetone but she didn't understand and just stared at me. She barely scrubbed my feet (mind you I'm on my feet 40-50 hrs a week... so they're crusty) and rushed to get to the polishing part. I asked for gel. She put the polish on and put the lamp over it... and it falls and knocks into the polish several times on several layers. Once everything was done, she didn't put my flip flops on but instead threw them on the ground and walked away to her next customer. I won't be back.

Yin arrived around 12:20 and immediately started my toes. In the middle of my service, a white woman walked in at 12:35 for her 12:30 appointment, and another nail tech walked up to me (the only Black woman in the shop) and asked if Yin could stop my service and service the other woman. Dumbfounded, I felt backed in a corner and said yes. This turned into me sitting with my toes half done for nearly 25 minutes before I finally decided to just leave. The nail technician that stopped my service seemed to care less. Yin was apologetic but at this point it meant nothing. In response to the owners reply: Try closer to 10 times. This makes it disappointing to leave a review under these circumstances. During a recent eyebrow service completed by the female owner, Vee, I communicated that I wanted my eyebrows thinner. She proceeded using a device, and within 24 hours I developed welts underneath and around my eyebrows, followed by minor pain and visible bruising. I will be attaching photos for reference. I initially attempted to address this concern by phone, but Vee advised she could not hear me. I then visited the salon in person to show the bruising and seek a resolution. I spoke with her boyfriend, who is also an owner, and he called for her to come speak with me. As they spoke in their native language, Vee avoided all contact with me and did not acknowledge my presence, nor did she inquire as to why I was there or address the visible bruising at all. I take confrontation seriously and approach it with the intent to resolve issues respectfully. Because of this encounter, I strongly disagree with the attitude displayed by Vee and the owners' inability to acknowledge or address the injury left behind. For this reason, I will no longer be a customer at this establishment. The quality of work itself has generally been good; however, future customers should be aware that if concerns arise, there may be issues with accountability and customer service, which does not appear to be a priority.

I scheduled my appointment for 4/24, but when I was about to leave, my phone alerted me that there was a tornado warning in my area and it was unsafe to drive. I waited for about 10 minutes before a nail tech came over and started my treatment, which was no problem for me at all, but both the technician and the manager on duty were so apologetic and even added on extra time to my leg massage to make up for it! The way everyone goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction is what makes the prices at HV worth it. I was super impressed with my gel pedicure and my acrylic manicure, and I especially appreciated that the nail techs asked me several times throughout the process to make sure I liked everything. The design I got turned out even better than the inspo pic from Pinterest, and they have lasted over 2 weeks with no chipping or breaking!
