I had only a short time for lunch and was so hungry right at noontime. I saw that BagelCorner & Pastability's, which looks from the outside like a KFC, was open. Pulled right in to a parking spot. Came in and took a gander at the quite large menu. I was a bit overwhelmed at first but quickly figured out a meal that would suit my taste buds. The Leonardo, a side of minestrone soup and a lemonade combo. ($24.02 including tax, I gave a little extra for the tip). Pasta by the bowl, or a tray for the family, or an even larger tray for catering available. With many sides to accompany your meal. Then there are Bagel Corner Bistro items, make it a combo and add a drink and a side. You can also build your own sandwich from a large array of sandwich fillings. Also they have a nice selection of dessert if you have a bit of a sweet tooth after your meal. You order at the counter then the server, mine was Delaina, brings out the piping hot food with a smile and such nice hospitality. I am so glad that I popped in. I look forward to coming back and trying something new to me. Come check it out, I'm sure you will find something delicious to enjoy.

$25.12 Next Level Tri Tip Sandwich with fries and drink. Scratches the itch but I don't think it's worth the price. $18.57 Michelangelo. Sub par; I regret eating it.

First time visiting. Excellent customer service! Your recommendations were awesome . The food was absolutely delicious!! We will definitely come back when we're in town also, keep in mind the catering menu for our family events. Kat & Family

I've been going to their Salinas location since I was a kid and have always been obsessed with their Artichoke Bisque soup. So I was really excited to see they were opening a combined Bagel Corner + Pastability's location here in Marina. I stopped in for breakfast this morning and had a great experience. The staff was amazingly friendly and super knowledgeable. Just a heads-up: the drive-through isn't open yet, but they mentioned it should be up and running in the next couple of weeks, so for now you'll need to go inside to order. I built my own sandwich and it was delicious--though they did leave off one of the ingredients I added, which was a bit of a bummer. Still, everything tasted great, and I'm excited to come back soon for my beloved Artichoke Bisque. Overall, a solid addition to Marina and I'm looking forward to becoming a regular!

Quiet place at least at 1030 am. Service was quick. Need bagels for next morning at hotel. Large bagels at a reasonable price.

Inside of the building seems outdated even though it used to be KFC and they remodeled? The bagels weren't bad. Service wasn't the greatest.

They were kind enough to sneak a couple onto the grill for us, which was an amazing gesture. The hot dogs were absolutely delicious, served on a high-quality bun shipped directly from the East Coast (the same ones they use for their Philly cheesesteaks). It was a fantastic, flavorful surprise. As you can see from the photo, my wife thoroughly enjoyed diving right into that massive foot-long! The service was top-notch, the food was spectacular (such great quality and flavor), and they truly care about their customers. We will absolutely be returning and highly recommend this spot to anyone in the Seaside area! Thank so much, its really a pleasure to find a crew that love their trade !

3.5 STARS HELLO,…read moreMEAT SWEATS! Escaping the 4th of July warzone in The City, we headed to Carmel for a quiet staycation. The Carmel food scene tends to be mid and overpriced so I was in search of more affordable, local gems in Seaside and Marina areas. And...TikTok brought me to The Meatery, a boutique butcher shop and eatery. BUTCHER SHOP Array of ethically sourced meats - amazing looking marbled steaks, pork, veal, and handcrafted sausages (Mmm, blood sausage and fermented garlic sausage!). They also have house-made sauces and spice blends, condiments, compound butters, duck fat, and more. There's even fresh dog food (e.g. beef sirloin, brown rice, and blueberries) which I bought for my dogs. EATERY Made-to-order sandwiches and BBQ (brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc) in the hot case. House-made sides (potato salad, mac salad, and kimchi) are available in the cold case. Bottled drinks including beer available. You can order ahead online but we ordered in-person. Note: Check Toast for the most up-to-date prices; the online menu has the old prices. There's about 6 tables for dine-in. Self-serve water. Bus your own tables when finished. F O O D * 18 Hour Smoked Brisket Sandwich ($18): https://tinyurl.com/rceamucw - Requested mix of wet/moist and lean brisket A signature item, the brisket sandwich was sorely disappointing. While I enjoyed the fresh, soft bun, tangy cola-cola bbq sauce, and acidic pickled onions, the lean brisket was very dry and tough (at opening time). * Calamari Steak Po'Boy Sandwich ($18): https://tinyurl.com/yn7zsvz6 The unique coastal twist on a New Orleans classic sounded promising on paper. The sesame roll was light and fluffy, and the slaw had a delicious creamy tang. Unfortunately, the thin, fried calamari steak was dry and chewy, while the heavily salted breadcrumbs overwhelmed its delicate flavor. * Dino Beef Rib ($21.50/lb): https://tinyurl.com/j8dsxnvc Eyeing this on another table, we decided to order it after trying the sandwiches. Def the highlight of our meal - the beef rib was rich, tender, and deeply savory. Not overly fatty with a crispy bark. Light on the seasoning and smoke so the tangy BBQ sauce came through for a boost of flavor. * Wedge Fries ($8) Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the wedges were dusted with their house seasoning mix (savory w/ a touch of smoky flavor) and served with a side of their fermented chipotle ketchup. * Kimchi Cucumber ($7.50) A blend of napa cabbage and thinly sliced cucumbers, the kimchi was mild and tangy. The perfect acidic in-between bites. S E R V I C E Warm, friendly service. Food came out fast. Overall, maybe we visited on an off day for the eatery. I can see why The Meatery is a local fav for their butcher shop tho. I mean, if I lived nearby, I would be all over 'em sausages! P.S - 3.5 stars rounded up for a small business.

