I probably ordered the wrong thing. I say this because I have not, ever had a worse shrimp cocktail. The menu looked interesting and they had cocktails and agua fresca. The bean dip was decent. The waitress first brought a side plate filled with diced jalapeños, tomatoes, onion, cilantro and avocados. Shortly after the shrimp cocktail with saltines arrived. It had plenty of saltines on the plate thankfully. The goblet was on the smaller side and was filled to the rim with sauce. OK I guess I gotta dig in the make room for the condiments. For those of you who don't know the sauce is usually a Clamato mix and super flavorful. This I swear, tasted like the liquid from a can of whole tomatoes. Or possibly ketchup water but I think the former. There were 8 boiled shrimp hiding in this $23 dish. I was brought more water but the waitress never came back and asked how my meal was. I was starved and rushed so I plowed through this disappointing dish. I drive by this place regularly and since it was a Monday I was denied my usual Charcoal Broiler lunch in FTC as they are closed. People around me were happily eating so I would say just avoid the shrimp cocktail at all cost. read more

I loved the food here. It's tasty and the beans and rice are actually good- which sometimes is easily overlooked at many Mexican places. Accommodates our kiddos well even when we spilled a water everywhere. And the kid meals are large portions. Margs are strong and worth the money! Chips are thick and crispy. I don't understand why a restaurant offers coupons like $4 off lunch or buy one lunch entree, get second for 1/2 off. You present the coupon and they always have an excuse why they cannot accept it. First was "we don't take those on Sundays" then "it doesn't apply to the lunch deals..." so there are no restrictions written on the coupons (usually Val-pal). Has anyone had any luck with their coupons? I'm giving up trying. If there are no exceptions or restrictions printed on the coupon, there should be no restrictions! I believe in the last 5 years, the coupon at lunch has been honored twice. Both times they took the coupon at the beginning, with the order, and both times they didn't apply it to the check. Worst dining experience ever. Arrived with our 2 year old and 4 year old after the 4 year old had swimming lessons. Sat down and was given chips, salsa and water. Never saw another wait staff after that. We got up and left after 34 minutes because our kids were STARVING. Didn't see any staff on the way out either to complain. My husband and I went here because a friend recommended it to us. We went on a Saturday right around lunch time and got seated right away. They bring you out a basket of chips and bowl of salsa and refried beans for the chips. The salsa was spicy but so good, as well as the chips! We order the Fajita's for one and that was more than enough for both of us. We did get one extra shell so we each had two soft shells but it was a very generous amount of food. It was also delicious! We get over to the PV at the Windsor Exit on a fairly regular basis. It's very reasonably priced, the service is fast and friendly, and the food is as good as any Mexican restaurants in the area. It's a very casual atmosphere. It can get a little noisy when large groups are there, but we've always enjoyed it. read more

I took my dog to the emergency Vet next door so it was an opportune time for a quick dinner next door. The food was good, salsa amazing and service with a smile. I wasn't crazy about the enchilada being so thick, or the chips being cold but I loved the refried beans with lard. For the most part, they have good Mexican food. The corn tortillas aren't perfect but hey, it's Colorado. My biggest gripe would be the Green Chile soup. No green Chile. In Colorado, pork green Chile has long since been a staple and I've enjoyed the CO version for over 20 years of visiting. They use tomatillos. That's fine, but it's a crime to list it on the menu as green Chile. read more

I can't say what was better, the food or the service. The food was hot and fresh when it came out. There were 10 in our party and all of our orders came out relatively close together. None of our drinks got more than halfway empty when we were being asked about refills. It was like a whole team of servers were around and watching, without being invasive. This is a good place....convenient location. but they missed on service and the Chile Colorado. Tough beef cuts are not expected in this dish. But they totally redeemed themselves with very flavorful salsa and an amazing chicken mole. It was our first visit. We got off to a great start. The salsa was remarkably good, the best I've had in Colorado. The chips were crisp and tasted fresh. There was also a bean dip which I enjoyed. Our waiter was friendly and did a great job. When the food came, it really looked good - literally. Flavor is both subjective and regional; my taste buds found the food to be good but not outstanding. Mainly, the flavors were mild. Still, it was enjoyable. That's not why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. No, the reason for that was my wife's margarita; according to her it might as well have been alcohol-free. For $8, we expected more. Thanks to my fellow yelpers was staying right down the street from this place and, decided to visit while I was down here. It sure didn't disappoint from the service to the food. First off a mask is required walking into the the restaurant, the staff is fully masked along with the proper sanitizing around the restaurant. Social distancing has been done with the 6ft away from tables they're spaced out properly so there is no concern with that. As far as the restaurant goes we elected to sit outside on the patio this evening and had a great time the views of the highway watching the cars pass by. Our server was really good with recommending great food and drink options he was really very friendly and welcoming since it was out first time there. He also did a really good job of coming to check on us about the food and our drinks. The food was awesome came very hot and ready to go did a late evening dinner. So glad I did some research on this place from the yelp community and gave it try. read more

