This is a quaint little boutique and bakery combination that has some selective hand made home-goods and a variety of cheesecakes and sweet treats. We stopped in because we were in the area and found the flavors, service and price to all be excellent. The lady explained everything to us, giving us a wide selection of all 15 or so flavors of cheesecake and we grabbed a Dubai chocolate Oreo cheesecake boat as well. Strongsville store Amazing cheesecake! I wasn't even a cheesecake fan until I tried her cheesecakes at a wedding. Now they have a storefront. You can still order bulk or special occasion orders. It is great to be able to go in and try all the seasonal flavors. They usually have at least a dozen different flavors available. Plus the cheesecakes are always so perfect looking. The store also sells unique gifts like candles, shirts and signs. read more

I struggle on if this should be a 3 or 4. Their flavors aren't really flavors, they are toppings which I think I quite misleading and while I know prices are going up everywhere, this was pretty expensive cheesecake. If you like traditional cheesecakes it's good, but if you are thinking the flavors will be like Cheesecake Factory, they aren't. read more

My fiancee and I were invited to dinner at a friend's house. We wanted to bring something special. I read the reviews on Yelp and chose Messy Apron. When I arrived, a young man cheerfully greeted me and offered to help me find something. He suggested the mini bite cheesecakes. He took the time to tell me about the different flavors and which were the best sellers. WOW! They were a hit at dinner. Each was smooth, creamy, and bursting with flavor. A definite 5 in my book. Messy Aprons & Company specializes in cheesecakes which are made fresh daily. We carry mini cheesecakes, cups, slices, dips, whole cheesecakes and many other items in our gift boutique. Mini cheesecakes - 41+ doz made daily for your enjoyment. These cheesecakes are vanilla bean and topped with many different items. Cheesecake Cups - 5oz cheesecake cups are perfect for on the go. These cups are vanilla bean and topped with your choice of toppings. Whole Cheesecake - These cheesecakes are created and flavor infused and made per order. This means you can call the store and place an order for a 6" or 9" cheesecake and it is created per your request. This differs from our mini's as the mini's are not designed to be flavor infused. Everything in our store is made with premium dairy ingredients, bought fresh weekly and made fresh daily for your enjoyment. We also carry gluten free options as well as sugar free.

History

Established in 2012.

Cheesecake was something I always baked with my grandmother. When she passed away in 2012 I was so sad and part of my grief therapy was baking her cheesecake. I created the mini cheesecakes which are our most popular item on the menu. Our story was just beginning and every time we shared our cheesecakes we got more orders & through word of mouth our business has more than tripled. In 2022 we opened a family owned store front in Strongsville where we also have a cute little gift boutique from local businesses.

Meet the Business Owner: Melissa S.

I am happily married of 30 years and a mother of 4 and now a grandmother. I retired from the airline business where I discovered my love of traveling & exploring different places, foods and of course desserts. I love watching football and spending downtime with family and friends. During the summer we like to do some family camping, our favorite place to visit is Kelley’s Island. I truly love creating and sharing my cheesecakes & other desserts with my customers. We are always looking to add to our menu and love changing up our flavors weekly for you to enjoy!

Inside appeared to be a standard bakery, and since it was after lunch on the weekend before Christmas, the goods were almost sold out. I could tell that this was a decent place because the servers inside knew their pastries and how to manage the line to keep them moving in and out. The cookies and pastries appeared well made and decorated. They had samples which were so yummy and light (which could be dangerous). My wife decided to get a prepared box of holiday cookies to take home. The cookies were tasty, unfortunately the gingersnap flavor wandered over into the other cookies in the box. I would recommend getting cookies separately and not packaged. There were so many varieties of baked goods, so it would be hard to pick and choose unless you went to this place frequently. Good stuff, cookies by the pound. Various cakes and pastries also being sold. I think I even saw donuts. Keep up the good work! If we are in the neighborhood again, will be stopping by.
