They always explained things that were going to be done and did things above and beyond what was expected (e.g., fixing dry soffit/fascia boards that were rotted and other things that I missed that needed to be repaired and painted). At the beginning, the scheduling start date got a little delayed but after Jeff explained why and his crew started work, I understood why - they pay great attention to detail. They made sure that we are happy. They cleaned up really well too. We did opt for the porta-potty since we were also having things done inside the house. Other work done but not listed - fence and patio railings repair & post lighting installation. All started smoothly and we're on schedule to get it done before the rainy season started (it was late in the summer when we purchased the deal). They came out to pressure wash the house and we figured that work would start soon after. Several weeks passed and we hadn't heard anything. When we inquired after it started raining, they replied that they had tried to contact us both. We looked through our personal email, text/call log and Angie's List email...nothing. Rain continued and Steve informed us that if it continued, they'd have to wait until Spring. A few more rainy weeks passed and we got the message that they wouldn't be able to do it. Since the work wasn't going to be done, we asked Steve and Angie's List for a refund. Fast forward to early 2015, we received a full refund from Angie's List and we were waiting for Intercolor for the remaining balance (we split payment on different cards). We were aware that we would have to pay for the pressure washing and when my wife talked to Steve, he said that it would be a few hundred dollars which seems to be in line with what the average cost it. When we finally received the check in the mail, they charged us $700! We reminded him that he quoted us a lower amount and he just said that's what it is. Since he doesn't have prices published on his website, there's not a lot we can do. We called several other painters and asked how much they charged for pressure washing and no one was above $300. Again, we can't comment on the work itself and it seems like his work is good based on the reviews and it's unfortunate that he couldn't be more upstanding with his business practice. I guess he figured that he would make money were he could since he lost the main project.

Which is the way to address contractors I am aware of other customers that he has not performed for and then instead of addressing it. - does like he has done here - see his responses and decide for yourself Look our situation is one of a number of data points. Vlad and his team ended up having to work through a multitude of challenges in order to deliver the end result that we enjoyed. I received constant professional communication (day, night, weekend) when things weren't going well (outside of their control) and what they were doing to resolve. They thoroughly owned resolving each obstacle instead of pushing it back to me to work out. This involved buying different kinds of paint and performing tests -- I even got a video of the test results to illustrate my options. Its obvious that this company cares a great deal about providing 5 star experiences.
