My recent carry out experience at Roma Windsor left me thoroughly impressed and eager to share the joy of Italian cuisine and customer service done right. I order from Roma quite often, probably 2-3 times a month but have never taken the time to write a review . From my online order to pick up, it usually goes off without a hitch. This past time there was a mix up and I received someone else's order. I phoned the restaurant and the person I spoke to was very apologetic and quickly offered to remake the order or give me a credit. Accidents happen and they did everything they could to make it right. This is the first time in probably 30-40 orders. Kudos! It was clear that they take great pride in their craft. We usually order caroli's, pizza and occasionally lasagna. You can count on the food being fresh and great tasting. The food is made when ordered and is ready when they promise. My next door neighbor invited my wife and I for dinner at Roma Windsor. We have never been to Roma restaurant and we are excited to check it out for the first time. We arrived at 6pm and the restaurant was not crowded at all. As soon as the 3 of us walked in, we were greeted by a young lady hostess with a big smile. She welcomed us in. As she was walking us to our table, I was checking out the ambiance of the restaurant. I noticed that the restaurant is pretty old looking. The ceiling still has the popcorn ceiling design. But, the rest has an Italian accent vibe to it. I checked right away if the dining area was clean. It sure was very clean. Our waitress was very friendly and professional. We told her that my wife and I first time eating here. She was going over their menu since it was our first time. That's very nice of her. We told her that my wife has Gluten allergies and asked if they have any gluten free options. Unfortunately, they only have one option which is their medium size pizza. My wife ordered the GF medium size pizza with Canadian bacon topping. I ordered their Tuesday dinner special, which is the full size spaghetti with spicy Italian sausage and toasted garlic bread. My neighbor ordered the Ravioli and spaghetti combination. Around 25-30 min later, we finally got our food. Everything came out hot and fresh. Our waitress was attentive. She checked on us a couple of times to make sure everything is OK. Now, let's talk about the food. Unfortunately, my wife didn't enjoy her GF pizza. The GF pizza crust was very hard and the pizza sauce was bland. My wife asked me to try her GF pizza and she was right. The crust was hard and the pizza tasted very bland. And this GF medium size with one topping cost $18.25. Overpriced!!! Also, my wife felt sick when we got home. Probably due to cross contamination. It appears that this restaurant has one GF option, but does not know how to prepare the GF food and avoid cross contamination. BEWARE!! Now, my spaghetti with spicy Italian sausage dinner. Tuesday night, the full size spaghetti with a choice of meat and 2 toasted garlic bread is only $10.00. What a great deal!! As far as the taste, unfortunately, it was too bland for me. The spaghetti sauce is definitely not homemade, it's definitely a canned spaghetti sauce. The Italian sausage is supposed to be spicy, but there's no kick to it at all. It was also bland. The sausage was boiled in water, instead of flame broiled or cooked in a flat skillet to give it some charred flavor. Very disappointing. With that being said, we won't be coming back at Roma restaurant. My wife can't try anything else, except their GF pizza options which she didn't enjoy and got sick from cross contamination. read more

It wasn't the best pizza and it wasn't the worst pizza. It was a little under cooked in the middle and the cheese and other toppings didn't stay on at all. So it was sort of just one big cheesy dough mess. It's a super casual spot, easy to get carry out from. People working were nice and had the order ready on time. read more

I love Romas! Went there on 9/12/25. (Now I have been to all their locations). But haven't eaten at a Romas in many years. I wish I lived closer. Got there right when we opened and there was only 1 cook and 1 server/bartender. She was great! Very attentive with everything. We ordered a Large TRex and a Mama Mia Caroli. So much flavor and so good. My kids loved watching the open kitchen. Everything was great! Will definitely be back sooner than later. read more

We tried this pizza place twice. We thought maybe the first time we just had a bad order but nope. The pizza is extremely greasy and way under cooked. The crust was so soggy you could not get a piece of pizza to stay together long enough to put it on a plate. So disappointed. Had to take it home and put it in the oven to finish cooking it. The sauce tasted like canned tomato sauce... no flavor or seasoning at all. I know I can't expect great food in Colorado... everything is watered down to accommodate the Pale Ones and their pale palates. But come on! Put some salt and oregano in the vat after you open the can, at the very least! read more

