Saw this place while I was in the plaza some weeks ago and wanted to give it a whirl. Supposedly this place opened in early 2026, and you can tell because it looks brand new inside. Came here tonight craving the fajita plate. When I walked in I was greeted and brought to a booth right in the middle of the restaurant. I loved the nice decorations; cool looking light fixtures, a really colorful decorative tree in the middle of the restaurant, and the black and teal colored seating in my booth was very satisfying. The bar has a wheel of different tequila bottles spinning on the wall, some TVs (with live sports on) hanging on the wall, and you could hear some motivating modern music on that you might hear in a modern bar restaurant. The server named Hugo came right over as soon as I sat down and got me a glass of seltzer water that I wanted. A minute later one of the other co-servers came by and gave me a basket of gluten free nachos with 3 different dips (red salsa, green chili salsa, and refried beans) included in the basket of nachos. Very interesting. I would say that I waited about 10 minutes (a short time) and before my steak and chicken combo fajita plate came out sizzling on the iron skillet. It came with rice, black beans, pico de gallo, avocado, and 3 corn tortillas rolled up in the middle. I was impressed with the way it looked and tasted. I could tell that the restaurant is really wanting to please their customers mostly because the quality of the food was great, and because there is a decent sized portion of food that you get. I noticed that even the rice served with my food has little pieces of corn, carrots, and green beans in it, which you do not ever see at other restaurants. The quality, decent sized portion, and quality of the food here shows a sign of good restaurant management. All of this makes me want to come back. I recommend. Great job! Hands down some of the best food I've had in a while. We went during lunch and The Breakfast Tamales were to die for. I'm also a sucker for Chips and Salsa. Like I'll completely judge a place by the quality of Chips and salsa and this place DID NOT disappoint. The service was impeccable and the vibe in the restaurant was great. It wasn't loud which is what I like. If I could give it 10 stars I would read more

We arrived at 5:30pm on a Thursday and were surprised only the bar and one table were left for seating. The food choices offered an upscale vibe and both our picks were excellent. The portions were generous and noticed many guests leaving with to-go boxes. We did not try the margaritas but intend to try the house version on our next visit. Highly recommend! read more

This place is really cute and I was impressed with what they did with the space. The ambiance is really nice and they did a good job with the decor. The service was great and wait staff were all very pleasant. Most of the food was really good For starters, The salsas/ dips to go with the chips are so flavorful! Our group tried a few different things to share for dinner. Portions are large, so make sure you come hungry! The California burrito and the inside out rellanos were both delicious. The only item that was a little disappointing was the spicy drunk chicken. It was more salty than anything and the spice was hard to enjoy through all the salt. Otherwise everything was great and we will definitely be back! read more

Excellent food. Some of the best mole I've ever had. Their habanero hot sauce is delicious. Food came out hot and everything must be made from scratch. Super clean inside and gorgeous decor. Margaritas were very flavorful and made from scratch (not nasty margarita mix). Service was extremely friendly and prompt. No less than 5 stars. read more

Family members and self have ended up here twice in a day now that they have opened! Nicer scale environment relaxing and inviting for families, meetings something for everyone. From drinks to desserts. I posted here a little bit ago and since then I know that my family has been doing business with them 2-3 times a week between us all now! I personally think that it's just the best way to enjoy a taco with friends.. I hope others agree read more

Alvaro seems to only take care of young female adults. If your over the age of 50 forget it. Noe was very nice but he dissappeared. If your young and entitled this is the place for you. Other people go to the Cancun Restaurant in Windsor. Your not judged on your age or income. Get your pay stub ready and your birth certificate ready if you go here. read more

The place is really cute! It wasn't warm, but I think the patio would be fun. The service was good, our waiter was great! We were somewhat disappointed in the food, just ok, not great. read more

GREAT food, Margaritas and service! I highly recommend going. So happy to FINALLY have a good restaurant here in Timnath.

I Love this restaurant! The owner and family are amazing people! The food is really good too! Would highly recommend. It does get busy but worth the wait! read more

Margaritas are great, impaired very well with the excellent food. I had the drunken chicken and can't wait to go back to try more.

