    Flan
    Clarence E.

Fun and lively place with a rack of pastries, case of croissants and more plus the taqueria station. I was looking for something to nosh as my adventure to Maligne was delayed when they didn't open for lunch. Service was very friendly and I felt like it would be a hit. If only the food matched. I had a Pollo Asado and Barbarcoa taco. Shredded meat with a red sauce, I'd give it a 3.5. But the Chicken was cut and nuked before adding to the taco and unfortunately it was dry. I tossed picked at it and tossed most of it. The Flan looked interesting and lady said it was good. Sorry but it was somehow split between a flan and jello, not too sweet though. At least I tried the place. Perhaps pastries and bakery good were better.

    Champagne Cake

I was looking for a champagne birthday cake for my finances 18 birthday awhile back and they did an amazing job being able to do everything last minute. It came out amazing and tasty! Many places weren't familiar with that type of cake so they turned us away. But not them, they took on the project and succeeded! My fiancé loved it and was happy with it, that's all that matters!! Highly recommend!

I want to thank Tommy and his amazing staff for providing the most beautiful cake and deserts for our wedding. Tommy was extremely communicative and attentive to our plans during the entire process. To say that we are satisfied is an understatement. The cake was perfectly designed, moist & flavorful, churros cinnaminny delicious, cupcakes on point, mini conchas soft and tasty, chocoflan decadent, and our favorite Mexican wedding cookies were a definite hit! We highly recommend Lupitas for daily treats or special occasions. Thank you again Tommy, we hope to see you soon.

Cute and inexpensive breakfast spot that was super convenient before heading to the aquarium. The breakfast burrito was really good and huge...totally worth the price. The pan dulce was fresh and flavorful. The staff that helped us was really friendly as well.

I had seen this place pop up on some of my socials so I decided to needed to make it a stop on my next trip down in the area. I don't know if it was the time of day I went (Saturday around 3pm) but I was not impressed. Yes it was later in the day but for a place that is open until 10pm you would think there would be baked good around the clock. I came in and there was minimal pan dulce, no conchas, and what was out was donuts and cookies. I saw they had the Dubai Croissant and it looked good so that's what I got. I was underwhelmed. While it looked great, it was a plain croissant and that chocolate drizzled over it. It wasn't even a flaky croissant so I'm not sure if it was baked in house. It has the crunchy phyllo dough inside but there was not pistachio or any kind of filling mixed with the phyllo flakes so it was super dry. I would like to give this place another chance at some point just based on other reviews and again it may have just been the wrong time to go.

The real entrance is a back door that looks pretty uninviting but trust me, you want to enter it. When you are inside you will be met with racks of freshly baked bread ready to go home with you. If no one is around just holler out and someone will be with you promptly. Palermo's is a commercial bakery that you can find in nearby grocery stores but why not go directly to the source and support local. We picked up a sourdough baguette, a sweet baguette, and a few sandwiches rolls. Overall, my favorite was the sourdough baguette. I can't wait to come back here and order more bread to share. *** cash only ***

I'm a sucker for a good baguette. I wanted it to be slightly crispy on the outside so that you hear…read morethe crunch when you lightly press it between your fingers, but I also want it to be dense enough that it springs back... all while retaining a soft and airy interior that isn't TOO airy that, when you slice it to make Crostini, the air pockets are too large to hold anything on top of it. Is that too much to ask? All jokes aside, their sourdough baguette was excellent. A bit firmer than I like, but an even texture on the inside, and the tanginess was exactly right. The sweet baguette was a bit undercooked in my opinion, and did not have the crispier texture or color on the outside that I was looking for. The interior had the density I was looking for, but the sweetness was missing. I also ordered a sandwich bread And it was "fine" but not anything special. I'm excited to come by and purchase more sourdough and other bread options, but I'll pass on the other two that I tried. Remember to bring cash as this is a very casual walk up spot. There was one gentleman working in the bakery when I arrived, and he had to stop what he was doing in order to help us. He was friendly and informative and made us feel welcome. Finding the entrance is a bit confusing at first but they do have plenty of signage to direct you to the right door. Even so, when you walk up the steps, you feel like you are entering through the back entrance of a restricted employee only area. Don't let the grimy exterior fool you. Inside is very clean and this is a working commercial bakery. You won't find a counter or register in sight. Just say hello when you arrive and someone will be with you shortly. Enjoy!

It didn't look like it died down which is awesome for this business. I believe I waited 20-30 minutes in line before I reached the display case. There were so many delicious things to choose from, it was a challenge to decide! I opted for a croissant sandwich, a blue corn cookie, and some sweet treats for the beach. I also ordered a seasonal latte, I believe it was cherry chocolate with oat milk less sweet. There's a nice outdoor seating area with many tables in chairs. Since the weather was nice we decided to stop and eat for a bit. The ambience was very nice and calm. The food was delicious and their house made pickles were fantastic. They were crisp, fresh, and complimented the turkey sandwich so well. The blue corn cookie was very interesting and reminiscent of a tortilla chip. I'd definitely come back here if I were in the area.

Latte was decent, not too bitter or acidic and it was creamy They try a lot of variations for pastries, both savory and sweet! The savory danish was really tasty and there was some pickled / citrus component that added more depth and made it super interesting to eat! The salmon croissant was alright, had a really nice flaky crust but the filling tasted kinda gamey , would've been nice to have another component to balance it out. Cookies were niceeeee the buckwheat choco cookie had nice amounts of sea salt and was like a brownie texture on the inside. Choco chip cookie was thin and crispy on the outside with chocolate blobs spread around, quite sweet though There was a line going out the door but only had to wait around 15 min!

It's a small shop, and since I wasn't sure yet if I wanted a pastry, I ordered a coffee first while my husband looked at the case. One of the women behind the counter told me, "Usually you order pastries first and then we get the coffee at the end." The way it was said immediately made me feel uncomfortable, like I was somehow doing something wrong. I apologized and explained we weren't from here and I wasn't even sure yet if I wanted anything else. Their tone changed after that and became much friendlier, which honestly made the interaction feel even more awkward. My husband ended up ordering pastries, including a chocolate croissant for me, and both the latte and croissant were good. Sometimes the experience matters just as much as the food. It's hard to fully enjoy a place when your first impression made you feel unwelcome.
