Stopped here after a game while in the area for work. I randomly came across a video of dishes from Giorgio online and made the reservation that day in anticipation of traveling to New Rochelle. Just me, which I was hoping there would be a bar so I could sit at it rather than take up a whole table but - was sat immediately and ordered a drink. Inside is very small - Long and thin with dark ambience and low lighting. Liked the atmosphere a lot. As a table of one, they brought out table rolls with a bruschetta type spread to put on them. This was good - though butter would have been fine too. The waitress explained specials, and I went with the handmade mozzarella cheese sticks for my appetizer. These were very good. The marinara was also tangy and tasty. For my entree I ended up ordered both the cacio e pepe and the special chicken Parmesan with tri-color sauce. The cacio e pepe was VERY good. Al dente noodles, the sauce was about as perfect as you can ask for - just the right balance of cream and pepper. Wow. The tri-color chicken Parmesan was incredibly good too: thin and crispy chicken, a thin layer of cheese melted on top, and the three sauces on top of that providing a tapestry of tasty flavors: marinara, vodka, and pesto. I could eat that all day. So good and a MUST HAVE if you travel here. The dish also came with a small side of vodka sauce on penne. I ended up with tiramisu as dessert, though they were missing a dark chocolate item which would have been perfect. Sipped a coffee and paid satisfied. I was really excited to try this place yesterday. We got there at 5pm with a reservation. First of all, it's a small place which I like but the ambiance was ruined by their choice of music. Awful early 90's music, Tina Marie stuff which was very popular in the Bronx back then. They need to change that and go Italian or classical. Served hot rolls which were great and came with an eggplant spread. Very good. My hubby ordered the octopus salad. Excellent. He ordered the black squid ink pasta with lump crab. AWFUL. AWFUL. He is from Rome so I'm not surprised he didn't like it. It was just dried black pasta with canned fake crab all floating in water, not a sauce. I had the Bolognese with fettuccine. I knew if this restaurant was truly good, the dish would say it all. It did. No flavor AT ALL! The pasta was exactly the same as those noodles you get with Raman noodles in the grocery store. It was strange. I tried to eat it and then I see my husband fish out a hair from his dish. That was that. Got the check without a complaint from us. You are given no choice but to start tipping at 20% and up. Just an fyi. I do not understand why the reviews here are glowing. Same on Google. Sorry. I'm not believing them. I won't be back. Had a terrific experience this evening at Da Giorgio. My wife and I And two friends were seated and greeted by our waiter Sal. Ordered some Montipulciano and some apps ricotta and honey Calamari and fig special. All delicious. Entrees included chick parm. The size of a dinner plate thin and served with pesto tomato and vodka sauce. ( grandma special) rigatoni bolognese. Fish special and shrimp with pasta. Plates were clean. Got here at 5:30 on a Thursday. As soon as we were seated water glasses were filled a basket of bread was brought over and our drink order was taken. I was planning to get something from the menu but changed my mind when the waiter said Soft Shell Crabs. When that is one of the specials I will continue to order it. I've heard about it for quite some time, but I tend to frequent the same 3 Italian restaurants, well now I found a 4th, quaint, well set up, friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, intimate small scale, big on taste, lets start with appetizers, my wife had a stuffed meatball, out of this world, I had Calamari, can't tell you what the dipping sauce was, but it was out of this world, main course my wife had moneybag pasta in a vodka sauce, she loved it, I had Veal Marsala, delicious wine taste with beautiful mushrooms, and veal do tender you could cut it with a butter knife, our server was a lovely lady, and at the end Giorgio himself came out to introduce himself and ask how we liked the food, he made some new friends, now my son and his girlfriend are coming next weekend to enjoy it too read more

Nice bang for your buck. This place makes some of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. 10/10 foodgasm. The Cavatelli Casareccia is something that is worth breaking a diet over. Their veal martini fish is cooked to perfection. The service is exceptional. The dining room is very narrow with a table of 4 on each side of the isle. The downsides: They do not have a bar and their house wines were underwhelming. The restaurant can get very noisy because there is nothing to dampen the sound from bouncing off the floors and wood floors. There are stains all over the ceiling. read more

