Delicious lunch with a dear friend from Larchmont. Lusardi's has a very classy atmosphere. She had linguine with white clam sauce which looked so delicious, lots of whole clams. My husband had pasta bolognese which he said was good but didn't rave about it; I loved my pasta fagiole. A large portion which allowed me to take home some for dinner! The bread was warm and crusty, and they gave individual plates of olive oil for dipping. Service was slow, and we were never asked if we wanted a drink, nor if we wanted coffee/dessert. had a very bad customer experience at Lusardi's. I made a very special point to tell the front staff that it was a very special birthday celebration and would they bring anything with a candle.They all guaranteed this would happen. As we were winding down our meal, no one ordered dessert, as they were quite full. then the check came. I kept looking for a candle or some recognition of this special occasion. nothing came, and I paid the very large check. walking out I asked what happened and was very, very rudely told that since no one ordered dessert, they has no reason to bring out a candle. I then asked who I could complain to, and was told it would be him. I was very embarrassed and upset for the birthday person, mostly because the restaurant and staff did not apologize, nor attempt to resolve the situation. it's too bad that such very poor customer service could destroy an special evening out. in the future, I, and hope whoever reads this, will not patronize an establishment that does not care about their customers. read more

We went to Lusardi's all the time years ago, but switched to delivery when my mother grew ill. So what a pleasure it was to go to Lusardi's for an early dinner in person with my elderly father recently! I love so many things about this restaurant. It's chic and warm and friendly, with tiny brass lamps on each table and a manager who goes to each table greeting people. The service is attentive and polite. The food is amazing. We love all the veal dishes, especially the Vitello Martini. The pizzas are delicious. Pappardelle Bolognese is fabulous. Salads light, pretty, and perfectly dressed. A serious wine list. If Thanksgiving Day is for turkey and stuffing, Thanksgiving Eve is for spaghetti and meatballs. And celebrating my mother's birthday. And my brother-in-law's birthday. And my nephew's birthday. And me and my twin sister's birthday. So we assembled la familia and came to Lusardi's to enjoy an Italian feast. Upon arriving to the popular Larchmont ristorante, the host quickly escorted our group of sixteen to the private back room that they had set aside for us. Our head waiter took drink orders and returned with wine, beers, and a few cocktails. They have an impressive wine selection. Some of our group split a bottle of Super Tuscan. I kept it simple with a Peroni. Having been here before, my sister ordered appetizers for the table. She chose well. We had the carciofini fritti (crispy artichokes), meatballs, margherita pizza, and insalata della casa (house salad). The artichokes were the standouts. Very crispy and they went perfect with the marinara. For my entree, I picked the lasagna (a special for that night). I've always felt that quality shows best in a simple dish when poor cooking or ingredients have nowhere to hide, and that's how Lusardi's proved itself. The five-layer dish didn't need any gimmicks. It was just a well-executed version of the timeless classic. A nice hearty sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Traditional Italian fare made with fresh ingredients and attention to detail. That's what Lusardi's is all about. Take the meatballs for example. Classically made. No funny stuff. But they were delicious. My eighteen-month old son literally ate FIVE of them--each roughly the size of a billiard ball. Again, simplicity done right. When it came time for dessert, we weren't very hungry, but we ordered some anyway. And I'm glad we did. The tiramisu was among the best I've had. Truly stellar. A great night. Food is good but not outstanding at the Larchmont location. Someone mentioned the original store may be better. Service is slow to nil and our waiters no where to be found. Everyone seems unhappy or doesn't want to work. It is low on our repeat list whenever we visit Larchmont. It can be busy at nights and street parking, but you can usually get a table for that last minute walk-in urge. As for first-time visitors or tourists, you will be alright if you don't have an expectation. read more

Went to Lusardis to celebrate a birthday a couple of weeks ago and had a great experience. We sat outside and I must say their outdoor set up is fantastic. They had heaters too as it was slightly chilly out and beautiful lighting above. We got 2 bottles of Chardonnay which were really good, we shared the Burrata as an app and I must say I haven't had a better burrata anywhere else. Highly recommend the Burrata. My main course was the pappardelle bolognese and I highly recommend that also, the pappardelle was cooked to perfection and the bolognese was delicious. Make sure you try to at least call ahead as they get quite busy, I recommend the outdoor seating for the greatest ambiance, even on a cold night since they have heaters. read more

Really is 5 Stars. I have been here several times and every time you leave with a smile and talking about the food. The Pappardelle Bolognese, Vitello Martini, Pollo Scarpariello, and of course baked clams. By the way, the broccoli will be the best you ever had. (I know that's a weird call out but you'll understand when you try it) Drinks are great, especially the espresso martini (order it without Bailey's). My family planned a Saturday night dinner at lusardis . We sat outside because we're concerned about the increased Covid cases but this restaurant does such an amazing job with the heaters that I was actually hot on a very cold night . Our waiter Robert was so sweet and really made the experience, he recommended a dish for me and I'm so happy I ordered it because the entire table loved it even though it was my main dish lol . The burrata appetizer was out of this world , I order burrata everywhere and I don't know what they do to theirs but it was the best I've ever had . I tried a bit from everyone and all was incredible . I liked it so much that I came here by myself when I had some free time one early afternoon , this time I dined in but it was a bit awkward cause it's not really a place to dine alone but you know I enjoyed myself and ordered my delicious burrata appetizer haha I can't wait to dine here again . This is Lusardi's NYC. We have been dining here since the 80's after Il Monello in the 60's closed. We haven't been back in about 10 years. We have always delighted in their cooking. Our experience was disappointing. The menu has changed and no longer offering a veal chop and the veal scaloppines they made so well. We had no desire to eat breaded veal. My pasta in veal sauce was dry and the ground veal not well seasoned. I had Dover sole. Expensive at $89 which would have been fine for this delicate fish but it was drowned in so much butter that it was coagulating on the plate. My wife had an eggplant appetizer that was totally mushy and tasted OK. Likewise for the veal tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto. Great meat, mediocre preparation. Nice cheesecake but not memorable. The value for the price was not there. Service was excellent. Looks like the menu in Larchmont is the same. Don't think we're going back. read more

