Such a cute space! I've been hearing some hype about Honu Coffee so I decided to give it a try! I got the Nutty Hawaiian drink but instead of the coconut syrup I got vanilla syrup! The drink itself wasn't my favorite to be honest. It was super nutty and grainy. There is an upstairs to do work/play games with some seating and couches. The service was so friendly, it makes me want to return to try other things! Also psa I went on a weekday and parking was very hard to find.

Sugar free vanilla latte with a coffee cake (yes, I know!)

As my car is being looked at, at a nearby Firestone, I took a relaxing walk and saw quite a few coffee shops to choose from. I stopped at this one because it has a quaint and lovely storefront. So why not. I requested a low sugar hot coffee, and the sweet lady recommended a sugar free vanilla latte. I wanted almond milk over the whole milk. It turned out absolutely perfect, and delicious. I also got myself a coffee cake (probably loaded with sugar) but I'm going to nibble on it. Outside seating on this cloudy day with no laundry to stare back at me, and no books to scream "read me" spells "beautiful morning." Thank you, Honu Coffee.

Was passing thru town. Saw the good reviews so came here to get some coffee. The store has a comfy look to it. Baristas are friendly and even suggested some variants of the coffee. I got the cappuccino with macadamia nut milk. The taste was good. Ended up getting a bag of coffee beans. They gave me a fresh batch. I also saw empanadas on the menu and gave it a try. They were tasty as well. Overall I was very happy with the food and service.

First of all, the store is super cute. I love that they sell homemade syrups and other goods. However, the couches did look a little dirty. Ordered a vanilla latte with high hopes after seeing that they sell their syrups, beans, etc! Service was quick and the drink was out relatively fast. When I first drank it, I felt like it had a strange bitter undertone for a latte. I added a bit of agave, so it was sweet, but I could still taste the bitterness as an aftertaste. I realized that it tasted like the beans had been burnt. Additionally, the latte tasted watered down by too much milk. I couldn't taste much of the coffee or vanilla, just burnt coffee and milk. Unfortunately, this spot did not particularly impress.

Loved the vibe at Honu Coffee! I ordered the Surfin' Honu and it was delicious--smooth, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet. Chill atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great place to unwind. Definitely coming back!

I've been wanting to come here for awhile during my stop on the Metrolink, and I'm so glad that I stopped by! Ambiance is so cute and cozy and the service is impeccable! The girl who helped me was so sweet and patient while we were ordering (it was our first time here) and really made us feel welcome!! If you're traveling via metro link or passing through, this is definitely a gem to visit! Great place too for studying and getting work done, there's an upstairs area and plenty of outside seating. Coffee is great and the donuts (from Honey Donuts!) are super fluffy, great pairing with my latte!

Love love love this place! Anytime I'm in town, I am going here!! The cafe is cute and they do have some space to sit inside and outside. The cafe itself is very cozy and love how they are animal friendly! Also every barista that has been there has been nice and friendly. However.. best part.. the Ono Chai! I've tried several chai lattes everywhere, but kid you not, this is THE BEST chai I've ever had. I seriously have yet to find someone who beats it!

Cold brew in the large size - $5.70 - 2024.

I went to Laemmle to watch "Alien Romulus" and I had a $5 off coupon here and was like what the heck? Let's try out this coffee bean/Starbucks indie drink place. As such, it is similar to another place in San Francisco with coffee and snacks. I tried out the nitro cold brew. It used to be $3.50 cents 10 years ago. Now?, it's $5.70. Unfortunate, yes, but the coffee was big for what you pay for. Starbucks; however, is better quality but less of it. The price nearly the same. At coffee bean, they don't sell cold brews by itself, but instead add syrup and sugar to it making it that much more worse than it can be. Ambiance inside was tiny. Luckily, I was the only person inside at the time. The service was quick, but some new employees were being trained as I ordered. Young kids, probably in high school. The barista must have been 14 years old. It seems as if this is a small family owned business. I have seen the turtle sign every time I drive by and I never went because I never had a coupon until last month. The coffee was good, strong and bitter. It was fresh with a strong aftertaste. Smooth like a cold beer without the alcohol. Refreshing on a very hot summer day. I liked it, but didn't love it. Maybe if I tried one of their specialties like the Hawaiian or the tsunami flavors, I might have been excited more. Close to my favorite place: Laemmle theater and egg plantation in old newhall. Come to Southern California for this treat in Santa Clarita valley.