If I could give zero stars I would, we were a larger party but THE ONLY TABLE. 4 of our group ordered spaghetti, and 1 Italian trio they were all cold and not just sat a little to get brought out but ice cold and the ravioli in the Trio was partially frozen. 1 Cesar salad with mostly bad lettuce covered in courtons to hide the bad bits. We were understanding but when the cold spaghetti was brought up the waitress she was extremely rude. Never apologized for the food having issues, ignored requests for refills. Friendly guys making the pies, and the pizza crust was made perfectly. We came on a Monday night around 7pm and there were only two other tables there. We ordered a mushroom pizza, bbq sauce chicken pizza, and a carroli. The crust was a really nice combo of crispy but chewy. The red sauce was thinner and a bit bland, lacking the typical seasonings of the pizza places we frequent. Also, we found out while there that Monday is 40% off for pizzas which was a really nice surprise. :) Large pizzas run approximately $25 and their ginormous calzone version, the carroli is around $18 for four toppings. Everyone in our party liked their food and I would come back...It just wouldn't be my go to pizza place. PS-The parking lot is pothole city so be careful when driving thru here. read more

Quick lunch with my bestie today, both of us never been to this place, and we would like to check it out. Friday lunch at noon, surprisingly was mellow. Maybe we beat the crowd? Not sure when we came in the hostess have us seated. Service was quick and efficient. We ordered a deluxe pizza. It was one of the most bland pizza I have ever tasted. Red sauce was thin and flavorless, cheese was chalky, veggies and meat were fresh. Great food, food service, and no issues with wait time or speed of any service. My favorite dish is the spaghetti and meatballs with maranera sauce. Bread that comes with the meal is good just simple toasted plan sliced bread. Did a carry out and food was hot and all correct to my order and they also can provide a soft drink if you order one with your meal to go which I did and I found it equally divided between liquid and ice. All in all, a good meal. Wish we had a Roma's in Fort Collins as it's as great as the out of business Caninos was back in the day before the owners retired and sold their building to a bakery shop. This pizza and Italian food place is always extremely consistent and by far my favorite pizza place in Windsor Colorado always amazed by the fantastic service and pizza and salads and Italian food. Can't say enough about it probably the only place I go though in Windsor anymore. read more

We really wanted to enjoy our meal but it didn't live up to the Greeley Romas. Too much cheese but not enough of the other ingredients. Maybe if it came out hotter the cheese at least would be more melted. I didn't even take a photo because it wasn't at all attractive. Tried this place out with the family. It is tucked away in a strip mall off of the main street through town. Place was a little busy which is usually a good thing. We were seated quickly and the staff was fairly nice although a bit hurried which I suspect may have staff shortage like many restaurants lately. A decent number of options but we tried the following for our dinner. Family salad - this was just ok but would have been better with some more of the toppings and aox of lettuce instead of straight iceberg. We did like the dressing came on the side to allow you to dress your own. Meatball sliders - the meatballs were a good size but for our tastes there needed to be a bit more seasoning in the meatballs and the accompanying sauce. Cheese ravioli - the raviolis we're a good size with a good amount of filling but the sauce needed a bit more seasoning and can't say I've had ravioli with spaghetti as was done here. The accompanying bread could have done with some garlic. Hot house pizza - the crust was nicely done (crispy and not soggy) and definitely a good amount of toppings but it was lacking the heat we expected from its name and some of the toppings. Wouldn't eat here unless you want food poisoning. If the health department saw this place they would be shut down. The gentleman preparing our food grabbed noodles and cheese with bare hands to put in the to go container. They don't wear hats or have their hair pulled back. I am not one to complain but dang!! Walked in the restaurant to get 2 pasta meals and salad. There was food all over the kitchen floor. Every body was handling food with dirty cloths and no gloves. Employees were pretty careless and unaware of where they were and forgot we even placed an order. Wow! In Windsor for a conference and picked this place on a whim! The pizza was outstanding!!! I tried the house favorite with pepperoni, tomatoes, cream cheese and cashews for something different. Soooo good! My companions loved theirs too - the bacon ranch and Hawaiian. We ordered a family salad - it was huge! Lots of food at a great price! Friendly staff too. Waited 40 minutes for a to go order while it sits on the shelf while all the employees ignore you. (Even the girl who took your order!) Got home with order and was further disappointed. Cold soggy bread, huge salad with no dressing, the lasagna and spaghetti noodles were cold and rubbery. Also 2 guys behind counter working with food wearing no hats. Watched the head guy using bare hands on food and pizza platters. Also when I voiced my frustration there was an "oh well" attitude. They emailed me asking what time I was there. We asked 2 different people for silverware in which we got a response of they were out. So we ate salad with our hands. Finally I asked if they had plastic silverware which was given to another table and the lady said she wasn't sure but proceeded to come back a few minutes later and throw a handful of plastic ware at us. When we first moved here 4 1/2 years ago, we frequented Romas and thoroughly enjoyed it. We went recently and will never go back. Things have definitely changed. We ordered our food (4 of us) and about five other tables that came in after us were served before us. We politely asked the wait person what was taking so long with our food. She was rude and lied to us that the calzone takes longer. We watched the food service stand and the calzone we had ordered was sitting there and sat there until she turned in or corrected the rest of our order. There were 4 of us. We know that calzone was ours because it's the one she picked up and served us. Then a few minutes later, she served one pasta dish and then about 4-5 minutes later she served our other two dishes. So the calzone was eaten by one of us at the table before the other two even got our pasta dishes. It was ridiculous, but we did get our meal for free. That was not our goal and I don't like that they didn't charge us for our meal. What I don't like is that we was treated rudely, lied to and they did not apologize. read more

