Cinnamon sugar cronut
Michael I.

Cronut was delicious, light and flaky, cost was 2.50. Service was fast and friendly, plenty of parking out front. Both inside and outside seating.

So many choices. The place is so busy, batches of fresh donuts are constantly being placed under this glass case.

Come see Larry & the gang for some of the best donuts in California. If you're lucky like me, you'll be handed a free hot fresh donut! Never thought I'd catch myself saying this, but it blows away K.K. Friendly, hospitable staff & location. I comfortably set up camp for myself to read & study, which they don't seem to mind at all. Enjoy!

Outside!

Perfect timing for us to visit this place, because we were in the area. I actually saw this place on one of my IG feed of donut place recommendations. I'm glad I saved it! The inside is small hence it is basically grab and go type of place. However, there is a table outside for you to enjoy your delicious treats! The service is excellent! The staff were personable and generous! And of course the donuts were devoured.

Everyone was amazing! Decent prices for the doughnuts and burrito, we also got coffee and it was amazing! We will definitely be coming back here

This is a cute and very busy donut shop. When you walk in, it's a very open and inviting space. I really tried my best not to order the whole store because they have such a delicious variety of donuts. The lady who took my order and helped me was very nice. I ordered: 1. Bacon croissantwich - I loved the layers of the croissant. It was moist and not too messy. It was a perfect balance of egg and cheese. 2. Chicken apple sausage breakfast burrito - perfect balance of egg and sausage. It was simple, but oh, so satisfying. 3. Cronut - Crunchy exterior but fluffy on the inside. I loved separating each layer. 4. Apple fritter - a classic done right. Crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. 5. Blueberry twist - you can definitely taste the blueberries even if you don't see it. This was a delicious treat. Everything we tried was amazing. I was hoping to come back the next day to try more stuff. Maybe next time.

Fresh and warm - INSANELY GOOD!!

I had a great first time visit. I was welcomed right away and offered a donut hole sample I ordered my donuts, breakfast burrito and croissant sandwich. While waiting, bakers brought out a fresh batch and they gave me a sugar donut to try warm. IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER! Warm, soft and ohh so good!! - croissant 831 sandwich was super yummy with the sausage patty. - breakfast burrito was okay; potato/hash brown piece wasn't good.

The cute boxes they put the doughnuts in!

We have gone twice and the staff were kind, patient and friendly. The doughnuts are fresh. Today we grabbed a giant chocolate doughnut with sprinkles. I also purchased a pistachio cream doughnut. I did not take a phone but it was so good! The wait was not long! There were tables inside if you want to stay and enjoy your treats. We opted to take ours home.

We were visiting Monterey and wanted tea and coffee and found this place on Yelp. Decided to get some donuts as well. They also have breakfast sandwiches (menu attached) Ambiance: It is a very small place and they have a few tables. My suggestion is to get your food to go. Food: We ordered donuts (pics attached) - 2 chocolate raised, 1 maple raised and 1 jelly glazed. Also ordered 2 glazed raised donuts (sorry, no pic). These are probably some of the best donuts I've ever tasted. We also ordered two iced coffees (really good) and a hot tea. Not a great tea selection so don't recommend. Logistics: you stand in line, order, pay for and receive your order at the register. It was really slow. When it was finally our turn, she boxed up our donuts and set them to the side and said nothing else. We finally had to ask about our donuts, tea and coffees. It appeared as though she completely forgot. I'm giving this place 4 stars because the donuts are great but docking it a star because of the logistics.

Donuts! Yum!

The service! The employee here was super helpful and sweet for our first time she answered all our questions as to what everything was. Great friendly attitude! Food and coffee was also amazing!

Where are the toppings? Not hiding in here, thats for sure.

Popular place. A bit too sugary for my pallette. Tasted extra sweet. Hubby liked them though.

At their recommendation, I had their blueberry twist which is unique to this business. It was good but not that special.

