I stopped into Tommy Nails last minute on a whim for a manicure and pedicure. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Indoors was clean. There was a candy bowl out indicating a family friendly salon for those who like or need to bring their children with them. Walk-ins are welcome and I was seated right away without a wait. I was offered and accepted a complimentary bottle of water to sip on while enjoying my pedicure. A 10% discount is given on services on ones' birthday. I chose the Serenity Spa Manicure for $35 and the Signature Pedicure for $40. Service was performed by one technician which allowed me to read my book in peace without constantly being interrupted. Overall, I'm glad that I stopped into Tommy's. I was happy with the service as well as the prices. read more

UPDATE July 16 Since this shop was so helpful previously, I decided to try them out again. I booked my appointment online and chose the specific tech who did my nails last time. I sat down and someone else, I believe the owner started working on me. It seemed odd that no one, including myself mentioned the switch up in techs. The person I requested didn't even seem to be working that day, so why was she even an option on the app? My appointment was for a dip manicure on natural nails and a gel pedi. The pedicure went well, I had some ingrown nail pieces in my toe that had caused some mild discomfort, but she was able to dig all of that out and my toe has felt great since. As she started working on my manicure, I started thinking "this looks like lumpy cement", but I know dip can be a trust the process thing. By the time my nails were done I wasn't unhappy but I also wasn't doing the new set stare. You know when you get fresh nails and suddenly you are over exaggerating hand gestures so you can make sure everyone sees how put together your nails are? They were a nice oval, but the cuticles were raggedy and I could just tell they were going to fall apart. Sure enough by day four I heard the first nail crack. You can look at the photos and see what happened within a week. I am disappointed with nail salons. Service isn't consistent, pricing isn't clear, and it is expensive. Is this salon terrible? It wasn't the first time but I will never go back now. That is too much shoddy work in one week. But it's just like all the others. Inconsistent, and mediocre, and with there being three on every block, someone needs to step up their nail game. Customers deserve better. read more

It's my pleasure to share my go-to nail salon with the Yelp and Everett community! Jack, Nancy, Chau, Huong, Amy and Anna are an amazing team and try their best to serve everyone that comes through their doors. They get a lot of walk-ins for a small shop so scheduling ahead of time helps but there have been times where I've waited to get into my appointed time. I've been coming here for the last two years (midst of Covid when businesses started opening back up again) and realized I haven't done a review since moving into Everett and finding this salon. I had been to several in the area but was never completely satisfied with the services or quality of work at other salons near by. I had almost given up hope of finding something close and ready to go back to Bothell but Tommy's was the first salon to offer dipping and oh my, I was hooked! My nails have never been this strong and healthy (I don't use acrylics) or so long lasting (at least 2.5 weeks, sometimes to 3 weeks but the grow out is apparent by then). I usually get a simple mani-pedi but when I need something extra for a special occasion, Jack always comes through on the designs I ask for. I love love love Tommy Barber & Nail Spa! I first visited two weeks ago. We were headed to Disney World. I wanted a Daisy Duck vibe and Jack did a great job! We did a purple nail with white bows that he free-handed. The man says he's not an artist, but he's awesome! I also got the best pedicure of my life on that day. I'm not sure who my tech was, but she was SO SO SO thorough. I am diabetic and have very dry skin. Two weeks later, my feet are still soft as can be. They're typically rough again within days of a pedi for me. She did a FABULOUS job. Anyway, back to my last visit (yesterday): I let Jack know we were going to visit San Francisco next weekend and showed him some reference art. I always come back to these guys because they're the ones with the best customer service in my opinion. They don't make me feel like they're talking about me when I walk in like other places do " Bella Nails , Queen Nails & Nova Lounge" have all made it obvious that they were making shady comments in their own language whenever I was given to one of their workers to be dealt with. Not to mention, they try to speed up their work to get as much clients done so they can get more money. I went in to Tommy barber and nails to get my birthday nail set, asked for pink chrome with checkered in two fingers (I had inspo picks) and left the salon disappointed. The shaping is awful. Two nails are significantly longer than the rest. And the checkered -- the nail tech informed me she could do the design no problem however it is so poorly done and the checkered boxes are all crooked and some aren't filled in all the way. I would have rather been told the design was too hard and I could have easily settled for something different. I would not recommend going here. read more