We've heard good things about Roma so we ordered a couple of pizzas for take out. They were delicious! Best had made pizza I've gotten for take out! We ordered the Deluxe and the Quattro Formaggi and both were excellent. Looking forward to trying new things in our dirtier orders. The price is more than a chain but it's quality pizza without the overpowering sauces or garlic crusts, being used to try and make up for the lack of quality of pizza. read more

Called the restaurant at 8:40 pm to verify they were opened and could take a late order, which they said was fine and they were open till 9. Walked in at 8:44 and their kitchen was shut down and they refused to serve us. Greeley location is better. read more

We've lived just a few blocks away from here for over a year but never tried it - kinda wish I could still say that. Aside from the pleasant hostess and waitress, the food itself was a total bust. Grease saturated cheese bread that was completely flavorless. The half order of spaghetti looked smaller than a child's portion, and just as well, as noodles were remarkably unappealing and also without flavor. The pizza was soggy, burnt on the bottom but raw dough in the crust, limited toppings - like had to dig to find a sliver of onion. Add to this the very loud and animated conversation from the kitchen staff that included multiple 'f bombs, and I can safety say it might just be the worst almost $50 I ever spent on a meal. I like this place. Really fresh ingredients. I wish there was an option to order your pick up order online. It is always so loud in the restaurant. Every time I order for pick up it comes up missing something and adding something else. For instant I ordered Green Onions and instead got Green Olives. No not the end of the world, but still a bummer when you are excited about what you ordered and created. They have great coupons and great deals. The original staff is super. Sometimes they have young help that are learning the ropes and seem to get aggregated. I totally understand as I have worked in the food industry and it was no easy 8-5 job to say the least. Keep it up and let me know if you want some help getting your menu online for takeout orders. It would save you money in the long run. It would help with mistakes, backordered's, ease of ordering for customer...collecting monies...just a small suggestion. :) read more

This nice local establishment is a great place to meet up with friends. The restaurant has daily meal specials, adult refreshments and great hand made pasta. There's lots of seating and also a bar. There were some teens that showed up and ruined the atmosphere (loud burps and occasional profanity) but i leave that to society. Had the spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. read more

I don't know what to say..... I'm sad to write this review as Roma's in Greeley was one of the first restaurants I went to when I moved to CO years ago and I've been a fan ever since but the last few times I've gotten pizza from Roma's in Windsor it wasn't good and that's a problem We called in two pizzas tonight, a simple cheese pizza and my favorite, the hot house. I got to the restaurant, paid for the pizzas and left a generous tip as always and was told "5 more minutes". It had been a while since it was called in but I wasn't going to question it. They pulled them out of the oven, tossed them in a box and 5 min later my wife and I were putting slices on our plates in the comfort of our home. To say it was bad would be disrespectful to passable pizza and to say it tasted like the box it came in would be disrespectful to the box. It really was that bad. It was so bad that I didn't believe how bad it was after 10 minutes of not eating it and I went back and tried it again and it was worse than I remembered. It pains me to write this as I have great memories of Roma's! I've had first dates there, entertained company from out of town there and bragged about the pizza from there for years but two times in a row of pizza that wasn't edible is a problem. It was so dry it was like eating cardboard. It was so dry there wasn't even grease in the box and the crust actually delaminated. I didn't even know that was possible for pizza crust to do that. It's bad when pineapple comes on your pizza and there's zero moisture left in it The waitstaff has always been nice and courteous, the cooks always yell "thanks for coming" when we leave and I don't want to discount my appreciation for "service with a smile" but that's not why we go there. I called and let the young lady at the front counter know how bad the pizza was tonight and let her know that I didn't want anything other than them to get back to making great pizza. She even offered free pizza again but I respectfully declined. What I want is for Roma's to "MAKE PIZZA GREAT AGAIN"! What they've served me the past two times I've been in is "fake pizza" and I had to comment publicly about it in hopes they read it and make whatever changes they need to make to get back to where they were Roma's, PLEASE, for the love of God, please get back to making the kind of pizza I couldn't wait to share with my friends! Lastly, these issues were with the Roma's location in Windsor, I don't know if the other locations are having the same issues or not but I want to make sure people that read my review realize that my recent bad experiences with food quality have only been in Windsor. They also lost my order once and it took over an hour to get pizza to go but thankfully it was during March madness and I was able to watch the end of a couple games.
