Can here less than an hour to close. I was really just planning to walk around the mall and browse. I like to come to lush to smell the perfumes. I've been on the hunt to find a specific fragrance but didn't have much hopes of finding it as I believe it was a holiday scent. While I was looking around Jake an employee came up to me and was so friendly and helpful. The brought me lots of fragrances and let me test them out. Jake was so enjoyable that I just had to buy something. I got a solid perfume which is an interesting product I'm excited to use. Shout out to Jake for being one of the most pleasant workers I've ever interacted with. I honestly thought I wouldn't get interacted with at all because I came very close before they closed but was wrong. Lush is a fun store and always has interesting products. I don't normally get much from them as they're a bit pricey but I appreciate their values and think their products are high quality. read more

I visited this Lush when in town and had a wonderful experience. All three of the workers were friendly and helpful. When I was ready to check out, I asked the worker for a sample of her favorite product. The workers decided to go above and beyond and give me a sample of all three of their favorite items. They chose Happy Face exfoliator, Sticky Date body wash, and Tofu Shampoo. I actually loved all THREE products and plan to purchase full sizes of all of them. This is the best Lush store I've ever been to. The staff are all very knowledgeable about the products, and you don't feel like they are being pushy at all. I went today & Rebecca was the sweetest - she recommended amazing products based on the ones I told her I love & even did some product demonstrations! They store is big, set up nicely, spacious, very clean, and everything is labeled with "how to use" on the product card. Rebecca informed me of the option to do Lush "parties", which I've never heard of before. They are held after hours & run around $50 a person but includes a $50 per person gift card, as well as the consultation, trying out products, sample bags, etc. read more

What a fantastic little shop! Tucked away in a small part of the St Louis Galleria, just a shop or 2 away from Sephora, this little shop of homemade wonderful-smelling things is a must stop. Inside you will find fragrant bath essentials (bombs, soap bars, bath melts), lotions, body butters, facial cleansers, make-up, deodorant... You name it, they probably have it. And they even have things for men. One thing for sure, when you first enter this shop be prepared to be greeted by the most amazing combination of smells. The staff were quite friendly and I didn't feel pressured to buy anything or feel rushed which was wonderful. I browsed through their collections of bath bombs and bath melts and decided to purchase a couple to enjoy on my days off. It has been a few days since my visit and I have had a chance to try out one of the products I purchased. I tried the Twilight bath bomb ($6.25) which is lavender scented and when you use it, it fizzes out in your tub, releasing some pinkish hue in the water turning into a shade of purple and inside the pink outer shell is a blue inner ball that takes a little longer to dissolve. Bathing in it was a completely different experience. The scent will literally embrace you while you bathe and there are tiny glitters in the water which surprisingly did not stick all over my body or the tub. Awesome product! I still need to try the other bath bomb - sex bomb ($6.65) which is supposed to be a combination of jasmine, sage, and ylang ylang. I will definitely come back to buy more of these bath bombs. I would love to try their dragon's eggs and phoenix rising but I think I am in-love with the lavender scent of Twilight (though not a fan of the name). I keep the bath bombs in their individual bags but the room smells like the bath bombs and it now serves as a terrific room freshener as well! read more

