This is a beautiful restaurant located Windsor that always feels fun when I'm there. I reviewed it a few months back when it was a Tiki Bar pop up. This time, I had dinner with family and friends downstairs. The walls are adorned with Mexican wrestling posters and the tables circle around a huge bar backed by an impressive wall of tequilas and mezcals. Even the front entrance showcases Mexican distillates. The drink menu is creative, with lots of fresh fruit and thoughtful specialties, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They also offer a vast selection of tequilas and mezcals sourced by the owners. I especially appreciated that the mezcals are served in traditional gourd cups, a jicara. The food menu is like a upscale taco shop, with innovative appetizers and tacos rather than the usual predictable options, like enchiladas in red sauce. I really like the California burrito and the Nashville taco, but all of the food was enjoyed. They also have a great selection of salsas. read more

It was our first time trying Luna's and it was an awful experience! We were sat down and waited for at least 10 minutes for a server to come to our table. She gave us water and after another 12 minutes didn't return to take our order. I had to go to the bar and ask for our server, as I was speaking to the young man, our server was sitting a few feet behind the bar eating! A few minutes later another server came and took our order. It was not busy at all... We went on a Wednesday at 2:30 in the afternoon. My husband ordered the California burrito and it was surprisingly good. The spicy margarita was excellent. Layla was a very friendly waitress as was the whole staff. By far our favorite place to hang out! The bar staff is incredibly fun, friendly and work hard to maintain great service even when busy. Carson, Claire, Jacob and Amelia always make sure to knock service out of the park and are very well versed in the Tequila selection. Food is always fresh and delicious. We just left Luna's. First time and most likely the last. Price value isn't worth it. I could go buy all the fixings and make better and have a lot left over. The bartender (blonde and tattooed arms) made it clear she was annoyed that she had to come seat us. The Manager really needs to have a sit down with her about her representation of the business. She alone and her poor service iced why we won't be returning. However... the Hispanic gal that did serve us, she had a great demeanor, smiled and was attentive. Came here with a colleague for lunch and had a quick and friendly time. It's Wednesday and they offer birria tacos that day so... of course I get those. You get FOUR which is plenty with all the fixings of cilantro and pickled onion on the side. The cheese on the outside of the tacos is crispy and delish. Our service was so friendly and fast. I visited on 5/22/25 and tried the asada taco and the walking taco. The walking taco was tasty, though it could've used more meat. The asada taco was a bit disappointing -- the meat was slightly overcooked and not very flavorful. Service was okay but could have been more attentive. We had a twenty minute wait from the start. We then got sat and waited atleast 20mins for someone to even bring us water let alone menus took another 10mins to arrive to the table. I drank a clear intentions cocktail and it tasted like tobacco and leather. Not a favorite. The margs are very strong as well fair warning. The queso is chunky and resembles clam chowder. Overall very cool atmosphere but personally didn't enjoy the drinks or food very much. The elotes was the one thing I did enjoy and the tacos! We also didn't have the best customer service. We had four different waiters and none of them seemed very happy to be there. We were in on a Tuesday night so I get it it's busy for taco Tuesday. I really want to like this place, so we've gone a few times now. The 2nd time I made a reservation, walked in and was told they were getting our table ready. 45 minutes later they told us they didn't have a table for us and it was going to be another 45 minutes. A few weeks ago some friends of mine went and said they had both got sick and were throwing up later that night. We went about a week later and the same thing happened to us. This is one of daughter's favorite taco joints! They have house beers, the food is made to order and the salsa trio appetizer has a great variety for the whole family! The tacos are well made, we prefer flour tortillas, but you can get them in corn as well. When the weather is warm the upstairs patio has beautiful views! The building looks very nice and inviting, but the food is not worth the price. No one in our party found their meal to be "good". It was subpar. Also, a huge red flag tonight about this place was their inability to serve customers with allergies!!! We voiced a celiac allergy in our party and got mixed answers and how an allergen friendly meal was going to go. What we received as gluten free did not match what the waiter told us, and he actually told us not to eat it because he wasn't sure. Our celiac person decided not to eat with us the rest of the night due to feeling unsure about the food and communication. This is sad!!! Lunas has good potential, but it is heavily lacking. I told the waitress I have a shellfish allergy and was Very cautious to ask about what might have cross contamination. I ordered the street tacos but had a reaction so the kitchen did not change gloves or use precautions as I had a reaction where I felt my throat closing and had to immediately down Benadryl and still got very sick that night. The restaurant is cute but that's about it. We were seated with no menus, waited for 20 minutes for a server, our kids both received the wrong order, and waited a long time for the adult's food. When it finally came, it was just meh. We ordered the shrimp salad and it tasted very not fresh. We also ordered tacos but they were also just okay. We'd definitely not pay $6 for the chips and salsa again. We've both decided this will not be a place we'd return for a long while in hopes they work out some of their issues. Tacos had about 2 teaspoons of meat, we decided we didn't want to fill up on corn tortillas and have to eat 6 of them each to curb our hunger. Way over priced. Our margs were ok. We had really high hopes for this place because we live really close and we were hoping we'd have a place for date night but it was super disappointing. The people that work there are friendly. My husband and I sat at the bar and I ordered a michelada and he ordered a Paloma and a tequila flight. The michelada tasted more like a Bloody Mary than an actual michelada and I'm Mexican so I definitely know what a good michelada tastes like. The Paloma was okay it was pretty bitter it needed something more. The tequila flight was terrible, the presentation was nice but it was nothing but 3 shots of the cheapest tequila ever. $10 house margarita contains about 2.5 ounces of actual margarita with the rest being crushed ice. Quesadilla had a tiny little dollop of filling. The outer 1.5 inches of the quesadilla were empty and dry/brittle. Service was extremely slow, although the server was nice. Very noisy, especially with kids playing the pinball machines. Wanted to check out the new Mexican restaurant in town. We usually go to Los Chingones, but thought we'd try something new. Cool ambiance, but the food was disappointing. Tacos had no flavor. The kitchen kept bringing food out and asking if we ordered it and our meal was brought to someone else. The bartender was great and comped us our drinks for the wait. We won't go back. I'd much rather have Torchy's, Mas Fuegos or Los Chingones. Drinks weren't strong at all. Couldn't taste the alcohol. Huge bar area, but need to have more than one bartender taking drink orders. We've been fans of Luna's in Greeley for years, and are pumped they are here in Windsor now. We've been there now around 10 times since it opened and have enjoyed every visit. This isn't Taco Bell, so people looking for a cheese quesadilla should just go to Fuzzy's or some other low-brow situation. Luna's is great spot for high-quality and innovative Mexican food, specializing in awesome street tacos. The General Tso's taco and the quesabarilla are some of our favorites. The chips and salsa has three different salsas to enjoy. Our kids love the Cali burrito, and the margs of various flavors of margs are interesting and super tasty. The deck is awesome as well. Another group got sat before us that came after us and when we asked about it the hostess was rude and dismissive and stated "they called ahead" and walked off. I went here for my first meal with real teeth-no braces. I was beyond disappointed. Why was the food cold? Why did it have no taste?
