This spot is located right in the main downtown area of Monterey, which makes it an easy stop if you're already nearby. The cinnamon rolls were warm, which was nice, but they were unfortunately a bit dry. The frosting didn't really do much to improve them either. On top of that, the prices felt pretty high for what you get. That said, I did appreciate that they offer sugar-free options for their cinnamon rolls, which is not something you see often. Overall, would probably go somewhere else if I wanted something sweet.

Cinnamon rolls were pricey and not very good. Unfrosted cinnamon roll was plain, dough dry and not sticky. Frosted cinnamon rolls were smothered with frosting which helped hide the fact that they were also dry and rather plain. Cost $35 for the 4 pack but I got the unfrosted one for free. There were several other types of cinnamon rolls with peach, walnut and other toppings, but didn't feel they were worth the $10 price.

One strange thing about cannery row is no coffee spots open before 9. Well I wanted a cappuccino for wife and I before that while we were staying at The Clement. Anyways ordered 2 cappuccinos 1 with oat milk and none with the whole milk. They made mine with oat so I had to have them fix it. This is a long story so I'll shorten it. These cappuccino simply were not good. It was too much milk not enough espresso. Yeah, I should've ordered a cinnamon roll cause they look delicious. It's right off the street so easy to walk in and very open and welcoming. Staff was friendly.

Their cinnamon buns are vegan!! We asked for vegan frosting which is an additional cost. It was so special!! Soft, deliciously, and so yummy!

I love cinnamon rolls so I may be biased, but I feel like this spot is just a solid cinnamon roll place. Nothing to write home about, in a positive or negative light.

I paid nearly $10 for a cinnamon roll, expecting something warm, gooey, and fresh. Instead, what I got was dry and clearly not fresh out of the oven. I noticed they microwaved it in the back before bringing it out, which was already disappointing. What really stung was watching them bring out a batch of fresh rolls right after I ordered. Bad timing, I guess--but for the price, you'd hope they'd serve the best they have. For a bakery that's built its name on cinnamon rolls, this just wasn't it. Not worth the price, and sadly not worth a return trip.

Yummmm beside the aquarium- this place is The Best! Hee

This tiny hole in the wall spot has such delicious cinnamon rolls. It's a must see!! The handful of times I've been to Cannery Row. I always get a cinnamon roll or two here as well as want to take home!! Granted, the prices have gone up a bit. I know inflation sucks but goodness these are delicious, and I love their fresh toppings!! This particular spot seems to have expanded their desserts, and they also have a handful of other tasty sweets, which I was able to get a picture of, especially since it was around 3 PM in the afternoon!! We spent all morning at the aquarium, and as we walked through Cannery Row, we were able to find some more places to eat! I love foodie adventures!! The service was rather quick, considering. There was a line out the door, and we were 6 people in line ahead of us and then another lady got behind a register. She was able to ring us up rather quickly, but I really didn't mind waiting since their cinnamon rolls are definitely worth it!!

Very generic cinnamon rolls. They're heated up in a microwave and sweet. It's a good snack stop but expensive.

Place was expensive, cinnamon rolls were doughy and not soft and fluffy and way too sweet. It was definitely not fresh.

It didn't look like it died down which is awesome for this business. I believe I waited 20-30 minutes in line before I reached the display case. There were so many delicious things to choose from, it was a challenge to decide! I opted for a croissant sandwich, a blue corn cookie, and some sweet treats for the beach. I also ordered a seasonal latte, I believe it was cherry chocolate with oat milk less sweet. There's a nice outdoor seating area with many tables in chairs. Since the weather was nice we decided to stop and eat for a bit. The ambience was very nice and calm. The food was delicious and their house made pickles were fantastic. They were crisp, fresh, and complimented the turkey sandwich so well. The blue corn cookie was very interesting and reminiscent of a tortilla chip. I'd definitely come back here if I were in the area.

Charming bakery and cafe with plenty of outdoor seating in the back connecting garden…read more Nice flaky, buttery dough on their pastries. Latte was decent, not too bitter or acidic and it was creamy They try a lot of variations for pastries, both savory and sweet! The savory danish was really tasty and there was some pickled / citrus component that added more depth and made it super interesting to eat! The salmon croissant was alright, had a really nice flaky crust but the filling tasted kinda gamey , would've been nice to have another component to balance it out. Cookies were niceeeee the buckwheat choco cookie had nice amounts of sea salt and was like a brownie texture on the inside. Choco chip cookie was thin and crispy on the outside with chocolate blobs spread around, quite sweet though There was a line going out the door but only had to wait around 15 min!

The cherry croissant was perfectly buttery and flaky, with the acidity of the cherry adding just the right kick to this breakfast pastry. I was initially hesitant on getting the clam chowder at a bakery and was thinking of getting it at a seafood restaurant on Cannery Row, but the reviews were glowing and the price was reasonable. I'm glad I took a chance on it, because the bowl was chockful with clams, potatoes, celery, and a briny creamy seafood broth base. The ambiance in this bakery is great- there's a beautiful wall mural on the back wall of this bakery and lots of inside seating. Don't miss out on this spot!

Recent visit to Monterey, I went to have my fav but wow.. all the pastries were flat. They were not risen they all looked cheap, pretending to be french pastries... and chocolate cake and the rest did not look french at all. In good french bakery will never advertise $30 for 5 pastries. We ordered cappuccino and cafe a'laite . Worst ever. Bitter and tasted cheap cheap coffee. This is not french bakery/patisserie it was once. I doubt that it is under the same ownership. So very disappointing.

I will try to come earlier and see if they have it next time! I was in the mood for savory not having eaten breakfast yet so the quiche was calling me. This was my first time here and many people ahead of me in line were ordering them. Truthfully I'm not really a quiche person but this one looked divine. Maybe because instead of a slice of quiche it was my own little quiche. It was so savory, flavorful with the perfect balance of goat cheese and tomato! (I got the goat cheese & tomato flavor obv). They also heated it up for me! It was delicious and the crust so flaky. I also got an almond croissant because I love me some almond filling. This too was delicious! It was really cool to try their style of almond croissant which is a flatter style--flaky and moist and crisp. My hubby got the apricot pastry and it was also so good! I am ready to visit here again the next time I'm in Monterey! Hopefully I can snag a table outside this time because it's such a cute outdoor space to eat after getting your pastries.