I must be the last woman on earth to have heard of Lush. I wandered in Just because it smelled good. I have never been into luxury hair and body products because they never end up being worth the money. I had the pleasure of being waited on by Jordan and Nic and explain to me who they are and what they do. I ended up going home with the co-wash bar which Nic recommended, and Jordan sent me home with a few samples, including the Revive which I have used every day since. And. DUDE. Seriously. I am now a believer! I spent $75 on the big container of revive and it is worth every penny. And Jordan and Nic were so upbeat and excited to help me find the products that work for me. I love LUSH!!!! I've been using their products for about 10 years now. I've used almost everything that have to offer, from their shampoo and condition, bath bombs, skincare products (ocean salt is my fav), lotions, massage bars, shower jellies, soaps, bubble bars, shower gels, etc...everything! My absolute favorites are... Soap: godmother (nice fruity scent), sandstone (lemon zesty with sand as exfoliate) and Miranda (another fruity scent that feels soft and milky) Shower gel: I absolutely love snow fairy!!! It's only available during the winter months but I always stock up! It reminds me of the godmother soap. So if I run out of snow fairy, I always have the other. I also love rub rub rub, i used the old formula religiously before and stopped but when they released the new one with salt scrub, it's just perfect!! Love it better than before! Face cleanser: I've literally used their entire line for face cleanser, I love ocean salt the most! The others are nice but can be very messy. Especially dark Angels and herbalism (highly recommend if you're acne prone). Moisturizer: I've used vanishing cream! As much as I like the way it feels while applying (very lite). I dont really see it making a difference for my skin. Bath bombs and bubble bars: they're all great for the kids! And even adults too. A little pricey but it's nice to indulge once in awhile! Face mask: I love cupcake! Literally feels like chocolate cake is on your face! LOL! I also like catastrophe cosmetic, it's very high in antioxidants. Great for lightening the skin! What I would not recommend here is their shampoo and conditioner. Maybe it's my hair but others that use the same products found the same thing happening to them too. Their shampoo and conditioner tends to strip my hair!!! It dries my hair out completely, even using the conditioner and I shed so much too! More than I would using other brands. I've tried rehab, I love juicy, big shampoo. For shampoo bar I've tried New, seanik, ultimate shine, karma komba, and Godiva. As much as I love the shampoo bars and the concept of them, they do not work for me at all. As for conditioners, I've tried American cream, veganese, big solid conditioner. They were all disgusting! So there's some good and bad to their products. Overall, I would encourage everyone to try Lush! read more

Wow amazing of all amazing experiences! I went into Lush today thinking "oh maybe a few more bath bombs." I had no idea what I was in for. One of the sales associates (didn't catch her name, had red hair) asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I mentioned that I had been having extra itchy/sensitive skin lately. Not only did she tell me about their Dream Cream lotion and smoothie (body wash) but she gave me a little demonstration - she lathered my hand/wrist that had some redness with the body smoothie in a basin of warm water. Then she dried me off and applied some of the lotion. I was so impressed! First, so soothing. Second, free sample of product. Third, free hand/arm massage. She also recommended a face wash to my boyfriend. She ALSO told us a little about the vegan effort LUSH makes (almost all of their products are vegan and of course not tested on animals). I'm being a big copycat on reviews today - seeing something someone else reviewed and thinking "Oh! Hey! Yeah, I should review that!" Self-professed Lushie, here. This place is fab. I love everything they stand for. Their products are handmade (by PEOPLE, not machines), fresh, organic, using little or no preservatives or packaging, and vegetarian ingredients only. Plus they smell SO flippin' good and make my skin feel great! The people who work there are friendly, helpful, and definitely passionate about their product. I've tried way too many things for this word count, so here are my favorites: Bath melts add fragrance and moisturizer to your baths. Definitely an indulgent thing, not a regular thing. ----- Ceridwen's Cauldron is my absolute favorite. Makes my skin feel like SILK and smells SO nice. The best part is that it comes in this little mesh bag, and when the melt dissipates into the bath, you're left with whole oats in the bag that you can use as a moisturizing exfoliate. Wonderful. Bubble bars ----- Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds - the only one I've tried. It smells so nice! Spicy, like cinnamon. Which is weird because I don't think of cinnamon when I think of the name of this bar. But the thing is huge, you can get about four baths out of it. And it's MOISTURIZING, not drying like chemical bubble baths. Love it. Facial scrub ----- Angels on Bare Skin - lavender clay-based scrub that is so good for my combination skin (the only thing that thoroughly cleans but won't make me break out). Also, a little goes a long way, and a small $12 tub lasts about a year. I will never use anything else. Shower Gels - which you can use on your body and your hair. Which I do, when I can't get enough of the scent. ---- Flying Fox - WINNNNN. This is my favorite product, ever. The smell of jasmine and honey makes me feel like I've died and gone to heaven and transformed into an exotic, pampered princess. Aah. Divine. ----- The Olive Branch - this is a nice, invigorating wash if you like to take your showers in the morning. Mandarin and olive oil. Smells great and great on the skin. ----- Glogg - my Christmastime wash!! Only hits the shelves around the holidays. Reminds me of the bubble bar reviewed above. All I can think of when I use this is Anchorman. "She has...beautiful eyes! And her hair smells like cinnamon!!!" This spicy, cinnamon gel is perfect for a cold winter's night. Gorilla Perfumes: ---- The Smell of Freedom - this woodsy, herbal perfume makes me feel like I can conquer the world.' Nuff said. ---- Lust - smells just like my Flying Fox, so basically I feel like a goddess in it. Lip Balm ----- The Honey Trap - honey based, but tastes like their might be chocolate there. Not greasy or sticky at all. Gives perfectly soft, kissable lips. A must-have! Lotion: ---- Charity Pot - I bought a small $5 Charity Pot for Japan Earthquake relief. The lotion is kind of strange smelling, but definitely moisturizing, and with the ingredients and the cause, the whole pot is full of "feel good" that it's so worth it! Fits perfectly in my purse, too. Long story short, yes, LUSH is indulgent and expensive, but sometime's a girl's gotta treat herself. There are products and scents for every preference, and the salespeople will be more than happy to let you feel and smell before buying. They rotate stuff in and out to keep it interesting (like their "retro" line and their holiday stuff). There are products for women and children, and they just came out with a new men's line ("Dirty") which I plan on forcing onto my boyfriend. OK here's the deal with Lush. I am not into pretty, pretty smell good things the majority of the time. I also am not a huge fan of bar soap, which Lush has in a variety of different scents, purposes, and sizes. All the various products can be overwhelming at first....especially to a non-girly girl such as myself. However after learning more about the different products, I have slowly but surely found myself falling into a love/hate relationship with Lush. #1 I love their Karma products in all formats...esp. the shampoo and fragrance. It makes my heart purr. #2 I also love the many bath bombs as well as the handful of shower bombs - Sex in the Shower & Too Drunk to F#ck for example. The hate part of this relationship is tied with the prices. The goods at Lush are not cheap by any means. However, they are extremely delicious to smell and good for the skin/hair/whatever. It's worth it if you want to shell out the extra bucks versus going to Bath & Body or Walgreens. read more