After many, many years in Westchester we visited Lusardi's. I camevery away impressed with this long standing Italian restaurant. They offer high quality food and a great wine list. Attentive service, nice ambiance, ample parking, management oversight... They checked all of the boxes. Items were fish, Baked clams, Chicken Scarp with spice on the side, nice salads, quality bread, etc. I look forward to trying other dishes but anticipate similiar execution from the kitchen and wait staff. I was here years ago. Our friend took us here this evening for my husband and my Birthdays. I must start off by saying what a great server we had. Cristos! He was a very professional young man. I can't believe the way he presented himself. Then on to the food. We had some drinks, and a burrata with prosciutto appetizer we split. My friend had the chicken scapriello off the bone, my husband had the veal martini and I had the short ribs (they were off the bone) with polenta! It was all delicious. We had a few deserts. Our new date night spot? My boyfriend and I went to Lusardi's for our anniversary and we had a fabulous time. We of course had to go all out... went for all 3-courses and a round of drinks. First we started with the burrata.... The outside was creamy, while the inside was like silk and partnered well with the tartness from the tomatoes. For drinks we had the Pineapple Express and the mule. They were great, everything you would expect from those two types of drinks and they were definitely strong. For entree with had the rollatini and the ravioli. The rollatini was filled with spinach and ricotta cheese. It is the perfect portion and tastes authentic. The ravioli is filled with ricotta cheese and sausage and my boyfriend loved it! I just needed to do a separate paragraph for the Tiramisu for obvious reasons.... It was amazing... I mean, I will come back just to get this dessert. I will do order pick up for this this dessert.... Highly recommend all this is listed today, but hands down the tiramisu. I believe Afrim was our server and right From the very start when we sat down we felt rushed and was abruptly approached which made us uncomfortable for what we thought would be an upscale relaxed experience We eat out at least 4 times a month during the pandemic and have many choices where to have an enjoyable evening The place was very busy and is a warm and inviting place but this server does not measure up to the same level of what this restaurant deserves ! Place is super nice inside with very romantic ambiance. Service was excellent! We made reservation for 4 people on Saturday night. I had octopus for appetizer and it was great. For main course I had squid ink pasta wot sea food and it was pretty good. My boyfriend had bolognese and it was amazing. Dessert was alright, we had tartufo ice cream. We had better tartufo in other places. Overall very good experience but I do think that it is a little overpriced for what they offer. SO absolutely delicious. We came here for our five-year wedding anniversary after having exhausted all of our regular fine dining options in Northern Westchester. This was the picture of perfection as far as restaurants go. The cozy vibe of the entry was hardly intimidating. We were greeted warmly and invited to take a seat at the bar while we waited. The hibiscus martini was delightful, but not something I should have had on an empty stomach. That was remedied. We enjoyed the artichoke appetizer, the eggplant appetizer, and the baked clams. We split the cacio e pepe, and my husband had the duck, while I had the branzino. Every. Single. Bite. Was. Amazing. The cacio e pepe was lighter than you would expect, and the branzino was really the star -- crusted in almond slivers. I've always been pleased with Lusardi's food but last night the $50 special veal chop was not medium rare, as ordered, and as dry as a bone. I've passed Lusardi's numerous times on my way to the neighboring Rio Bravo (my favorite Mexican restaurant). The former, though, always caught my eye because of its clean lines from the exterior. For my mother's birthday dinner we were brainstorming places to eat and she ultimately decided to try someplace new and chose Lusardi's - so off we went! Unbeknownst to me before dining, Lusardi's is owned by the same people that own Chat 19 (also in Larchmont) and Chat American Grill (in Scarsdale). I've dined at both of those restaurants and had lukewarm experiences. However, since Lusardi's is an Italian restaurant and the other two were more New American, I kept an open mind. We made reservations and our table was waiting for us when we got there. The restaurant has a classic look - it's kind of narrow and compartmentalized with a bar on one side and tables on the other. It's mostly dark wood tones with white tablecloths - the dining room had a warm feel but wasn't stuffy. The menu is separated by apps, salads, pastas, mains, and sides. I started with the insalata della casa which contained baked goat cheese, walnuts, and diced tomatoes. The salad was good - the real star was the baked goat cheese which was warm and super creamy. For my main I went with a spin on chicken capricciosa - super thin breaded chicken breast topped with arugula and fresh mozzarella. The chicken was great - super super thin with good flavor. The greens complemented it well - I was a fan of the dish. For dessert I had ricotta cheesecake. It was a little to heavy for me personally, but good overall. Service was excellent; they were totally on top of their game making sure we were taken care of, and they were really friendly as well. Overall, Lusardi's is a solid Italian restaurant - I wouldn't say it's the best Italian food I've had but for a neighborhood spot it serves it's purpose. Server "J" was not pleasant, and the experience was not professional. We were not given menus, but he mumbled something about choice of water/drinks. I did not realize he was taking the drink order. He did not remove the extra place setting. Generally, the food here is good but the large up charge on my cocktail and $17 for a small side dish of plain pasta to accompany an entrée appears to be price gouging.
