The donuts are not good at all, but the service is WORST! The service however is horrendous. Talk about nickel and dimming your customer. I ordered 5 donuts and 2 bagel sandwiches and as they proceeded to put a bunch of little bags together I asked for a small box. It just made more sense to carry one small box than 7 little bags. The girl behind the counter denied more request. Stating that, I needed to "order at least 6 donuts, however; she would happily charge me a dollar for the box." How CHEAP! Talk about nickel and dimming their customers. I then proceeded to order some thick smoothies aka their boba drinks but without the bobas, when my kid asked for the thicker straw (mind you the thin straw wouldn't even work since the smoothly was so thick) she began to hassle us that those straws are for bobas only. Whatever ever you order if you go there they are out of everything! Never any whip for the drinks and no bacon for the bacon sandwiches. Worst donut shop in SCV! We will never go back there again! Mediocre donuts with the worst customer service ever! While we were ordering they managed to chase off another customer with their terrible customer service too. As far as ambiance the store is dirt the floor was filthy, there was no napkins in stock and ZERO sits to seat and wait. We've got the donuts here a number of times and they have always been super fresh and tasty! My one issue with this place is that ordering online is twice the price as going into the store. When you go there, it's like $18/dozen, but ordering the same online is over $36, as they only sell the donuts individually, with the price being elevated....just crazy and they totally need to fix that! The donuts here are great! We got a maple bar, chocolate chip, and ham and cheese croissant. Everything was on point. The staff asked if we wanted the croissant warmed, which we did. It was the perfect temperature when she gave it to us; warm, but not molten hot. It has a great ratio of cheese, ham, and croissant. Definitely one of the better ham and cheese croissants I've had. The chocolate chip donut was amazing. The inside was melted chocolate, which was delicious! The maple donut was great. It was crispy, but not oily and there was a perfect amount of icing to bread. It was also a pretty big size compared to other shops. I would give this place 5 stars, but I've only been here once. They take Visa/MC-ATM cards w/ $10 minimum or CASH... but if your order is under $10 they charge 50 cents to your card... not bad! I'm willing to pay that. I really don't feel like driving to the bank and then drive back. I'll save my gas and pay the 50 cents instead. We've lived in Castaic for 8 years and have enjoyed Luv'n Donuts since they opened their doors. The couple that own the shop are so sweet and hard-working...and they are always open! They have told us that they only take 1 day off a year! The donuts are DELISH, as well as their breakfast sandwiches. My husband enjoys the sausage, egg and cheese croissant and I love the ham and cheese croissant. They also have a wide variety of coffee and I have to mention that we appreciate the fact that they have a sugar-free creamer option for diabetics! We are so happy they are close to home. Don't go expecting to get what you pay for or good service! Last three times I went with my kids the chinese lady was horribly rude! The girls working behind the counter don't listen! Reviews on her are pretty accurate! One-they are pretty rude (except the young ones.) there's a Latina girl and a young white or Latino guy that work there that are pretty nice. Donuts are nothing special. I one time ordered a croissant sandwich and got to work to discover the croissant was literally like toast-it crumbled everywhere because it was toasted too long. Coffee is amazing but I like Gaviña coffee anyway-it's super expensive here . Worst part is they tried to charge me $2.25 (price of a large or commuter mug) when I showed them my mug can only hold a medium. They still wouldn't budge. We LOVE this lil donut shop! They don't only serve donuts & their croissants are large & ALWAYS hot & yummy! I picked up a dozen of plain glazed donuts for a soccer team snack yesterday that I was going to transform into vampires w/ fangs and faces and while I was there early (5am) there were a few items that weren't out just yet. When I asked about these items one of the attendants went in the back immediately and prepared for me what I asked for - on spot! My son also loves lemon and when I didn't see anything lemon flavored in the case I inquired if they had anything "lemon" and again the attendant offered to fill a couple that would normally be jam-filled with lemon instead for me!