I love baths! With baths, comes bath products. So I've had Lush bookmarked for awhile, and finally was in the Galleria recently so I stopped by. The store is like a hodgepodge and overwhelming. I looked around a lot but wasn't always sure WHAT I was looking at. There were people there but they didn't give me any information or offer to. I was greeted and just said I was looking around. I looked at the bath bombs first. My mom and I smelled all of them. I couldn't settle on one I loved. None of the scents were that great to me. A lot had cutesy names, which is fine, but many of them smelled like fruity gum flavors. Not like something a grown woman would want to come out of the bath smelling like to entice her significant other. I bought one that smelled like lime just because I wanted to try the product. Walked around a bit more and wasn't wowed - til I went to check out. There by the check out were the products that interested me more. First, the lip exfoliator. I got the minty one and it smells divine. Second, and the BEST, was the "It's Raining Men" product. It's like a body wash or shampoo and smells YUMMY. I washed my hair with it as the salesperson recommended and it came out looking and smelling marvelous. And my hubby noticed my hair right away! Super pricey but for someone who wants to pamper herself every once in awhile, it's great. I am not going to wash my hair with it every time, but I look forward to the next time that I do. I will go back and check it out again (and buy more It's Raining Men) but I hope that they come up with some more feminine bath bomb scents, and ones that smell better! read more

I am obsessed with Lush products. I mean, thoroughly obsessed. This place makes Bath and Body Works look like the garbage it truly is. If you want to pamper yourself, or just make your skin make amazing....you have to go here.... I'll admit, it's pricey, but my skin looks and smells so good I really don't mind dropping a bit more on these products. The bath bombs are my favorite. All fizzy and smell amazing, and I am usually not the kind that enjoys baths either. The lip glosses are superb as well and they don't get all sticky and nasty so your hair sticks to your mouth in a strong breeze...try the chocolate or the honey, they are both delicious. The coalface cleanser and the babyface cleanser are other faves as well. I promise you, whatever you are looking for in a cleanser, shaving cream, soap, lotion, lipbalm, etc, you will find it at Lush. As a girl with some serious skin allergies, I also have to say, I have NEVER had a problem with any of the Lush products, as long as I stay away from the ingredients I know I am allergic to, that is. Try Lush....it's amazing, and quite honestly, it's not going to set you back that much more than anything at Bath and Body Works or that Aveeno makes...and it's far far better. read more

