I've been going to Connie for over a year now and I'll never go to anyone else (unless I'm out of state). My nails always stay on for 3 weeks at a time and they are the bombest and longest lasting nails you will ever have. Any crazy nail idea you can imagine, Connie can do everything. Not only are you getting the best nails in Washington but also it's like I'm going to hangout with my best friend every time! She's the most down to earth person I've ever met. I normally get super impatient any other place I've ever gone too but I never have with her because she's quick and easy/fun to hang out with anyways. I was excited to see someone who is good with coffin shaped acrylics so when I saw Connie had an appointment available later that day (September 19th), I booked it and left a note saying I could come in another day if she needed more notice. She said she would be happy to do it at the time I booked and then proceeded to tell me that because it was a 7:00pm appointment that there would be an additional $15 charge. There was nothing that I could see that mentioned there would be an after hours charge for anything after 6. I figured the spots open so I'll just take it. Anyway, I agreed to give it a shot even though Ive never paid so much for a full set ($70/$84 with tip). The shop itself is new and is a complete mess inside. No flooring, plastic tarps covering the windows, no seating in front, nothing set up except for a small station in the back of the space down a hallway. The environment wouldnt have been a big deal but she rushed through my appointment (pay more money for less dedication through the service because it's at the end of the day?) I asked for them shorter but she said they would end up being shorter after she was done filing... they weren't which because I'm a hairstylist, makes my job a little harder but again, not too upset about it. She told me my thumb nail got a piece of glitter on it from another nail so it's not smooth. I wasn't too bummed about it so I paid and left. In less than a week (September 24th), 1 nail broke so I messaged her the next day to have her fix it. She texted me back asking me to come in right then but I was unable to get to my phone until about 45 minutes later. I said I just got the message and I could be there in 20 minutes. I never heard back from her until a few days later when I texted her again because another nail broke. She said she would do the first one for free and charge for the other. I told her that I didn't have any more money to put Into my nails so she said it was my choice but shortly after said she would actually look at them and if they were thin, she would fix it for free. She ended up fixing them for free on September 30th which i was grateful for. I even offered to tip her for her time and she wouldn't take it and I appreciated that a lot. To my dismay, by October 3rd, 4 more nails broke and then a 5th broke today (October 5th). They all broke just doing basic things like putting my shoes on, grabbing something from the fridge and literally scratching my leg! The sucky thing is I loved her personality and really didn't mind the chaos in her shop but the price and poor quality of the job that was done made sure I'm not going to return. read more
