My company sent me here last week for taser training. I was highly impressed and appreciative of their professionalism during my class. I was instructed by their security director Kevin Randall. He was fantastic. Completely patient with me during our training. Much appreciated. I've been doing private security & executive protection for more than a decade now between back home in New York and here in Los Angeles and during that time I've done plenty of security training at a few different establishments. And this one is definitely on of the best facilities I've trained at. I will be back for further trainings as well as continue to recommend them. read more

Absolutely in great appreciate with how professional, courteous and thoughtful Luna Security T.A. is. It started off very well. I needed information about my guard card due to this being my first time obtaining one. I called around to a few places, found cheaper ones and even though there were some out there, I didn't want to risk my license and didn't want to put my career in the hands of just anyone. I called around a few places and eventually came across Luna. My first attempt, I actually spoke with Luna herself. She was VERY informative and sensitive with my questions. (I had a lot) She didn't care that I was going to shop around. It's like she knew I was doing so. She didn't try to lure me in like the others did or wasn't just passive because her job was answering calls all day, she actually helped a stranger. I was also helped by Kevin. Kevin was very informative with my questions as well, and even returned my call later on while he did some research just before I committed to my appointment. Kevin was also my instructor for the day. He was rather informative with every step I needed to take and I'm glad I made the choice to trust in Luna security. Pros! Luna Security informed me that their services were also ELECTRONIC. In my understanding, every other company I tried MAILED your information in. In Covid times, assume this could be a time situation. If you're in a time sensitive situation, save yourself a mess and come here. Environment! VERY clean. When I arrived I was greeted by Kevin and he exchanged more information while the floors were drying from being mopped. Everything was tidy and on the up and up. Refreshments were cold, restrooms were very clean and the place wasn't stuff with unnecessary Knickknacks and furniture. Straight to point. Cons! None whatsoever. Do yourself a favor and use them for all your needs! Thanks a lot guys! read more

I was referred to this place for a CPR my dad. And my mom ended up taking the class as well. So they both came out with two certificates! Marisela was professional, helpful and oh so nice. I definitely recommend coming here to take CPR class. Oh and AC was on full blast! Tip: if you need to kill some time before class and need a pick me up coffee or grab bite... I recommend you drive towards 32nd st and Figueroa by USC north from there. It's no more than 10 minutes. They pretty much have everything there; Starbucks, McDonalds (coffee is so good) and a new TraderJoe's and Target! :) read more

In order to teach at a preschool, not only do you need certain credentials, but a CPR certificate! In order to continue my career as a preschool teacher, I called around a few places so that I can get certified professionally and in the most cost friendly way possible. BEST DECISION EVER!!! Luna Security Training Academy not only provides CPR services but also security guard training services. I searched for a CPR training class and found this one super close to me. I chose it primarily because of this. It's nice to have a local place that offers CPR training courses! Marisela was a great instructor! Thank you very much Marisela!!! She takes her time to instruct you and guide you in how to properly start and continue compressions. She is very patient with you and does not make you feel stupid when you mess up! Most of all she shows you how to properly administer the breaths you give your patient. The place is super clean and not once did I feel disgusted or like I did not want to be there. I loved how not only she sanitized the training mannequins, but also placed a plastic over the face with the mouth opening so you can administer the breaths. I will put a picture up so you can see. My wife and I have a toddler and another one on the way and we felt it is very essential to at least know CPR because you never know when you will need to administer CPR (Hopefully Never!!!) I feel much more confident that I will know what to do if the situation arises; thanks to the videos and hands on training my wife and I received from Marisela. Luna Security Training Academy has lifelong customers i my wife and I because I will make sure My wife and I take refresher courses every year, especially since we plan on being busy growing our family;) Speaking of refresher courses, Marisela also teaches classes on how to become a security guard or just simply take refresher courses to renew guard cards and permits. My guard card expires in December, so I will make sure I have Marisela help me with the refresher courses. Best thing besides the close location to my house (since most are more than 3 miles away) is the prices! Marisela offers competitive prices but most of all offers a professional and relaxing environment so you can concentrate on your course! read more

