The quality of his workmanship wasn't so much the issue- but his attention to detail during the templating process. We chose two granite slabs for a large project which involved a 9 foot island and smaller project for another home. One of the slabs had a river of quartz running through the middle and was templated to be the center focal point of the island. When installation day came, we were surprised to find that the island had no quartz running through the center. We couldn't figure out what went wrong. When the second granite countertop was delivered to our daughter's home for install- there it was. The quartz was placed in front of the kitchen sink. This mistake really showed a lack of caring for customer wishes and a template appointment that was a waste of time. Pretty disappointing. Seams weren't that inconspicuous- I've since had other stone projects with smaller seams.

Instead of answering those questions, Tom responded in a dismissive and unprofessional way, asking whether I had read the estimate or looked at their website, and saying I could call him if I was "serious about doing business" with them. As a customer, I believe it is completely normal to ask detailed questions before hiring a contractor, especially for a home project involving cost, materials, and installation details. The lack of clear answers and the tone of the response made me lose confidence in moving forward with this company. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company if you expect clear communication and respectful customer service.

Wise Choice uses a platform for selecting materials and so forth that was great in theory, rather questionable in practice, and our wires got crossed more than a few times. The time issue was simply that the projects took a bit longer than we'd planned. The time problem though was at least partly our fault (changing our minds about design, etc), and that was compounded by suppliers actually sending the wrong product on occasion, so certainly not all a Wise Choice issue. Other than that, they were great to work with, very pleasant people all around, very conscientious (cleaning up work spaces thoroughly every day), and the entire project came in under budget! We will definitely reach out to them again for our next remodel.

We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. We love the results, and several people have commented that the addition looks like it should have been there all along. We can't recommend Wise Choice highly enough!

We have hired Chad a few times to do work in our home. Recently, he told us the work would be 4-5…read morehours and the cost would be $350.00 for this work. He came and did the work in one hour, did not reduce his fee and did a sloppy job. The caulking separated around the bath tub, not once but twice and the last time his bill exceeded over $2000.00. Then his caulking on the vanity tile cracked after he applied some while paint. We I called him, he yelled and me, raised his voice, and was very disrespectful. He refund to redo the calking, we have to hire someone else. He did come back to fix the vanity and did it in 5 minutes and was out the door. His appearance is as bad as his attitude. I asked him if it was important to have a happy customer and that is what made him come back. He does sloppy work, does not care and is a bully. He complained to us about finding good employees and said he did the work himself but his work is terrible. We would never recommend him for any work where quality and dedication to perfection is a requirement. You can tell when you talk with him what you are dealing with. We overlooked it until he refused to do a good job for his he was paid $350.00 per hour. Now, some of the work needs to be redone. Oh, and he asked to be paid in cash. We agreed but I would never do that again because your only resource for collection back is small claims court. His work is so bad, his prices are so high, he is always available. Avoid this man and this company at all cost. He is a one man show.

I was…read morelooking to have my master bath redone - new tub, tile on the wall behind the tub, expanded shower and tile and replacing the carpet (!) with heated tile floors. I am very happy with the quality of work and the finished product. Skyler was the project manager and Tony was the construction manager. They were very organized, the project started on time and ended on time. Every day, the workers were at my house no later than 8:30 and usually by 8:00. Skyler or Tony stopped by most days to check on the progress. All the workers wore masks, they cleaned up after themselves, they were polite and all did a fantastic job. I wish I could find a 'before' picture but here's one 'after' picture. The shower enclosure is still being fabricated. Also, if you have a chance to have heated tile floors, DO IT!! It is so worth the money.

We had a really good experience communicating with the people at Sound Construction and working with Skyler (our project manager). Skyler was nice and personable and always quick to respond to our concerns. However, we had a lot of issues with the work done by the tile setting (our tile setters were Ihor & Milad). There were a number of things that they did wrong or poorly that we had to ask them to address. When possible, they were responsive to our concerns and spent a lot of time addressing things they did wrong. But, we were frustrated we had to spend so much time overseeing their work when really they should have done it right in the first place. There were many times it felt like we knew more about how tiling should be done, even though we're just humble DIYers and they're professional tilers. Also, the BIGGEST issue we have is that they applied the shower tile by spot-bonding. Once the tiles were set this way, it's obviously not possible to reset. Sound Construction responded to these concerns by offering to extend the warranty to 3 years, but we are still concerned about the longevity of the installation. In the end, we like how the tile looks but aren't very happy with how the installation was done or all the challenges in the installation process.

Highly recommend European Restoration to anyone who is thinking about renovation their home, water…read moredamage or not! My kitchen suffered a dishwasher leak end of last summer with extensive water damage to the hardwood floor in the kitchen. Slav came in the next morning after I requested quote via Yelp. His professionalism and ability to explain what needs to be done, how they are going to do it made me decide to go with the company among a few whom came through the requests. I ended up needing to gut the kitchen due to the water damage, and I have been very impressed with Slav's responsiveness and his knowledge on the subject matter along the way. The best part is this is not my first kitchen renovation (previous one done decades ago in different city,) but Slav made the entire process rather smooth, it required me almost minimum efforts on only picking out the cabinets/color, counter top, tiles, some hardware for the cabinets/kitchen. The project was done on-time, his crew showed up when they said they would, and finished as what's been estimated/expected. I would not think twice next time if I have another renovation need!
