I recently visited for a pedicure, and it was the worst experience I've ever had. The technician was friendly, but her skills were severely lacking. My cuticles were not cleaned, my toes were not buffed, and the nail polish application was subpar. When I mentioned these issues, the technician claimed she had buffed and massaged my feet, but I hadn't noticed any of it. How could I have missed any part of the process since I was reporting each step to my friend, who owns and runs a nail salon in California, over the phone? The technician literally put her face to my toes and was blow drying my toes. When I addressed to the technician was this an express pedicure, she's like no we don't do express with attitude. I do not recommend this place to anyone and fail to understand how they have a 4-star rating. I can do better myself. Waste of $30. read more

I went to this business for the first time a week and half ago for a mani pedi. First, the skin under one toe was cut to where it bleed (and hurt) enough to where my for was shoved into water and other foot was worked on instead. I had shellac on fingeenails. Within the first week the Shellac started chipping. I've never experienced chipping with shellac before, only peeling. My toes have also begun chipping but not anything like fingers. read more

Just moved up here from California, and this was the closet salon to the barbershop my fiancé and kids were at. I walked in and there were about 3 people getting their nails done and asked for a pedicure which all of the chairs were empty. I was told that someone had just called for 3 pedicures and I'd have to wait... They show up and I end up waiting about 10 minutes, no big deal. I was asked if I wanted regular or shellac and I said regular. My time comes to sit in the chair and she notices that I already have gel on my toes and she says "I asked if you had shellac on your nails. It takes longer to soak off. I could've had you soaking this whole time." I corrected her and said, "no you asked if I wanted regular or shellac." She rolls her eyes and tells me to sit down. At that moment I should've walked out. The water was luke warm so I had to ask for it to be a little hotter. I then proceeded to receive the most mediocre pedicure. Then I had to wait to get my nails painted because the girl i had didn't know how to paint gel, I'm assuming. The paint job felt rushed and she could've added another layer. 2 pedicures and a manicure who came in after me left before me. The only good thing about this place is the pricing. I dont even like glitter and they have introduced it to a couple of my nails and loved it. Always so friendly and attentive. If you are needing a shellac/gel manicure that LASTS, this is the place to go! I am extremely hard on my nails, regular polish generally lasts a few hours, and shellac from other salons usually chips within 3-5 days, THAT'S how hard I am on my nails. I picked a shimmer/sparkle polish since they last longer, and my manicure has lasted about 3 weeks and still looks great. They also did my french tips low enough to allow for grow out, but not so low that it looks funny, like some other places have done. And there's a BONUS?!? There's two actually. No, three! First, the ladies there will actually talk to you instead of spending the entire time yammering back and forth to each other in a different language. Second, you get TWO nail decorations for FREE! Last, but not least, their prices are extremely reasonable. A french tip gel manicure is only $25!!! Most other places charge $35 for that. AND their designs don't cost and arm and a leg, generally $5-10 extra if you want a special design on all of your nails. Bottom line, they do an awesome job and you don't have to sell off your children to afford it! But if you're in a time crunch, it's definitely best to make an appointment! read more

I just had a pedicure done here and they did a great job! It was more on the basic side of pedicures, but considering the price it's totally worth it. (If I'm in the mood for a super fancy pedicure, I'll find somewhere else that costs more.) I came in mainly because I was hoping to get a pretty design painted on my toes for a wedding this weekend, and they did an excellent job of it. I had a photo I brought in from home and they found a design they already do that's very similar, then she went out of her way to try and match her design to my photo. Also, I enjoy that this wasn't an Asian run nail salon. Not that I have any problem with them, I just find the communication barrier to be sometimes frustrating. There was no problem with that here. The women are (I think) from Eastern Europe so there is a slight accent but it's easy to understand and communicate. I have never been so disappointed with a shellac manicure as when I went to Lovely Nails. The shellac was super thin, I was surprised by how thin it was, and it started peeling and chipping the next day. I also got a pedicure and I didn't realize the paint on a couple of my toes was smudged when I left. The salon is clean and right next to Fred Meyer. Prices are a bit high for a strip mall nail salon but after an entire day of endless driving, I was in desperate need of some r&r. I walked in and wasn't really greeted by anyone. I told them I was there for a mani-pedi, one of the nail techs turns to her Asian colleague and asked, "what does she want?" Finally a nail tech from the back greeted came and assisted me. She was super friendly and gave me a great mani-pedi. The Vietnamese ladies there were much nicer than the other techs. The massage felt so good. I nearly fell asleep bc it was so relaxing. However she didn't use a base coat so I'm pretty sure my nails will be stained red. And she clipped my cuticle a little too high, but it's not bleeding or infected. My nails look great and she helped me fix them after I kept smudging it. Overall a good experience. read more