After sitting in my bookmarks for years, I have finally made it to Da Giorgio. I first discovered this spot when chef-owner Giorgio Giacinto competed on Chopped - he's originally from the Bronx so he stood out to me. Since then, my parents had been here a few times with great things to say, which only further persuaded me to visit. My opportunity finally came when we decided to celebrate my brother's birthday here with Sunday dinner - so off we went. Da Giorgio is located in the North Ridge Shopping Center, a small strip of stores among a few local businesses. It's not a large space, especially when comparing it to other restaurants in Westchester. The layout is rectangular with tables lining the perimeter - I would say there were 20 or so tables in the entire restaurant. The decor is mostly Earth tones with lots of Italian accents and medium wood finishes. They play a combination of English, Spanish, and Italian music which adds to the atmosphere without overpowering the aesthetic. The menu is separated by apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. They make their pastas fresh, so I decided to splurge and divulge in some carbs - but first, apps. We decided to split three: the spicy calamari Calabrese and two specials: the eggplant stack and the grilled peaches. All of the apps were really tasty; the peppers added an extra layer to the calamari to make it stand out from the obligatory fried calamari on the menu of every Italian restaurant known to man. The eggplant was tender and the red sauce it was in was full of flavor. The peaches were wrapped in prosciutto, and served with mozzarella on a bed of arugula drizzled in balsamic. For my main, the lasagna Calabrese was speaking to me - the pasta was tender and the layers were embedded with mini meatballs. The flavorful marinara really brought it together - it was a solid dish. Service was great - everyone was super friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a great experience at Da Giorgio. I'm generally wary of Italian restaurants in Westchester, but they have proved to be an exception to the norm. I rarely review restaurants. But this is the best Italian restaurant I have been to, and I have been to Italy four times and eaten all over Italy. Better than any Italian restaurant I have been in NYC. The ambience is cozy perfect...Service is impeccable. We always go with their specials and have had the most amazing experience everytime. It may even be the best restaurant I have been to but I am partial to South Indian food and have eaten in places in Chennai where the South Indian food is exemplary. But this is better than any Indian restaurant I have eaten in the USA. And the price to taste ratio is incredibly low. read more

Delicious! Attentive, friendly staff; warm, cozy setting and excellent food. We shared 1 dish from each of the 4 "courses" - started with light, garlicky stuffed clams and then each of the next 3 course were split for us in the kitchen - love when that happens! Caesar salad was dressed well with a nice snap of the lettuce. Squid ink pasta with crab meat was perfectly cooked all around and full of flavor. To end, the chicken scarp - wish the peppers were spicier but the chicken, potatoes and sausage were all delicious and perfectly cooked. Few things to say about reservations. You have to call for 5 or more. They use RESY which is not as easy as Open Table but not a big deal since I would have to call for a family of 5. When I did call, they had no availability. The man was short when I tried to make a reservation for another day. He said they are booked up for the month and it is a very small restaurant. CLICK! Ok so it CLICKED, after asking around I can summarize that they have no availability NOT because they are great but because they are very small as the man said and only open four evenings a week. Of course there is no availability because there is LITERALLY no room at the inn or average restaurant time frames. Would have given a higher score if we weren't the last people to get seated for the night despite having an 8 o'clock reservation. I think we were finally seated at nine and might have been later..., maybe not. In any case the chef deserves better management and if I'm being nibbley, perhaps a more charming location than a strip mall next to a pharmacy. It's a small restaurant--very cozy. Servers have always been lovely--as was our server this time. We were 3 people and shared a special as an appetizer. It was scallop shells that were filled with assorted seafood and breadcrumbs and herbs and baked. Delicious. I had a shrimp special--it was slightly overcooked. Profiling and worth service EVER! Please do not support a place of discrimination like this! When we arrived at the restaurant, there were 3 tables free. The hostess (looks like the owner) told us she has a table. She was fetching the menu, when a couple and another group of 4 arrived. She talked with them, sit them before us. We waited thinking we will be next. But then, since we were 3 (with a kid) and the other group were 4, she asked her waiter that he needs to tell us that there are no more table available. I have never been treated like this before! Ehh. Ordered take out. Waited for so long to get my food. I sat in the store (after previously waiting 45 mins for my order). Total waiting over 1:25 mins. It was my anniversary and after waiting so long-- I finally lost my patience and asked if my food would be ready-- and FINALLY someone went to check in it and brought it out.