I've been a repeat customer of this establishment for the better part of three years. My story starts out when I made an appointment 48 hours in advance for an upcoming Friday morning. When I arrived at my appointment 5 minutes early, I was asked if I could wait. They ran 15 minutes late. I had booked my usual ultimate pedicure and hydration manicure, which I get every 6 weeks. I did not get the service I booked. This became apparent went I noticed the typical routine was not being followed. The pedicure massage was painful, squeezing too tightly on my feet and lower calves. I asked if they could be gentler. They Laughed. This made me feel humiliated in front of staff and customers. I did not get my manicure. When I questioned this, I felt like I was gently being pressured to leave. I feel like this establishment is under new management as I've never been treated like this in the past. WHHYYYY is it so hard to find a nail salon? They are a dime a dozen and I still can't find a decent one that I will keep going back to. I made an appointment for 2:45 on Friday for a Pedi, dip removal, and re-dip. They were confused when I came in and thought that I was there just to make an appointment. I can already tell this isn't going to be great. I sit at an uncleaned station for around 15 mins before they come over to even start me. The woman seated next to me had been there a lot longer than me and you could tell she was annoyed at how unorganized they were. They kept having one tech bounce from one client to another and it was just odd. At any rate, My Pedi was just OK. She didn't scrub long. It was more of a "let's soak your feet in hot water and paint your nails" than an actual Pedi. 1.5 hours later, I am done and ready to pay. $72. My mouth almost hit the ground. $72 for a half-ass Pedi and a nail dip on MY NATURAL NAILS?! It was not a full set, it was my nails......OUTRAGEOUS. I don't think that I have ever paid that much for a mani pedi. Period. I won't be back, that is an insane amount of money for the quality of work they performed. read more

I stopped in for a pedicure just by chance to kill some time before I had to pick up my kid. They were able to fit me in as a walk in no problem which was great. I got the #3 pedicure. Can't remember the name but I think there were only 4 steps so I got that paraffin wax and an actual massage. This was the best pedicure I've ever gotten! Nancy was amazing and so kind. From start to finish it was a very disappointing experience. I was around 5-8 mins late and the first one in the place. Right away the guy came and was hurrying me to pick a color. I know it sounds silly but not everyone that goes to get their nails done knows exactly what they want. He handed me the nail color guide and just stood there watching, I felt so rushed because the water for my pedicure was already ready but He wouldn't even let me sit in the chair until I picked the color. The pedicure was a little sad to say the least. I picked the basic which was around $35. Now I love a hot water pedicure cause normally your feet have to soak so the water gets cold by the end. This water was sooooooooo hot by the time she was done with my toes it was warm. I had normal nail polish on my toes and for some reason it didn't come off the first time she wiped it. I actually had to stop her when she tried to put the base coat over it. I also had to ask her to scrub the bottom of my feet more cause the first short (it felt like it was less then a 15 seconds for both feet) round she missed the sides of my feet and I could feel it when she asked me to place my feet back in the water. The same lady did my manicure, which I wouldn't even call it a manicure. She left all of my dead skin on, never soaked my hands just went straight to prepping my nails. I asked for dip powered because it last the longest. I should have gotten gel. Now I don't know if it was the power not mixed or too old or the maybe that she did not know to do dip power but sad (see pictures). All my nails that used the blue color you can see in it and the guy that came to do the small heart design even pointed it out to her (I didn't understand him but he kept referring it to her and pointing at it so it was super visible). She did not ask me what length I wanted just the shape and she went SUPER short. She kept asking me if I like the shape which I kept saying yes because there was no way of fixing it. My cuticles are so bad cause its been around a month since I was able to go get them done and all she did was "push" them back with her own very short nail. It felt like she was going thru the "motions" of a manicure but not actually doing the work. I had hurt my finger a week ago and informed her of this before she even took my hand. She forgot three times each time hurting me more and more. I finally had to just tell her to leave that finger alone. Now when the guy came to do the heart design and he saw all the dead skin she left and start randomly picking at some. At this point I just wanted to leave so I stopped telling them what else to do. He did not clean up any of the mess she left but pointed it out so he saw. The only nail he tried to clean up with my hurt one which I wasn't going to allow him to hurt so I explained that I would clean that one up at home so he doesn't hurt it. In the end I paid $77 for both my hands and feet which for the work that was done was not worth it. I had to come home and finish that work. Very disappointing experience to say the least. read more