The one star is for service only. The products naturally are great and of course the exact same as any other US LUSH store. Lush used to have pretty much the best customer service in retail. Lots of individual attention, product demonstrations for any interested customer, and friendly, helpful employees who seemed enthusiastic about their work. I really don't know when things went from that to a bunch of perpetually bored "nu goth" chicks who don't even bother to hide the inconvenience and annoyance they obviously feel at being affronted by a customer asking a question. This store is the worst offender, but the 2 locations in West County mall aren't much better. Plus, employees at the Galleria location have flat lied to me (with snotty bored indifference) when I've asked specific product questions. I happen to know a lot about Lush products in general. Guess what! I'm a former Lush employee! Yeah I've tested you twerps and yeah, you've failed. That said, there is one young man at this location who is lovely, extremely friendly, and helpful. Everyone else can suck it. If I go in and he's not there I don't even bother to ask for assistance, I just help myself to what I'm looking for. I'm not approached to see if I need assistance, ever, unless he's there. I usually walk out of this store angry. But I'm a Lush aficionado, so don't worry, I'll return for more craptacular service next time I run out of my favorite products. I'm a self-professed product junkie. I'm obsessed with buying hair products, ESPECIALLY deep conditioners. So when I heard good things about Lush's H'Suan Wen Hua conditioning treatment, I knew I had to have it. I visited the store, and the woman there was SO friendly and helpful. She told me a bit about the conditioning treatment (turns out, you put it on dry hair before you shampoo and condition -- it's a pre-poo, so to speak), and she told me how well it worked on her hair. She was so convincing (or perhaps I was just a super junkie that day) that I went ahead and bought the tiny tub of conditioner. I paid $16.95 for it, but I justified the purchase by telling myself that it MUST be good since it was so expensive. Wrong. First of all, this stuff REEKS. It has a really strong vinegar-y smell. I slathered it on my hair anyway, and threw a plastic cap on top. I used about half of the tub. Hmm. 45 minutes later, I rinsed my hair. I wasn't impressed. My hair didn't feel any softer or stronger; the only difference was the awful smell that now lingered in my hair. The only plus side about the product is that it's made fresh, from natural ingredients. I won't be buying this again. read more

Every winter I have a crazy oily T-zone and insanely dry skin around my eyes and my lower cheeks. This produces a dilemma. And to top it off I have very acne prone skin. UGH. Shoot me now. Now that winter has hit all of my summer products for skin care no longer work. My moisturizers are now burning because they contain too many chemicals for my poor skin that is now destroyed and almost raw like. So what is a girl to do? I tried using all-natural products at home - aka the whole oatmeal scrub and coconut oil for moisturizer. And it worked - kind of. But it just was not enough. I wanted to stay pretty natural with the ingredients because clearly the chemicals were burning my face off! So I went to LUSH. Before going I had gone to their website and researched stuff that I was interested in. Just to get a heads up on what I was getting into. Then I headed to the store a few days later. Upon entering the store I made mistake #1 of saying I was here just to browse/look at a few things for my face. I think this gave the VERY helpful lady encouragement to try to sell me EVERYTHING in the store almost! She was very helpful in showing me some facial soaps and lotions and trying them out on my hand. She even tried a toner. These were actually the two I wanted to try anyways so it worked out perfect (well minus the toner - that was extra). So I of course said I would take the face soap and moisturizer. I'd think about the toner and get back to her. All during this she was so helpful in explaining what was in the products and how they help the skin. But, it's almost too cult like. I'm all about doing the whole all natural thing and using less chemicals blah blah blah. BUT, I still believe in using some things on my face to help with acne and having a pharmacy background that is going to obviously come into play. So, it is a little frustrating to have such STRONG beliefs pressed upon me about various things related to what we were talking about. It is not enough to be a turn off because I want to use the products but it is enough to make me not want to go there very often. I digress. Back to my mistake - now I had only gone in here to grab the soap and moisturizer for my face. That was it! She proceeded to show me this and that and this .... and seemed mildly upset when I politely declined and said I would think about it. I seriously would! Next time I run out of body soap I would totally keep them in mind. I totally would think of them for the toner - in fact I might go get some next week. But, geesh don't act like I stabbed you in the heart with a stake because I declined! Now the products I got (the Angels something face soap scrub and the Celestial moisturizer) have worked well so far and I'm very happy. If it just wasn't for pushy sales people! ugh. read more