The food is always great. It seems like some of the dishes have less food in them now, especially if you order them to go. The people are always very friendly. They usually have a coupon in the local value paks, but they don't let you use them for take out. Dine in only. If you order to go the food is always ready on time and the has always been ready in 20 minutes or less. read more

All the staff are friendly and professional. Our waiter was very tentative. Other staff were checking on us as well and making sure our drinks are full. Great customer service for sure. I was a little skeptical at first when their chimichangas looked a little small on the menu. I got the big plate that came with one, as well as a tamale and chile relleno. I was so wrong. The chimichanga was actually crispy, had a large amount of guac and sour cream on top (for no additional charge) and completely stuffed with shredded beef. I did not even eat half of the plate. Our waitress was so nice and was laughing with us when I joked about the possibility of dessert killing me. Very attentive as well! Our waters were never empty and our food came out very quickly. Ambiance was 5 Star. The decor was custom made including the menus, booths, tables and chairs. The art and wall treatment appeared to be professionally managed. The wait service was fair....but all 3 Star or less. The food quality was the absolutely worst ever we have experienced in years. This restaurant is located off any major local traffic artery and hidden in a strip shopping center but located across the street from a hotel serving Interstate I-25 overnight guests. There were no other sit-down restaurants in the area. My wife and I are locals who had never heard of the restaurant but stumbled across it. Most diners appeared to have walked across the street from the hotel. Here's a quick list of our observations about food/drinks quality. Only a Sutter Home house wine was offered. We were pleased that at least a fair house wine was offered. Then it arrived. The Chardonnay was served warm at room temperature and sent back. Then dinner was served. The Chile Relleno I ordered did not have a single piece of Chile in it. Zero! It was full of cheese and I did not eat it. I said it looked like it was not made in-house but from their freezer. The waiter stated that the relleno was bought from a restaurant supply firm and that the restaurant was not at fault "because employees could not tell if the supplier had or had not added a poblano Chile". Laughable, but lastly, my wife had ordered a seafood dinner for $23.95 that featured shrimp wrapped in bacon complete with a mixture of veggies. The shrimp was so overcooked that it was impossible to chew or swallow. The veggies were presented poorly in an "uneatable greasy pile". When asked, the waiter stated that the shrimp/bacon and veggies in the entry were also supplied by a food provider vendor and not prepared in-house. I pity the poor interstate travelers who had to experience this horrible restaurant. Locals simply would not choose to return. Our worst food quality we have ever experienced. Food used to be amazing. Was my fave Mexican spot in town. I don't know if there was a change in ownership or what but now everything is greasy and sloppy. I get a crispy chili relleno and a bean tostada. Same thing for years. Over the past year I have both dined in and had takeout. Each time, the rellenos were greasy and the tostada wasn't crispy. Would definitely return! My friend and I visited here today and we had a great experience! Food was good and so was the service! As soon as we sat down someone brought over not only chips and salsa and water but also a cup of water for my baby with out even asking. That's very much appreciated! They also were on top of filling our water glasses and making sure everything was good! We shared the Fajitas Supreme for one and it was plenty of food for the two of us. I was really craving Mexican food during my quarantine birthday, but I haven't really ventured out and tried any local Mexican food restaurants. So, after looking at Yelp reviews, I decided to get take-out from Pueblo Viejo and was not disappointed! The chips and salsa are delicious! We've already gone back for more. Chips are not too salty and just greasy enough. Salsa is very flavorful. I got a combo with a tamale and rice and beans. The tamale wasn't the best I have ever had, but good nonetheless. We love the Windsor location of Pueblo Viejo. We visit often for lunch. The food is delicious and the staff are attentive and pleasant. Inside is bright and colorful. The patio is extremely basic and overlooks the noisy freeway, but on the plus side is on the south side of the building so in cooler weather can enjoy sitting in the warm sun. During Covid-19 they allowed us to sit outside with our takeout. read more