I had been recommended to go to this other spot by Montebello, CA to obtain my firearm and other certificates/permits to become a full ArmGuard but decided to see if I would find a training security facility much closer to where I live. I open the 'Yelp' app and began searching for facilities nearby which ended up giving me quite a few, one pop up first which was 'Lunas', which was 5 minutes away where I stay at. At first I was not sure about the place, I mean the location where it was at, not to mention that I've driven past the place several times and never notice it. It's not hidden they do have their banners in the front and a sign promoting what services they offer but being that it was in the 'hood' that's what made me question it. But I'm glad I chose this spot, and definitely will recommended to anyone looking to obtain their guard certification or use any of their other services they offer. First of all when I walk in right away you felt the customer service at it's best, friendly, helpful, attentive and informative. The interior of the place is clean, smells good and feels welcoming. Marisela and Tony are great, easy going, knowledgeable, train and teaches you at your speed, and really cares about their students. They make it a priority for you to understand the subjects they are teaching and the best thing is that they are there for their students even after completing any course, be it questions, concerns, help on how to complete applications or obtain more training. Definitely recommended anyone to go there and obtain your certification. read more

If you're looking to get your guard training certification done this is the place!! They treat you like family!! This training school is great to getting the permit you seeking to become a security officer or adding additional training with the permits to have more skills. The school teaches different types of courses depending upon what you need to obtain to help you get the job company you are planning to apply. The location is easy to arrive by different types of transportation like buses or your personal vehicle. The prices are very reasonable. The instructors and owner are very great in providing information details on the training of the course you are taking. The watch videos provide ton of information as well. Kevin is a great instructor that shows you a demonstration on how much force to protect yourself from suspects with the baton. He provide techniques that you didn't know. Plus Kevin and marisela Luna are down to earth, very much to work with you if you got a work schedule from your current job. They provide work as well and take any recommendations from your company to help each other out since the businesses out there need us, the professional security officers. I do highly recommend this school, the business, the people, the information you seek to obtain any or all permits. If you ask for a package deal, well that may depend upon how many permits you need. Trust my review as I just went with them and this place is a five star indeed. If maybe you tell them that I sent you by reading my review, you might get recommend at the company that I work for or that I sent you to work with them since they have work and what's great is the color of their uniform. Those uniforms make you look like a professional security officer. Luna security is a must attend for any course of class and as well I seen that she covers all types of courses that other schools don't teach at all. No matter what you need, Marisela Luna is the perfect instructor to break down all the details and work with you. She will make you feel like family and Kevin like a true brother from another mother. They are truly professional and even Kevin goes outside to lead by example of standing in front of the building of showing how to pose and post yourself if you are an officer. He's protecting you, the business and leads by example as I just said. They are awesome people that they will take a picture with you to show to your company co workers to know who to look for the instructor of the course you took. This review might had been long, but I just had to share the great experience with their services to obtain my certificate and permit. read more

Very professional. Great place to get your guard card fast and efficiently. They do life scans for you that process same day and everything(well mine did). I love that it is woman owned. Her husband Kevin is a great teacher he makes learning fun, gives lots of examples to help you remember. They offer students jobs which is also awesome. Just an all round great company!! I dont know about those other reviews but they do let you know it can take up to 60 days for the process to be completed. That is no fault of thiers because the paperwork was all electronically processed to the state and Federal Bureau of Inverstigations you just have to wait on them. But i went in Tues July 6th 2021 finished my 8hrcourse completed both background checks then woke up Tuesday July 13th and seen my Guard License number. They even hooked us up with food. Not only are they a great company but amazing hosts! Always going above and beyond for their clients. Much Love Luna and Kevin making me feel like Fam right there!!! Will be back for that armed guard card very soon!! read more

I don't normally write reviews but after reading a few of the negative reviews (interesting timing) for this business and entrepreneur I felt compelled to because they seemed more based on fiction than fact. First and foremost, Marisela offers extensive services in an area that is grossly under-served. Secondly, it is rather convenient from all parts of the city. I drove in for CPR training from downtown (Saturday class) and I drive up from Torrance, from my place of business, for firearm training. Marisela has a great demeanor, is customer focused, and truly loves her craft. Her materials and tech are up to date. The office is easy to find and she offers a clean and comfortable place (with beverages). I was pleased with the service and communication. I've also passed along her contact information to my place of business so that she can conduct CPR training onsite. If you're in the security profession, a nurse in need of CPR update, or someone wanting to learn proper technique for handling and firing a weapon and want to work with a seasoned pro, give Marisela a call. I would 100% recommend her to all my friends, family, and business contacts. read more