My daughter and I was out and about shopping this Labor Day . She decided to stop into Lush because she heard they had great products for facial cleaning. We were the only two in the store for about 10-15 minutes. There where three sales associates. We're just walking , looking and reading because this is both of our first times attempting to do business here. No one ever greeted us , asked if we needed any help . Shortly after several white people started coming into the business. Each and every associate went and greeted them asked if they could assist with anything. I stood there in a daze and said Oh Wow . I then turned to my beautiful black daughter and said we will never spend a single dime with this company and walked out . I walked out the company and stood and watched with amazement as this continued with each and every white person that entered the establishment ! Black people money spend the same as whites . I'm beyond angry as I stand outside the door and write this review. I hope any blacks looking to do business with this company reads the review and reconsider who and where they spend their hard earn money. This type of behavior doesn't deserve your dollars ! I have been using cheap drugstore hair and body products my whole life and had been looking for a luxury brand I can "ride or die" but no high end products I used seemed worth dishing out the extra cash. UNTIL YESTERDAY! I purchased the avocado Co wash in store and the ladies were nice enough so let me know that they do free samples so I took home a little bit of the revive hair cream, used both yesterday and after seeing my hair this morning I am a believer! The first time I experienced this store was in the "Mall of America" quite a few years ago. I scoffed at the overpriced bath salts but since then I seem to like them a bit more. Older and less wise? Less cents wise, at least. :) *eyebrow wiggle* $5 to $12 for a bath. A bit pricey?! Sure but I adore the bath bombs! My new addiction as my muscles of late have been very stiff from illness. Bath Melt: My favorite product is not bubbly or bombing but a "lavender and tangerine oatmeal" bar that comes in a netting called "Ceridwen's Cauldren." It has "lavender, tangerine, sandalwood, and frankincense oils, and cocoa butter, and whole oats." What does whole oats add to the experience? Who knows! But I enjoyed that soak. Shower Gel: I couldn't decide so I got 3 of the liquid bath soaps, Grass, Flying Fox, Olive Branch. By far the Olive Branch is my favorite. I do like the other two also but the least of them is the Grass flavor. It smells so very much like cut grass so you have to be in the mood for it. My husband wants to ban me from the store after my last visit, as he came with me. :x Lesson learned.. never take your husband to an overpriced fun nonsense store! hehe. Now if we could follow the same plan with Bestbuy... but I digress... (and an offender at both establishments, truth be told lol.) TLDR: Pricey so not a regular visiting place for those who feel like they want to have a nice balance of price and quality of product. Who takes that many baths anyways? It takes time! In the end, it is truly just Sodium Biocarbonate and a mix of oils/herbs/perfume, just for perspective. Favorites: "Ceridwen's Cauldren" (not a fuzzybathbomb,) Olive Branch (shower gel,) and I did like the "Butterball" and the"Space Girl" bath bombs (oh yes this last one has sparkles lol.) I just don't like bar soap in general. I've used pretty much every type of product they offer (except for the henna hair dye, because it seems like a hassle). My body loves everything except the conditioner-I've tried three different ones, and I think my hair and Lush conditioner just don't mix. I love travelling with the solid shampoo though, especially Karma Koomba. The sales people are so nice! I had a problem with a moisterizer once, and I took it back, half used about 6 months after purchasing, and they replaced a $50 product for free, no questions asked! They always tell you about their newest products, and try to suggest other things to buy, but they back off if you tell them you are just there to buy a specific item. However, they are always ready to explain a product and let you try it if you have any questions. It's expensive, but I budget for it and treat myself. read more

