"I love this bar."......RIP Toby! This one's for you!

Great bar to pop into! Meet with friends, a date night, if you live in the area great spot to grab a cold one. I especially love the beautiful brick and reclaimed wood that is throughout the entire bar. The wood is from an 150 year old farmhouse. Gorg!! Beers are cold, drinks are strong. Bartender was nice, friendly and provided a great conversation. This is a chill vibe type of bar. It's not where you're going to want to come to find rave music, 21 year olds doing crazy shots at the bar and a dj. It's chill, cozy, dark and charming. So much for your eyes to take in. Be your own judge and go take a look.

As a final stop for the SF Halloween bar crawling, we came to this place at around 1am of Friday night. The place was still very crowded and to get a drink we still had to wait for a couple of minutes. The ambience was nature-themed and very warm and I thought it could be a nice cafe or something as well. There were not that many tables on the first floor and it was more like a dance club than a bar. We didn't get any cocktail or something that we could consider the taste of drinks but the bar tender was really nice. Overall, I got a good experience and would like to come back to try other drinks and experiences when it was not as crazy as during the bar crawling.

I love the laid back and friendly environment during the day and hip lounge vibe at night. It's a great place to hang, and there's even fireplace! Cocktails are delicious and love how comfortable the bartender makes everyone feel like a regular. There are lots of options on Polk but I always keep stopping in!

Lush and I go back a ways when my friend Carlos used to take me to the old, more compact location down the street to get the Lemon Drops. He liked chatting it up with one of the bartenders while we both got sloshed. I know from taking the 19 all the time that Lush moved up Polk to bigger digs with a fireplace and an upstairs area. It's like an episode of "House Hunters" where the bickering young couple is staying with her parents in her girlhood room as they shop for a house with four walk-in closets and twin sinks in the master suite. Well, Lush obviously found their true north with this far more relaxing industrial-cool spot (photo: http://bit.ly/1eQXwYo). I came with Jamie W. this time before doing our regular pastrami run at Miller's East Coast Deli. It was a holiday weekend, so we figured the popular bars would be empty. Wanting to wet our whistles, I flashed back to the good times I had at the old Lush and was happy to discover the new place keeps the same convivial vibe. Oh wait, maybe I was the old lush, but I can be the new lush, too, right? It was Happy Hour, and we were already late since it starts at 3PM. The Lemon Drop wasn't on the list, but other temptations compensated. Jamie went for the tantalizing $6 Don Q Mojito evoking Havana nights he's never had (photo: http://bit.ly/1c2wmxL). I went predictable and ordered the $5 Blueberry Martini (photo: http://bit.ly/1bLfVvs). Ah, their fruity martini cocktails are still addictively tasty. Yes, we had another round. And that pastrami sure tasted good after that. COCKTAILS - 4 stars...they still make those refreshing martini drinks, don't they? AMBIANCE - 4 stars...far more spacious than the former spot with enough dim lighting that you don't notice the hipster quotient...much SERVICE - 4 stars...genuinely friendly and dexterous with a shaker (photo: http://bit.ly/1e6V4Nj) TOTAL - 4 stars...still holds up as a favorite watering hole with the $5-6 Happy Hour libations a major draw on quiet three-day weekends

Lush Lounge was probably the most "normal" bar of the Bachelor Party pub crawl. Not too crowded. Warm, hipster, and casual environment. Music in the background, but at the perfect volume so that you can still talk and hear each other. Drinks are surprisingly affordable for San Francisco....beers available as low as $6 and wells drinks as low as $8. Not the most exciting place to be on a Saturday night, but you won't be disappointed either. Probably a great spot for your first Tinder date on a week night.

Came to Lush because they were part of the 90s Bar Crawl. Raspberry lemon drop shots all around. The shot was alright, but it was warm; it would have been much better had it been strained through ice. Bartender was friendly. Loved the decor. Plenty of seats both downstairs and upstairs. Not a good place to dance, but if you're looking to just chill, Lush Lounge is for you. Bathrooms were very clean.

Is there dancing at Lush Lounge?

There's space near the bar downstairs for dancing but not a lot of people dance earlier in the night. You would want to be there around 12am for more people to join you on the dance floor.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

The club was set to close at 2am -- so they start getting everyone together and closing out tabs a 10 minutes or so before it actually closed. I finish my drink and gather my belongings to go to the restroom beforehand. It was occupied at the time ... so I decided not to worry anymore and walk back to my friends. As I'm doing so, I hear the guard rudely speaking to them and telling them to leave. I advised the man that the club was still open at the moment (they had about 5 mins left) and that we actually were heading out then. I also told him that he didn't have to speak to my friends like that - after he had just been joking around with them moments before. Instead of taking accountability, he immediately got an attitude with me and stated that he didn't care about that and it was time to go. Another female guard then popped up randomly and essentially told me to "fix my delivery" and that the man was her brother. To which I replied, that they were both ultimately in the wrong. I understand wanting to leave work but being rude and distasteful towards paying customers isn't the way to do jt. I hope they hire better employees it was a nice place!

There were only two service staff; we could tell they were working hard but they definitely needed more help. We made two trips to the bar and it took about 15-20 minutes to get service. Drinks were decent. A larger group arrived to the left of us, and about 20 minutes after they arrived, the male service worker told us we had to move cause our spot was reserved. Mind you, we'd been there for almost two hours at this point and nobody had mentioned anything about our spot being reserved, and there was no sign holder indicating it either. It was also advertised as a "no cover" event, so curious to know how reservations were even made. He told us we could move over to the wall; which we discovered was right next to the restrooms and the line of users. Not cool. We then noticed that the larger group had spread out and taken our spot; were we supposed to believe these were the supposed "reservation" holders and not just your friends? Overall, just another mediocre bar that caters to the people they know. Not much concern for new customers, so we have no interest in returning or recommending to anyone. Plenty of other bars in the city; better bars that won't make you feel inferior.
