This was not our first time at Harry's and in all honesty, not the worst experience but in our world, consistancey makes a good restaraunt. If I am expected to pay top dollar for a corned beef sandwich, I want a damn good corned beef sandwich. Hard to tell if we got one because the meat was all balled up in the center of the sandwich. This offered a "stacked" appearance when the sandwich was cut in half but 50% of the actual bites were sauerkraut, cheese and bread. "Where's the beef?". Look at all the photos of sandwiches at this place, stacked high but appearances are deceiving. Only the center of the sandwich is stacked. Kind of dishonest if you ask me. Half pound my ass. Everything here is very pricey. French fries $5.99, Hamburger $8.30, Hot roast beef $19.95 and so on. Want your sandwich toasted? Add about $1.50 to the price. Onion roll you ask? mo money. The food isn't bad if you like underwhelming portions at overwhelming prices, cramped seating and rude waitresses. Other than that, it's great. In this world of ever increasing costs and crazy stupid food pricing at restaurants, I would at least expect the absolute best quality both of the food and service. No excuse whatsoever for less. We've worked very hard for our money and we expect our food establishments to respect that. If not, we'll see yah down the road, NOT!

We brought our three young kids and ordered them each a kids meal: chicken tenders with fries, spaghetti, and a cheeseburger with fries. The portions were generous and we even had leftovers, but at $10 per kids meal, the pricing felt pretty steep. We started with the bread basket and pickles, which were both good. My husband ordered the Monterey Jack chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. He first tried the chicken noodle soup but thought it had a sour aftertaste, so he switched to the beef barley, which unfortunately wasn't much better. His chicken entrée had good flavor, but it was just one thin, butterflied chicken breast. I ordered the New Yorker with fries, which I enjoyed--it was solid and satisfying. When the bill came to around $80, it just didn't feel justified for a deli/diner-style meal. Overall, the food was okay, but the pricing felt high for what you get--especially for a family outing. I might stop in again solo for a sandwich, but we likely won't be bringing the whole family back, mainly due to the cost of the kids meals.

Lunchbox Deli offers something for everyone. Upon entering the small eatery, you are greeted with two tables and chairs and a bar that extends along the left wall with stools for additional seating. I've been coming here a long time, but with the influence of Brian Caputo this establishment has gotten more consistent and creative with their endless list of sandwiches. Today I'm having the Southern BBQ which is better than most of these BBQ joints that specialize in pulled pork.