Some kinks to work out, like food delivered to wrong table or delivered without silverware. Seems the staff is learning table numbers. Waited a bit for food but not so long that we were annoyed. Food was good. Chicken tortilla soup was very good. Steak fries and chicken flaunts were good but would try something different next time. The check took a while to arrive after to go boxes, easily more than 20 minutes, but the restaurant was very busy. We'll be back for another try. read more

We love Chelo's! The food is wonderful - the chorizo queso, street tacos, flautas, etc. are all amazing. We haven't tried something we didn't like! As a tequila snob, I can say the drinks are top notch (and strong). As Timnath residents, we're so happy to have a local Mexican restaurant with great food and drinks! The service is also outstanding. All of the servers we've had have been so wonderful. Our new date night spot! read more

Good food & drinks! The food is not your run of the mill Mexican it's got creativity. Our waitress was knowledgeable and good at recommendations. My margarita was NOT watery (wink). I love you having a "local" place in Timnath! read more

The service was good, food was okay, nothing special. The decor inside the restaurant was nice, but the booth I sat in was extremely claustrophobic, and the fabric of the booth seat was poor for a brand new restaurant. read more

The beef burrito was horrible, EXTREMELY over cooked, no flavor , dry and crumbled. It was like it sat on a steam table for 12 hours.

Someone said food was above average. I thought it was way above average! Great service!! First time in forever I didn't get an overcooked shrimp. read more

Not that impressed. Food is good. But prices are high. Especially the margs. $14 for a house marg is ridiculous. It's off a tap and was terrible. Poor value for sure. read more

Great location, convenient being close to home. The vibe and ambiance were fantastic, and the service was incredible. The food was above average, but the margarita was a big letdown. We ordered a classic margarita on the rocks, It looked beautiful, but it was too sweet and tangy, and had an odd flavor. My husband and I both love margaritas and usually have two each, but we couldn't drink the margaritas we ordered. We'll stick with our regular spot in Windsor, though it's always nice to try somewhere new. read more

Great food and atmosphere! Amazing drinks! About time we get a great restaurant in Timnath.

I'm baffled reading the reviews for this new restaurant we were so excited for. First of all, the service was below average. The margaritas were good, but $14 for a house margarita is insane. The tortillas were very good, but the beans are about a 6.5 and the steak was below average. If you can't do the steak and beans really well at a Mexican restaurant, you may as well keep your doors closed. My wife and I have been to 7-8 Mexican restaurants in the area and I think we would both rate this last. read more

Good food, great service and love the atmosphere. It's nice to finally have a new place to go

The menu has different choices than the usual Mexican fare-- interesting menu and great food!

went for lunch with a friend. Found lots of good options on the menu. I ordered a quesadilla and my friend ordered a burrito. Both were very flavorful. Good presentation and hot food. Service was good as well. portions and price reasonable. I do have a recommendation for the restaurant. The restaurant has limited nearby parking and while I was waiting for my friend, I noticed two staff members park immediately in front of the entry door taking up spaces that should be reserved for customers. There is no handicap spot so I would think that employees should not take up valuable spots in an already difficult parking area. As you enter you notice next to the front counter that there are some miscellaneous items stored including randomly tossed employee jackets. Seems like there should be a better place for such items. The menu that was presented to me also had food stains on it which was not in the least bit appetizing. The restaurant has spent substantial money on decor and meal planning and I am certain they want to be recognized as more than a simple Taqueria. They have a good product, but attention to detail is important. I will be going back. I hope that they can improve on some of the things that do affect their image. read more

The chips and salsa were tasty and we would have liked more if the server would have come back. They also didn't have draft beer the day we went. Overall, The pork was dry, veggie fajitas lacked seasoning, and the other two meals which I can't remember, were just that- unmemorable. Other people's food and drinks looked better than ours. Still because I'm hoping for better in my hometown, I'll return, but I'm not likely to wait the hour for a table that was stated the first time we decided against staying. read more

The food was good. We had fajitas, steak and shrimp. The steak was on the chewy side but the shrimp was amazing. I would swear it was gulf shrimp. Service was fabulous. Hugo is a great asset. Our drinks were awesome. My husband had an espresso martini and I had a Vodka ranch hand, I believe. The ambiance is cozy and warm. Highly recommend. read more

Charming ambiance, and exceptional service. I loved seeing all those families with kids there! Friendly, community vibe. However, the food, even though nicely presented, relied too much on salt as flavoring. I was disappointed. read more
