Their bid was competitive and I had a good deal of faith in their ability to provide a great experience given what I'd read in other reviews. Vlad and his team ended up having to work through a multitude of challenges in order to deliver the end result that we enjoyed. I received constant professional communication (day, night, weekend) when things weren't going well (outside of their control) and what they were doing to resolve. They thoroughly owned resolving each obstacle instead of pushing it back to me to work out. This involved buying different kinds of paint and performing tests -- I even got a video of the test results to illustrate my options. Its obvious that this company cares a great deal about providing 5 star experiences. Its that additional amount of work that they did which has me so enthusiastic about referring them to anyone needing painting done (commercial or residential.)

They were easy to communicate with, sent updates at the end of each day sometimes with photos/videos, and they were able to finish almost a full day ahead of schedule. They hung our doors back up with new hardware which we decided to add last minute. During the final walkthrough they fixed everything that needed touching up and left our place as clean as can be expected. There was overspray on one wall that we didn't have the paint for and they came back within a week of the project concluding to paint it for us and make it right. I found Darryl after another company we were working with kept pushing back their start date and eventually stopped responding to us altogether. From our first conversation, Darryl provided exceptional service, instantly recognizing we are in a time crunch and needing to start asap, which he accommodated. We met the next day and discussed colors/trim etc and he advised me against one or two of my ideas and explained why- it wouldn't hold up/age well. I agreed and changed plan slightly and appreciate his advice that not everyone would take the time to give. His work was quick and very thorough. He took his time to make sure the finish was flawless and made decisions that were entirely inconvenient for him that would ensure the best finish possible for us (for example he arrived and prepped/taped/put up plastic sheeting in preparation to paint our exterior doors but decided to pause the job due to high winds kicking up dust- he wanted to wait until the winds died down and came back that evening to finish the job). His professional advice about paint type/brands/finishes was very helpful and I knew he was clearly experienced and felt confident and happy to follow his advice. These people sent day laborers to my house with no supervision or experience and they ruined my…read morehouse. They have been paid for services that didn't complete and have caused significant damage to my home. They use bondo on the doors and then didn't sand them down so the paint is splotchy, raised and uneven. They didn't blow dust off the MDF surfaces and then painted on them causing roughness and distortion. BRILLIANTLY, set a paint can down on the MDF and left a ring because the paint wasn't dry. We had a crew onsite drinking on the job, leaving behind empty beer bottles. They stained corbels on my home and did such a poor job, that the roof has stain drips all over it. They were contracted to sand and stain posts and beams and didn't sand them after they were paid for it, and then misapplied the stain causing streaks, discoloration and missed surfaces. They didn't even stain one whole side of one of the beams. They planned on painting the exterior and weren't going to wash the house the first! It was an active job site for 2 years, covered with dust, mud, spider webs, and they were just going paint stain right on top of it. They cut a lot of corners, they are dishonest, perform shoddy poor work, recruit crews that are not qualified. We are having to redo all this work. Our builder hired these people, but my warning to you now is, don't work with them. Really really awful company. The didn't paint the top of the doors, interior jams and missed some doors entirely. Just such poor quality.

This is our second new home and our previous one we never had any issues with coverage but on this one you can tell they missed exposed trim on the exterior which is REALLY BAD for the exterior especially in this area with so much rain. They only painted 1 coat on the interior; there are SO many areas where you can see the texture because the paint is so thin and this is after we already marked a bunch of spots they missed in our initial walk through. So, brand new home and now we get to spend more $$$ on painting because Claffey's isn't capable of doing a proper job.
