Not happy at all !!! They had a special if you spend 120 or more you get a free shirt . Our table had 119 , 43 and 41 dollar bills . Wow! One of the best Mexican meals I've had in Cleveland. We ordered take out for nine people and the order was perfect, including a wide range of dishes. I am a vegan and loved the simplicity of beans, rice, pico de gallo, salsa verde, and corn tortillas. Portions were surprisingly generous. Normally I get three tortillas to an order in other venues, but her I got six. Chips and salsa were thin, crispy, and well seasoned. This place has always been good. Traditional Mexican fare, not just fancy shmancy tacos. Great margaritas. Came in tonight and ordered the pineapple marg. Your basic top shelf margarita, but for about $1.00 more, they carve out a pineapple, pour the marg in the pineapple, and serve it with all the fruit from the pineapple. Very impressive and tasty. So good!!!!! Excellent combination of steak and chorizo on each taco. The salsa here is excellent too. Really liked the cilantro in it. Highly recommend the cheese dip too! Excellent service. The host and table staff were friendly, helpful, attentive and I could tell took great care of customers. Didn't have room to eat dessert at the restaurant. Brought a slice of chocolate cake home. This place has been my go-to in the area when I want amazing Mexican food. The staff is super attentive and friendly. No sooner are you seated than the first bowl of complimentary chips and salsa are placed in front of you! Now that's what I call service! We went during lunch and took advantage of some amazing lunch specials. Beef burrito for $9 and a ginormous house margarita for $7 to wash it down with. I don't eat cheese...don't judge, so I love that Cozumel always substitutes out the sauce for me, tonight I went for salsa verde on my seafood enchiladas and it was awesome! I'm from Columbus but visit Brunswick occasionally with a friend who is from there. I've been to this location twice and had an amazing meal both times. This last visit we got it to go and I tried the Three Taquitos that are filled with chicken and onions. They are fried and topped with Cozumel's amazing queso. They also have the best mexican rice in my opinion. Their chips and queso which I didn't get a pic of are also really delicious. I tried the churros for dessert and they were unique with a sweet cream cheese filling. Overall I've always enjoyed my food from here and will be back again. read more

What can I say. Solid food and solid service. Cozumel is a go to family restaurant with a multitude of choices. The service is so good at this restaurant. You will not wait more than 2 minutes until a bowl of chips and salsa are sitting in front of you, and I've been there when it's dead and I've been there at peak hours. And for the price. My goodness... it is a lot of food for around 10 dollars a plate, with very little wait. The only thing this place is missing (and I haven't looked that close) is the Christmas lights, a picture of the Virgin Mary on the wall, and the little old señorita flipping corn tortillas in her hand in the back. This place is great. Try the Mexican tacos and add the lime, cilantro, and onion on it. Throw back a gigantic beer and it's a dudes (and ladies I'm sure) paradise! read more

Hands down the best Mexican option in Brunswick! Take out was extremely organized and the food take out came out on time and the staff was friendly! Consistently delicious carnitas, queso and salsa. The burrito is enough for 2-3 meals. Between 4 people, it wasn't too expensive either! We were super happy with everything we ordered. Tacos were great and the carnitas burrito was our favorite and the Quesadilla Verde Pollo Loco Burrito Supreme ! The taco salad would have been better in restaurant, but the chips were still warm and they gave us plentiful amounts of chips and salsa, there was so much food and the beans and rice were amazing for the next day lunch too! Everything was accurate I don't have enough good things to say about Cozumel, I recommend you order your next Mexican night from here. read more

I must lower my review of Cozumel. They have done what good restaurants don't do with customers. I've enjoyed Cozumel for 15 years due to their high food standards and good serving sizes. The restaurants deserving of high praise have maintained their standards and servings with moderate price increases. Cozumel has implemented full inflation prices and cut servings by half. A tortilla salad is now sized like a starter salad instead of a meal. Don't tip your plate or the watery beans will run off. It is sad to see a highly liked restaurant decide to join the competition to be mediocre. read more

I haven't visited this Cozumel location in about seven years, so it is time for an update. We stopped in recently with 14 people and we had to wait a bit to be seated on a busy night. We were seated after about 20 minutes - not bad! After we were seated, the server started pumping out the chips and salsa. The five kids we had with us polished off at three and a half bowls of chips! Amazingly, the waiter must have noticed this because the moment a bowl was emptied a hot bowl of chips was being passed down the long table to the kids. He was a friendly server and kept our drinks full. They brought us a pitcher of water, which was great. But the tap water isn't filtered. They should filter the water so it has no impurities, which I can taste. I ordered the fajita chicken bowl and it was very tasty. I don't need to carbs from fajita wraps, so I usually just order a bowl. The quality of the food was very good and seemed to be on par with the other Cozumels that I've been eating at. I am happy to report that Cozumel is still my favorite Mexican restaurant chain in the Cleveland area. read more

Follows social distancing: YES When I checked in I was directed to pay. They have X's marked on the ground showing where to stand. The entire front area of the restaurant has been converted into a takeout area.They have done a great job here implementing rules to limit social distancing. Ordered takeout from here this past week. Hard shell tacos don't really travel all that well for takeout. The three tacos were flabby and the beef filling fell out of each taco. Rice and beans are standard for this type of place. I ordered chips and salsa. The large versions. We got enough chips and salsa for the next two meals after this one. I enjoy the food here. I'll be ordering again real soon. read more

Perfect place to go to for real Mexican food. The food tastes very very good even though i didn't get much it still tasted really good. Service was amazing our waiter got here fast with everything and the food came out in about 15 mins but was very good. I was satisfied with my food and service. The mango guacamole was very good. Like other reviews said, it was heavy on cilantro, which I enjoyed. The ingredients in the guacamole were very finely diced. Salsa and chips were excellent. Chicken chimichangas were okay, but next time I'd ask them to fry a little longer because they got a bit soggy. My boyfriend got the chicken and steak fajitas and reported back that they were great. The waiter forgot the "no cheese, no sour cream" part but fixed quickly, as he checked in after a few bites (like any good waiter should). He removed the incorrect plate and returned with a corrected one in probably a minute. The outside patio looked cool. read more

Worst Mexican food in Cleveland. The atmosphere is ok but the food is bland and not good.

This place has very large portions and great value. The quality of the food was good but it is your standard Mexican chain restaurant. We ordered two lunch dishes to feed three of our kids and a appetizer, but my husband and I were pretty full on the leftovers from our kids! The outdoor seating area was beautiful and has plenty of shade for all the guests. The restaurant has a small bit of grass that is adjacent to other people's yards. It must be a little annoying for them to have to listen to Mexican music constantly during the summer months! The women's room is all the way at the end of the restaurant while the men's room is right by the outdoor seating area. The parking lot is right next to the outdoor seating area but guests can't see the parked cars for the most part. It makes it convenient because you don't have to go all the way through the inside restaurant in order to leave after eating in the outdoor patio. All in all, a good lunch on a beautiful day and easy on the wallet. read more
