Margaritas
Margo B.

To say we've been here over 100 times would not be a hyperbole. It's like a second home. We love Lupitas!

Queso Fundido after we already started digging in :)

Stopped in after kicking around town and we loved it! Started with Queso Fundido, delicious crispy chorizo crumbled on top! We had the Carnitas Platter & Birria Tacos which are new to the menu. Everything was really tasty and the service was perfect! Thumbs up!

Cheese enchiladas

We brought a large group and the service was very good and the cost was reasonable. The food was really good but since it's Ohio, I wasn't expecting amazing Mexican food like in the border states.

Taco salad had much to be desired....

Aahhh! This is not good. The only thing I would dream of suggesting is the $1 margarita pitchers. And only because they're dirt cheap.

The food is very good. The interior of the restaurant could use some updating. The shrimp fajita's are very very good!

It is also open on Mondays unlike many other restaurants in the area. The restaurant has a very cute mural outside. Inside it's very colorful and has cute Thai art on the walls. It's definitely a place that looks authentic. I read the menu while inside and it had so many choices including cocktails and many food options. Many choices for any taste! I was really looking forward to trying Thai food here. Unfortunately, I ended up walking in and out due to disappointing service or the lack thereof. When I walked in (almost at 7 PM), there was a long line of diners that were not acknowledged. They were confused and asking each other where to wait and who will take their table reservation. It was very unclear where the hostess is, where to pick up orders, or wait for a table. The restaurant is very small and was overpacked on a Monday night. I had to wait an extremely long time right in front of the hostess to be acknowledged. The wait time for a table was 45 minutes to 1 hour. The wait for to go order was also 45 minutes. I would probably wait but it was scorching hot inside despite it being it being the 70's outside. I was hoping that the service would be more attentive. My suggestion to anyone visiting is to figure out a time when they're not busy. The food is probably very good, but get ready for not so good service and extended waits.

Lobby is large and the restaurant is right there plus a little outdoor patio area. Hostess sat us right away and brought waters. The menu is part breakfast and part lunch. 3/4 leans on breakfast and bottom 1/4 is lunch sandwiches. Lots to choose from and it all sounded good. Prices average around the $15 range for most items. I settled on the chicken salad sandwich with pea salad side. Sandwich came out on toasted wheat bread. Here is the thing good amount in the middle but the edges lacked and chicken salad. Kinda annoying. Chicken salad had grapes, onions, pecans in it. It was good. Just wish put it to the edge with of the bread. Pea salad was good and I got a really good amount. Fresh with a bit of onion, bacon, sweet dressing and chili flakes. It was good. Kathy got the chicken BLT with fries. Both sandwich and fries good. Fries had rosemary and garlic. Crispy and good. Bit too much garlic. Service was OK. She was attentive. They have a full bar. It's nice space. Open and they have a room with glass garage doors and a mural. Cool looking. Seems like a nice hotel. Good experience overall. I'd get something different and see what that's like next time.

Server came to the table 1 time and I had to ask for drinks from someone else. The Ruben bread was soaked in sauerkraut juice and the pasta was ok. Then we ordered dessert. Our server brought our check and cashed us out and after 35 minutes, we were still waiting for a slice of cake. We went to the bar and asked for a refund of the dessert as we were still waiting for it after another 15 mins and our server was there and gave us the worst attitude for it. Will never return! 0/10 would not recommend!!

For MY 1000th Yelp review (haha)…read more... I was in the area for something (a Yelp event maybe?), I needed dinner before driving back home, and I happened to walk by The Feve so I decided to stop in. I visited in June 2025 on a weekday evening, with fellow Yelper, Olga N. We were told that this restaurant in Oberlin has been open for 30 years which is amazing. It must be a staple in the community. FOOD - I ordered the Avocado Bacon Burger with a side salad ($15.50) and I think my friend ordered the same burger. The burger tasted delicious. The burger was juicy and it was a very thick-cut of meat. The avocado wasn't too fresh and it looked like a paste. The bacon was crispy. The small side salad was good and typical of a regular salad, consisting of mixed greens, shaved carrots, and cucumbers. Tomatoes would have been a nice addition. I forgot what dressing the salad came with. PARKING - Street parking only. SERVICE -- friendly and efficient. I asked for warm lemon water and it was brought right up. It wasn't a busy night especially since my friend and I arrived a bit later (around 7:45pm ish). FYI -- There are 2 sections of the establishment - Downstairs closes at 10pm - Upstairs closes at midnight but food ordering ends at 11pm The Feve is a popular restaurant amongst the Oberlin community, including students from nearby Oberlin college. While those living in Cleveland may not know about this restaurant, I'm glad that I ventured in. Stop on in and support this local business. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 159/250 total reviews in 2026 - 1000 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 12 July 2026

This taqueria is open on Monday unlike many other local restaurants. The restaurant has a small patio with five tables. The interior contains festive bright orange walls and minimal decor. There are four tables and three high tops inside. They are pretty spread out so you can have a more private dinner with your company. During my dinner there were quite a few students who picked up to go orders, only a few people chose to dine in. The students seemed to be regulars. Guests self-order at the counter and sit wherever they want. You are served with 5-10 minutes at your table which is excellent. You can choose items from the kitchen or build your own (Chipotle style). Service is very friendly. Everyone is greeted upon entry. The wait staff seems to know many people by name. Students were trained as employees when I was in. They were trying very hard and were receiving very patient guidance. I feel confident that they'll do very well with service long-term. The food is okay but nothing to rave about to be very honest. If I was a college student, I would probably devour this food though. I ordered Street Taco Plate with 3 tacos (quesa birria with consume) with arroz rojo and black beans, Sweet Potato Fries (with queso sauce), and water. My grand total was $28.76 before tip. Street taco plate had tacos that were over-fried with meat that was too salty. They were just not too cohesive and too greasy for my liking. The black beans and rice were presented in the same container which made this combo too watery. The rice didn't taste all the way cooked through. Beans were actually pretty good and weren't falling apart. The side queso (upgrade of $2.50) was tasty but seemed to be standing out for a while and solidified a bit. The fries had a very generous serving, they were almost the size of my palm. I felt like for $6.50 (for the fries) it was a great value. They were a bit dry but pretty good. They also had aqua fresca but I opted in for water. I noticed that most people ordered tacos at other tables. Maybe other food choices are better. I didn't get through most of my food and didn't get it to go either. Lastly about parking. Street parking is available around the area. On a Monday there were many options, not sure about the weekend. Definitely make a day out of being in Oberlin when visiting this taqueria. The area is very walkable and has a lot of points of interest.
