Corned Beef Sandwich (not that great)
Zach G.

It's not great, compared to other businesses in the area they are lucky they are still there. I do understand they have been there for a very long time. So respect and big ups! I never wanna see a small business go under, EVER! It just wasn't good, average AT BEST. Reminded me of a floppy sandwich I could get by getting some packaged lunch meat and packaged bread from the grocery store. Nothing special. Average basic sauce possibly big name bottle. I expected better. Used to taste better. Small front entrance can barely fit 6 people. Absolutely no parking. Pricey for what you get. I want better for this place, but personally I will not be back. Too many awesome other options in the area, for example: Uncle Harry's Deli, that spot is LEGIT!!! Do better Lunch Box Deli, please. Much Love, -Zach

The Godfather. Love the wrapping!

We enjoyed Lunch Box Deli for lunch. There is no in-dining option right now, but you can order on their app and pick up right at the front door. Very easy! These sandwiches have clever names and taste very fresh and homemade. We always love a warmed up sandwich too.

Cobb Salad delicious!

I'm not usually a Chick-fil-A guy -- it's a little pricier than the competitors, so I don't stop by…read moreoften. But with this brand-new location opening in our area (along with all the buzz, protests, and controversy that came with it), I figured it deserved a fair try. I opted for the drive-thru on a very chilly morning. They offer both walk-up and drive-thru, but the cold made the choice easy. The team members taking orders outside were clearly new and still finding their footing, and I genuinely appreciated how hard they were trying. The young man who took my order had a trainer nearby, and you could tell he was a bit nervous -- but he was doing his best. Same for the young woman who handed me my food on the pickup side. I tip my hat both of them. And the food? Excellent. Whatever else people may say about the brand, Chick-fil-A has always prided itself on quality -- and it shows. Everything was fresh, hot, and prepared just right. I may not stop in often because of the higher price point, but I get it. Quality costs more, and you can taste the difference. But the biggest shout-out goes to the back-of-house crew. It must have been right at that crossover between breakfast winding down and lunch gearing up -- which, in any fast-food place, is its own special kind of stress. And in a brand-new store during opening week? Multiply that pressure by ten. I worked in fast food back in my college days, so I have a pretty good sense of what's happening behind that swinging door: the constant rush, the tight choreography, the pressure to keep every station moving while also learning new systems on the fly. Those back-of-house workers are doing some of the most important jobs in the building, and yet they're often the ones who get the least recognition. While the front-of-house team interacts with customers, the kitchen crew is back there hustling -- cooking food properly, assembling orders, keeping the place clean, restocking, troubleshooting equipment, and shifting between meal services. It's demanding work on the best day, and even harder when everything is still new. We don't see those folks, but they're the heartbeat of the operation. Without them, nothing works. And speaking as someone who has family working in the industry, I sincerely hope management recognizes how hard their back-of-house crew is working during these early weeks. A little patience and well-earned appreciation can make all the difference -- especially for the team members carrying the heaviest load. So to the team behind the scenes -- thank you. My hat goes off to you. And yes, I'll definitely be back.

The service is good, I can tell they're still getting used to things. My issue is the taste of the food compared to what I'm used to. Every time something was forgotten from the order, even something as simple as straws it was frustrating after driving away. The fries always seem to be room temperature like they've been sitting. The last time I even had a completely undercooked one. The nuggets taste good. Everything is clean and nice. I'm hoping this isn't how it's going to be at this location.

There is no where in St Clair shores area to find a deli. Thank goodness was for Uncle Harry's! It…read moreis the real deal. Kim was our server and she was over the top great! They have Dr Browns soft drinks and all the flavors! The matzoball soup is amazing def 9 out of 10. The sandwiches are top notch. The meat is super fresh and the rye bread is fresh and perfect. And you can get them to grill whatever you order right in front of you. To top it all of the atmosphere is an experience. Like walking into a NY deli in the 70s. I highly recommend to anyone in the area. And worth the trip if you are not from the area.

Lackluster and underwhelming…read more The wife and I split a Reuben and no drinks. Walked out the door 20 bucks poorer and feeling treated as refugees. Some old crud was hogging up a 6 top while we had to sit cramped at a tiny two top next to him, while he casually enjoyed his sandwich which took as long as we were there to finish and he had a 15 minute head start on us. This was at lunch rush on a Friday. The place was busy. Service was awful. Our water, straws and plates were basically thrown at us and as my wife noticed, everyone else in the joint got the same treatment. The server was uncaring and borderline rude. Never got a check, had to walk up and pay. Waitress just threw a number at us. Ok, whatever. This was not our first time at Harry's and in all honesty, not the worst experience but in our world, consistancey makes a good restaraunt. If I am expected to pay top dollar for a corned beef sandwich, I want a damn good corned beef sandwich. Hard to tell if we got one because the meat was all balled up in the center of the sandwich. This offered a "stacked" appearance when the sandwich was cut in half but 50% of the actual bites were sauerkraut, cheese and bread. "Where's the beef?". Look at all the photos of sandwiches at this place, stacked high but appearances are deceiving. Only the center of the sandwich is stacked. Kind of dishonest if you ask me. Half pound my ass. Everything here is very pricey. French fries $5.99, Hamburger $8.30, Hot roast beef $19.95 and so on. Want your sandwich toasted? Add about $1.50 to the price. Onion roll you ask? mo money. The food isn't bad if you like underwhelming portions at overwhelming prices, cramped seating and rude waitresses. Other than that, it's great. In this world of ever increasing costs and crazy stupid food pricing at restaurants, I would at least expect the absolute best quality both of the food and service. No excuse whatsoever for less. We've worked very hard for our money and we expect our food establishments to respect that. If not, we'll see yah down the road, NOT!