First time at Honu coffee and it was delicious Iced nutty Hawaiian delicious and the croissant was warm with the perfect crunch. Definitely coming back.

This little coffee shop is super cute! Hawaii vibes lol There isn't too many selections in their menu but the drinks they have a pretty good. I come here sometimes for Bible study with my fiancé and he loves their fraps also.

    Claudia T.

The inside is super cute and they have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and seconds after I paid my coffee was ready. The coffee is more on the sweeter side and I prefer more of the stronger coffee taste. The taste was good but felt more like a sweet treat than coffee. I felt the $1.30 for a non-dairy replacement for my coffee was a tiny bit much. They do have two sizes to choose from for the iced coffee.

    Janice N.

Delicious Hawaiian coffee (a little light for my taste) but still good friendly staff! Will definitely come back!

Okay, one thing is for sure--this place is not very obvious. I kind of spent a second to look for it because it's tucked away in this plaza. Also parking is a bit tricky. The inside is a shared space with an optometrist but everything feels very cohesive and homey. They had a winter menu with peppermint, gingerbread, and other festive ingredients for your drinks. We ordered an iced ube matcha and an iced regular matcha. We sat in the lounge couch while we waited for our drinks. We originally ordered two 16oz drinks, but mine came out in a 12oz size. We checked our digital receipt to make sure and sure enough they were both 16oz drinks. So I went to the counter to let them know. They took my 12 oz matcha (which looked delicious), and then like a minute later, handed me a 16oz matcha. To be honest, the new matcha looked slightly different in color. I didn't see them remake my new drink, but it felt like they took my 12 oz, put it in a 16oz cup, and just added milk to make up the difference. The ube matcha is great if you enjoy ube. It's sweet without it being too sweet. The green (matcha) and purple (ube) when mixed together will get you a mud color, so take those photos before and after mixing, haha. It tastes great though! The regular matcha was ok. It's hard to rate because of the mix up. I'm not sure if that was representative of their regular matcha, in which case, I do wish it had a stronger matcha flavor. It wasn't a weak drink, but it still tasted too milky. If they did indeed just add more milk to make up the difference in their mistake, then that would explain why it wasn't as strong, in which case that 12oz original drink would've been perfect. While we did sit in the patio, there is a restaurant a few doors down, and one of the workers there comes out for a cigarette break pretty often and the smell does blow over to this patio, which was unfortunate. We also got whiffs from the sewer nearby. Not sure if that's a daily thing but good to know for next time.

It seemed as though there were about 10-12 tables inside, and all the employees work with one another to wait on the tables. We showed up around 10:45am on a Saturday morning, and to our surprise there was no wait. We were sat immediately and ordered a cappuccino and Arnold Palmer to drink. Then, I ordered the Salmon Benny with home potatoes, while my partner ordered the Churro waffle combo. It did take about half an hour to get our food, but it was well worth how fresh everything tasted. My salmon benny came on an everything bagel with cream cheese, and the salmon was served cold (in a delicious/ good way, not like it was frozen. I just wanted to make a note of this because usually when eating a salmon benedict the salmon gets warm from the temperature of the english muffin and egg). Then, the home potatoes had onions, and bell peppers and I kept commenting on how fresh the bell peppers tasted. My partner had the churro waffle with eggs, sausage and bacon. They really nailed the churro flavor of the waffle. Both our plates were completely devoured with no leftovers to take home. For our two drinks, two entrees (and the added combo to the churro waffle) it ended up being $53, which we found to be extremely reasonable for the quality, portion size, and service provided. The only thing I would mention was the parking lot gets a little crowded. They share a parking lot with the other stores in the plaza, and there were several spots open only because there were a lot of bigger cars who were over the line. No fault to the restaurant itself, just something to be aware of.