Went into Lush on a Saturday when they opened. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful! I was greeted and immediately helped me find what I came in for and gave me some great samples! I wish I would've gotten the name of the person that helped me. She was so great and knowledgeable of dry skin products! I love their products and the employees are very welcoming. HOWEVER, the music is so loud that I can't stand to be in there any more than necessary. I can't believe I haven't reviewed LUSH yet...! I first got addicted to their products back in 2007 when my freshman year roommate happened to have a bar of their now defunct "Skinny Dip" soap in the shower. I wondered what it smelled like, so I picked it up, took a whiff, and I was immediately in LUSH heaven!! I went to the shop and discovered a world of other products that awaited me.... I have realllly oily skin and prone to acne even at age 22, so I love their Fresh Farmacy facial cleanser, their Tea Tree Water toner, and their Vanishing Cream moisturizer. That combo of those 3 products has been working so well that I rarely deviate and try other brands of skincare. The shampoo, however, does NOT work so well on my hair. I have tried many of their different shampoos, conditioners, hair treatments, and even the henna dye blocks (it's messy, be careful!) and none have really worked out for me. What do I mean by this you ask? Well, my hair has been chemically treated with bleach and dye ever since 7th grade. My natural hair color is freaking GREY, yes grey....! So I have to dye it...for my own sanity. Because of this, it is very damaged. I was hoping that LUSH's natural ingredients would make my hair better but it doesn't FEEL better, it just makes my hair all clumpy and tangled and gross esp the solid bars. But that's OK. I will accept that while I love most everything about LUSH, certain things just aren't going to work out for my hair type. It's like buying a dress--you should buy the one that flatters your figure the most because you will get more wear out of it and look awesome in the long run. That's kind of how I feel about haircare stuff. If you chemically treat your hair, don't buy LUSH hair products. If your hair is virgin, untouched, au naturel--then go for it! That being said, two of their hair products smell SO darned good that I keep a small stash of them around in my bathroom just to give my hair "perfume" if you will, by mixing them in with my normal salon-brand shampoos. I'm also a huge fan of their bubble bars, bath bombs, et al. I have always been a huge fan of baths so these products are wonderful. But due to the price, I can't really afford to have a full supply of bath bombs for every single bath. So I combat this by: - waiting for sales (e.g. Xmas BOGO sale) - asking for samples (they WILL give you samples!) - sacrificing a small kitchen knife to keep in the bathroom drawer...I like to cut my bubble bars, bath bombs, and solid soaps into many little pieces and store them in ziplock baggies. This allows me to get multiple usages out of the products while preserving the smell. (Because if you don't store their products in airtight containers, they will gradually lose their potency and scent because they are made with natural ingredients and minimal preservatives.) - I also like to save up my left over black pots and RECYCLE them at the LUSH store to get 1 free fresh face mask. It's AWESOME! LUSH should be experienced at least for their skincare, above all things....if you cleanse, tone, and moisturize your face daily, you won't have as many wrinkles when you get older! My only beef with them is the use of parabens...but I guess w/o those preservatives, things would have a shorter shelf life and they wouldn't make much of a profit.... I also think it's funny how every love-interest or guy-friend of mine (even my DAD) has tried LUSH (upon my request) and loved it!! read more

I'm in love with this place. I've always been a fan of the brand and it's fun products, and I had a great experience in store today. The ladies were very helpful assisting me pick a gift for someone. They let me smell/try everything I was interested in. Checkout was speedy, and I was so happy when they offered to send me home with a couple samples of any products in store! I love exotic soaps, but I really have a hard time justifying these prices. $8 or $9 for a small bar of soap that will only last 2 weeks? They smell great and really make you feel like a queen but just aren't worth the price tag. Unless you have money to burn, try somewhere more reasonable. read more

Thanks to Kate B., I am very very much in love with LUSH! I tried their hair conditioner. Sooooo, freaking good! I love love love the smell! I came here to get a Mother's Day/b-day gift for my mom.
