Close up of the Rice and Refried Beans
    Marissa G.

I decided to get order and pick up Lupe Tortilla for dinner. I ordered online. When ordering online you provide a phone number. I got a phone call from the restaurant right before I left to pick up our food. He told me that they were working on a new batch of hot sauce that part of my order required so my order would be delayed by about 10 minutes. I was thankful for the phone call. I left 10 minutes later. When I drove up, I parked and walked in to the to-go pickup area. I told the person working there my name but she couldn't find my order and told me to wait. Another person walked up and asked my name and noticed that my order was right there. He double checked the receipt and added what was left out to complete my order and then handed me the bag with my meal. For a starter I ordered the Fajita Nachos con Pablano. They come with chicken, beans, cheese, and Pablano peppers. They also provide sour cream, pico de gallo, and jalapenos on the side. The nachos were good but very soggy chips. I couldn't even pick them up without them falling apart. I will say that the Pablano peppers were good and added flavor to the nachos. They were good despite being soggy. For my meal I ordered Green Enchiladas. They come with chicken, jack cheese, a green tomatillo sauce, pico de gallo and sour cream. I chose to order mine without the pico de gallo and without the sour cream. They still provided those items but on the side. My meal came with rice and refried beans. I combine the rice and beans for flavor. The enchiladas were okay. They were semi warm. I could tell when I opened up my container. The cheese wasn't very melted and the chicken inside was not cold but not hot either. They did fill the enchiladas with a lot of chicken and I appreciated that. The tomatillo sauce was my favorite part of the enchiladas. I also ordered a pint of Charro Beans. These beans are so good. They are full of flavor and very addicting. I ate them with the tortilla chips that were provided. The tortilla chips were good. They were thin and crispy with a little bit of salt. I also ordered a dozen flour tortillas. They are large and thin. They are very addicting. I ate one with my rice and beans. Despite the way that they look they are very filling when combined with your meal. Overall the online ordering process was easy, the service was very good, and the food was satisfying.

Located in West Lake, Lupe Tortilla offers a great location with plenty of seating. Despite its promising menu and convenient setting, the food experience has been consistently mediocre. I've been to this restaurant several times and it boasts a ton of great options, but the overall quality remains subpar. Today, I ordered from their brunch menu, which features amazing choices. I opted for the waffles with fruit, egg, and bacon. Unfortunately, the waffles were overcooked and too crispy. While the menu and location have a lot to offer and the food is still edible, it didn't meet the standards I'd hope for with Tex-Mex. The staff is so friendly here which makes it a nice place. They have potential but need to improve the quality of its dishes.

great place to go to over lunch, they have a great lunch special. the service is always great and every time i've been there its been pretty busy (which is a good sign). i usually get their enchiladas which are my favorite.

Lupe Tortilla, overpriced Tex-Mex for people who think mayonnaise is too spicy. The queso is, based on the color, texture, and taste, just Velveeta. The food portions are overpriced, stingy, and bland. In a town with 1,000 Tex-Mex places, there are 900 better to choose from, IMHO.

Omg this place was so damn good!!! Excuse my French! My waitress was so sweet and understanding of our difficult selves Not a single thing lacked flavor, it was so good! Clean and spacious and quick service.

This restaurant is amazing! My salad was one of the best I have ever had. Service, was top notch and they were also great with our kids! It's a lovely restaurant, with amazing people.

Great service but the food is so mediocre. Sat at the bar because it was so busy. Got the shrimp and avocado salad. You are really not missing much. The avocado was lacking and the shrimp was very bland. The sauce added nothing to the salad. The enchiladas were also pretty dry. Tried the bean and cheese nachos which were decent, but not worth a trip again.

We went to two different locations and it took them 40min for a drink. We came here and upon entering we were asked for our drink order. We came during cinco de mayo, but the service was amazing the whole time. Joel and Eddie helped us during our stay food and drinks are 10/10. My favorite spot, recommend!

We walked from the hotel and ended up eating here twice! I had the extra cheesy volcan tacos they were so good I could smell how they tasted when I walked in. The carve asada was a little salty but it didn't stop me from devouring them! If you come in down the alley like we did you'll walk through what looks to be a little bar area walk-through there and then follow the signs to find the tacos. There were some people walking in with small children as we were walking out and they looked confused walking into the bar and I showed them just keep going you'll find the tacos and then they laughed. Everyone inside was nice and very friendly they run a super efficient operation and it's very clean. Soon as someone gets up somebody cleans the table because somebody's already waiting for a table. The whole thing is like an assembly line you get in line you order you get in line you get your food you walk around the corner and you get a table. Keep it moving people! This is just an amazing taco place with some amazing people highly recommend if you are in the area to go for it. The second time we came back and got more tacos to go and had to pay for parking around the corner so I don't know that it's convenient unless you're walking because parking was really expensive over there I think we paid $20 for 15 minutes.

We weren't even fully through day #2 and were already sick of BBQ. He broke the seal first and suggested Mexican. I found Taqueria De Diez in my bookmarks, and dinner plans were set. This was one of those meals where I was walking out with a pep in my step because I got exactly what I needed. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla + two tacos: Campechana and adobada. I don't even know what my favorite thing was. They were all excellent. The only slight miss were the beans, which were kind of oddly watery. But everything else was perfect, including the jamaica agua fresca. I ended up returning the next night and ordered a carne asada burrito. I didn't love it quite as much, but this is still an easy 5-star review for me. Note: this is not the easiest place to find. You literally have to walk in between some big, orange road blockers (is that what you call them?), to enter an alley. You then walk into a small bar, and then from there, you enter the actual restaurant. It's like a taco speakeasy, and it's glorious.

I had only stopped by this Food Truck (area) to try Desnudo Coffee, and spotted this business. I had heard some good things about Veracruz, but I was planning lunch elsewhere. Well, that other spot was CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS! Seeing my situation, I saw it as opportunity to try the options at Veracruz --- including the famous from Food Network, migas taco. I ordered 4 tacos: the migas, migas poblano, shrimp macha (!!), and the Dona Reyna tacos. All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul. The steak taco had too much fat in it. If I was strictly bashing this review on the food. I'd give it a three. It's not worth the price. Now, the service seemed to be decent until I didn't put a tip on my takeout order. Things seemed to go south. When my name was called, I grabbed the small paper bag and paused. No guacamole. If I hadn't have looked, I could've walked a really long wasteful before noticing. Maybe long enough to not go back. The last behind the counter, said okay I'll get it. It felt like a chore. Well, that was because the woman also had not given me my tres leches, which was going to be for my wife.