Well after my comical round of golf that day,I returned to the shop and I truly stumbled upon a true hidden gem of a sandwich shop. I went with a buddy and we ended up getting two types of sandwiches and we split them. We ordered the Hot Pastrami ($15.00) and the aforementioned Tri-Tip Sandwich($16.00) We also got a large potato salad they offered-not sure on pricing on that. So let's talk about the sandwiches. I really enjoyed the Pastrami quite a bit-it was for sure one of the best Pastramis I've ever tasted, not too fatty and perfectly seasoned. The Tri-Tip though-that was exactly what I thought it would be-true showstopper. You ever have a food item that was so good that it almost kinda pisses you off because you now know this level exists and most likely won't find it again like this?....Well that's what this item was-perfection Tri-Tip on a really well-made sandwich. Their potato salad was really high level as well, total creaminess with perfect balance of seasonings-I could never make mine this well. Their high level of food explained why when I arrived at the little market there were 7-8 people in line in front of us. Parking for this location is all street parking as this place is truly just a little neighborhood market located in a residential neighborhood-If you blinked when driving by,one could miss it. But that doesn't stop them from delivering very high quality food and a permanent stop on my must-visit list whenever I go back to the Monterey area...You should do the same-it's great.

We finally got the chance to check it out. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The Prunedale Market is located along side the highway 101 freeway in the small town of Prunedale. It just takes a few long right turns to get there. Parking is easy and accessible out in the front parking lot. From the front, the market does not look like a popular BBQ spot. It looks like a simple small market store to grab quick snacks and drinks. Once inside there is a BBQ and deli section to your right. A small dining area is to your left. The decor is old fashioned and quaint. The 2 gentlemen greet you with friendly hospitality. We ordered the Tri tip sandwich, half slab of ribs which includes 2 potatoes and a cup of corn chowder. The pit master/owner Martin, who use to work for Original Joe's, was kind enough to also include a quarter chicken leg, a sausage, and extra ribs. It was so much food for our party of 3. Everything was delicious and hearty. The Tri tip sandwich was scrumptious with the flaming Fritos adding a nice crunchy texture and kick with every bite. The ribs were juicy and smokey. Potatoes complemented very well with the rest of the meat and chicken. Corn chowder was so tasty and creamy. I did not know corn chowder was that good. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Prunedale Market. The staff were super nice and accommodating. They even offered for our son to grab some free ice cream to go. We politely declined. The prices were very reasonable. All that food fed us for the next 2 days. Lol. We hope to be back when we are in the area with other friends and family.

So, as you're driving down the I-5 and looking for a place to get delicious sandwiches, this is the perfect spot! We grabbed some for family we were visiting in Sacramento and stopped again on our way back home to stock up. We tried the Brisket and Ribeye sandwiches. The bread got soft fast, maybe a little too soft. They were both hot sandwiches so not sure if it was from a little too much bbq sauce, juices from the meat or how it's wrapped. The brisket and ribeye were tender and juicy. I liked the Ribeye a little more since it had mushrooms, bell peppers and onion. I would have liked the bread to be more toasty since we ate the sandwiches there. But, that's my preference; I love more texture in my food.