We got the blueberry, cherry, and gluten free donuts. We had a short wait and then got our donuts warm. We had to let them cool and then my kids seemed to enjoy the cherry. When my son started eating the blueberry one though, he said it was like dough. I didn't think much of it until he opened it up and I realized it was raw/undercooked dough. This was really disappointing and I had to toss both blueberry donuts. The donuts looked a bit messy and rustic but it didn't bother me honestly. The undercooked donuts are a major issue though. I had the gluten free donut and it was very sweet and dense. It's almost like they added double glaze to hide the flavor and texture of the donut itself. I wanted to like this place but food safety is a huge priority for me and I don't think I would return sadly.

It had freshly cooked bacon to perfection, butter lettuce, the freshest tomatoes, an aioli sauce, on perfectly toasted sourdough bread. Would 100% get it again and I hope it's not seasonal because everyone should try this sandwich!! Flourless Brownie: 8/10 It definitely is a flourless brownie the texture of it is almost like fudge. It melts in your mouth instantly, there's not really much of a structure to the brownie. If you're a texture person this might not be for you as it's not a traditional brownie it's extra gooey. However, absolutely love the flavor of it. It's a rich chocolate flavor with powdered sugar on top. As a dark chocolate lover this was pretty good!! Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips: 6/10 It's nothing too special, it was more on the dry side but still strong banana flavor! Overall experience: 9/10 Customer service wasn't the greatest while waiting for our sandwich we didn't really know we had to wait, where to wait, and when I changed my mind on a pastry someone gave me a face. However, the ambience of the restaurant and food made up for it. I loved sitting outside, an amazing way to sit down and have a chat.

The cake donut was described as a "premium" option, which surprised me because it felt pretty standard. The coconut topping was minimal, just a light sprinkle, and the frosting was unusually heavy and thick. It didn't taste like a typical glaze or bakery frosting--instead it reminded me of the dense, processed frosting you'd find on packaged snack cakes. I ended up peeling most of it off and wouldn't order it again. The sugar donut itself also didn't stand out. It had an odd aftertaste that reminded me slightly of cinnamon, though I'm not sure if that was from the oil or the dough. Overall it didn't taste very fresh, and I didn't enjoy it enough to finish. Overall, the pricing is reasonable for the area, but the quality didn't match expectations. I actually ended up throwing the sugar one away and eating the cake donut after peeling off the frosting. The shop itself feels more like a small diner counter than a dedicated donut shop, with a few donut options alongside a basic counter setup. I wouldn't return based on this visit.

Everything about it was wrong. The dryness of the bread, the apparent lack of butter, the use of powdered milk, the overly sugariness of the almond paste itself. The marina coffee shop used to carry an almond croissant from another bakery, which I was really looking forward to. So when I bit into this one, I was immensely disappointed. Taste is subjective so I can't say that it's terrible, but I really wanted to throw out the remainder of what I was eating.

When you look at all the possibilities, your eyes pop out and you start questioning why didn't you make it here at the start of your trip so you could have everything they make. So yes I went full chaos mode and bought 4 cinnamon rolls. Not cheap either. These weren't grab and go, these make you check your account balance before you buy type of rolls. They were large, fresh, and topped with fruit. I carefully placed them in the back seat like they were precious cargo I was transporting back to Los Angeles. I told myself, I see road trips to come back here JUST for these rolls. Then I took a bite. And listen...the disappointment didn't just set in, it moved in, unpacked, and changed its address. It was tasteless. Completely. The peaches on top with the syrup glaze looked like they had a personality, but they also tasted like absolutely nothing. I've had more emotional satisfaction from a grocery store fruit cocktail cup that comes with that tiny plastic spoon that bends immediately. And now I'm sitting here confused, because I saw the Yelp reviews. I saw the low stars. I IGNORED them. Why? Because the smell had me in a chokehold. The smell was doing marketing, branding, PR, and emotional manipulation all at once. So I'm perplexed. Truly. Where did that smell come from? Because it was not in the bite. Not even a suggestion of it. I want what I smelled. Honestly... I think they're just burning cinnamon roll-scented candles in there and calling it a bakery. That's the only logical explanation. Because not one bite I took matched the smell I followed in like a cartoon character floating through the air. I wasted calories trying to find the taste. And I'll say it for the record: I did not buy cinnamon rolls. I bought scented air with commitment issues.
