This was so yummy and a great date treat. The staff was so sweet! We had the sundae and added a coneit was so great to walk around the wharf and trying this homemade ice cream! I highly recommend it!

We got the churro ice cream & it was soo good. As 2 people we shared it & it was plenty so it's def good for sharing a sweet treat.

Came to Monterey for some exploring in Big Sur, stopped by for dinner and dessert. After dinner we stopped by and tried some locally made ice cream. My wife ordered the cookies n cream and I got a chocolate dipped waffle cone with cookies n cream and mint n chip. Now I have been to a lot of ice cream places in California and I was not a fan of the ice cream here, after a few bites we both threw them away. Service was fast and the line moved quickly. The area is on the pier so plenty of places to enjoy the ice cream if your taste buds like it. I would not recommend this place, sorry.

Line was long but moved pretty quickly. Prices were high likely fit to the area (touristy). Ice cream was just okay.

We ordered two scoops for more than $8 so I would say definitely on the expensive side given it's not really gelato. The price premium has to do with the location right on the Monterey pier. We had the banana cream and chocolate peanut butter. Both are pretty good. We noticed they melt a bit faster than average ice cream in a chilly afternoon (low 60s). Not sure if that's a sign of high water content in the ice cream? But overall the texture is thick and flavors on the spot, so maybe I was just nitpicking

Our group got scoops of birthday cake, rainbow sherbet, mint chip, peanut butter chocolate, & a cookies by the bay sundae. Also got a marshmallow topper. It was all good and enjoyable. The customer service was friendly. However, nothing stood out as particularly unique or especially tasty, considering the price. There's a small cow bench in front that's a fun photo op.

Waited in line to order during Memorial Day weekend. Their milkshake machine was down so I got cookies ans cream in a cup. It was pretty tasty. My boyfriend got the churros and I loved how they were warm and paired well with chocolate sauce. Might have added them to my cup of ice cream, hehe

Slow service, but good ice cream. They don't press the ice cream into the cone so be careful two people had to go back in line because they kicked the cone and the ice cream fell right off. Mini churro sundae was really good I recommend this one. Rainbow sherbet had lots of flavor.

We stopped for ice cream, but ended up ordering churro bites and a donut. The churro bites came with choice of chocolate or caramel sauce. Both items were made to order and the oil used to fry the sweet treats was very fresh. Service was awesome too! We will definitely be back!

Cookies and Cream & Pistachio Ice cream with chocolate dipped cones

To start the line moved incredibly fast! It was super nice, specially with the cold air. There was plenty of ways to read the menu before you got there to know what you wanted. The staff was super quick and nice, getting your choice of dessert out to you. The ice cream was the perfect consistency to be on a cone, wasn't too cold that you barely got anything when you ate it, and wasn't too warm to where it melted all over your hands. The flavors were immaculate too and definitely one of my new favorite stops for ice cream!

    Mint Chip with Oreo Topping

The mint chip ice cream is so creamy and minty I stopped by for a scoop two days in a row. The chocolate chips were small and a perfect amount. Each time I ordered with crumbled oreo because I enjoy texture, didn't exactly look the prettiest, but boy was it tasty!

Coffee ice cream (one scoop) in a cup (August 2022)

Nothing worse than eating icy "ice cream" with no flavor. I came here after dinner at Old Fisherman's Grotto to get ice cream for dessert. Big mistake since this place is just not good. I ordered one scoop of coffee ice cream and my fiancé ordered a scoop of chocolate peanut butter ice cream in a cup. They didn't have enough of his ice cream so they topped it off with some chocolate ice cream. It's nice that they weren't skimpy but that wasn't enough to take away from the icy factor that he also encountered with his ice cream. The coffee flavor was very faint and had little inclusions of I don't know what till this day but it just wasn't good or a memorable experience. Customer service was nice and friendly but slow with only one person working the line down on a Friday evening. I don't see myself coming back here for my ice cream needs.

Seal show before you get to creamery.

Thankfully it's a cute street with cute lights so it was a vibe. Sadly, they don't allow taste testing of flavors but they said that they would replace your order if you don't like what you ordered. Still, it would be nice to be able to test it, maybe limit it to 2-3 flavors per person? I really wouldn't want to get back in line. The flavors I got to try were quite good. The Bees knees is award winning, so we felt like we had to get that but it was very underwhelming. While in line they were playing a video showing how they made their ice cream from scratch, and there was this crunchy dessert they broke into smaller pieces and mixed in with this ice cream, but I could not taste it. Plus the honey was so subtle. It felt more like a vanilla ice cream for the majority of the time. It still is a nice clean light flavor, but it would have been nice to pull the honey flavor forward a bit more. We also tried the eucalyptus mint chip which also had a light crisp flavor, mint was not too overpowering and the eucalyptus scent hit your nose first before you finish with the cooling mint. Exactly as advertised. Good if you like this combo of scent and flavor. My mom got the cold brew coffee and wow was that really good. If you are a coffee lover, you will enjoy it. Not too bitter, very balanced. My sister, sister's husband and kids also got ice cream, but I can't recall which flavors. They seemed to really enjoy it so all in all, the whole family loved this ice cream night. Overall, very pleased with quality and service. Would come back and try again.

Unfortunately, you can't sample the ice cream, so you just have to trust that it's good.

It's a small shop, and since I wasn't sure yet if I wanted a pastry, I ordered a coffee first while my husband looked at the case. One of the women behind the counter told me, "Usually you order pastries first and then we get the coffee at the end." The way it was said immediately made me feel uncomfortable, like I was somehow doing something wrong. I apologized and explained we weren't from here and I wasn't even sure yet if I wanted anything else. Their tone changed after that and became much friendlier, which honestly made the interaction feel even more awkward. My husband ended up ordering pastries, including a chocolate croissant for me, and both the latte and croissant were good. Sometimes the experience matters just as much as the food. It's hard to fully enjoy a place when your first impression made you feel unwelcome. I truly wanted to love this spot because it came so highly recommended as she visited it daily, but I left feeling more embarrassed than excited to return.
