Vanhousing's estimator showed up on time, asked good questions, wasn't pushy, and seemed to legitimately care about understanding the scope and what we were looking to achieve. Their bid was competitive and I had a good deal of faith in their ability to provide a great experience given what I'd read in other reviews. Vlad and his team ended up having to work through a multitude of challenges in order to deliver the end result that we enjoyed. I received constant professional communication (day, night, weekend) when things weren't going well (outside of their control) and what they were doing to resolve. They thoroughly owned resolving each obstacle instead of pushing it back to me to work out. This involved buying different kinds of paint and performing tests -- I even got a video of the test results to illustrate my options. Its obvious that this company cares a great deal about providing 5 star experiences. Its that additional amount of work that they did which has me so enthusiastic about referring them to anyone needing painting done (commercial or residential.)

Honestly I can't believe I lived with it like that for as long as I did. Hiring Vasyl / Leo Painters for this was definitely the right move. I've worked with Vasyl and his team once before (on a full house interior paint job), so I already knew I was in good hands. They did a better job than I expected was even possible in this bathroom - that had clearly seen decades of terrible paint jobs, and damage from steam, etc. Vasyl informed me of the correct and quality kind of paint to use for this job (I just gave him the color), in addition to pointing out the existing issues (that I hadn't realized). They are professional in a variety of ways, and you can rest assured you're in good hands with Vasyl and his team. I'm just glad I had his number saved from the last job I hired him for. I was assuming it's normal for composite decking. Well it's not... I was able to pull off several boards by hand with barely any effort. I bought a box of proper screws to fix it. There was also a bunch of broken wood from the old stairs and enough screws to build another porch under there apparently. So I guess 5 stars for painting, 3 for the porch.

He never did. He billed $270 total for 20mins of his time. I had expressed my concerns that the job was not done and asked if i could get a discount. He refused.
