OMG, finally--a pizza by the slice place that's both affordable and truly delicious! This is hands-down some of the best pizza by the slice in Houston, and I've tried a lot of places. The dough is perfectly crispy, and the cheese and pepperoni taste incredibly fresh. My only tiny critique is that it could use a little more cheese. The homemade ranch is also amazing--so flavorful and creamy. I loved that the order comes out topped with freshly shaved Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and maybe some basil? Either way, it was absolutely delicious. I'm definitely coming back. Very impressed!
14/10 ordered the create-your-own pizza at Luna's Pizzeria, and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I added hot honey, red onion, pepperoni, sausage, and whipped ricotta -- and I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm going to dream about this pizza. The pepperoni can make or break a pizza, and theirs was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the proportions were spot on, and the ratio of toppings to cheese to sauce was absolutely perfect. Every bite was balanced and full of flavor. Their Monday special is 50% off any pizza, which is one of the best values I've seen -- especially considering how huge the pizza was and how extraordinary it tasted. They also offer pizza by the slice during lunchtime, which I'll definitely be coming back for. The service was amazing, and my pizza was ready quickly. I truly can't wait to go back and try more flavors. This might be one of the best pizzas I've ever tried. Highly recommend.
Great service and great pizza. Not your regular pizza parlor - you could tell Ingredients are top quality and service was excellent. They have real utensils and napkins. I ordered the lunch special, it came with a tossed delicious salad with Kalamata olives and salami . My pizza was delicious - mushrooms and feta . Gentleman that assisted me was very kind and customer oriented. They also brought me a little plate with some greens and chili and cheese for my pizza . I recommended this place !!!
Monday is half price pizza day which is great. The pepperoni 9 " pie was good but the crust was not as crisp as i'd like. Both my wife and I got the chopped salad and it was loaded with goodies and overflowed the bowls they came in. She got a chicken parm sammy without the bread and homemade chips. The chips were very good but the parm was average. We tried all their sugar free dispensed soda options and they were all flat. My pizza came with a small plate with red peppers, sliced parm cheese and a chopped green herb....this is a nice touch.
Pizza here is one of the best in Houston. We order the half and half large to get a variety. We typically go for the Arugula with Prosciutto and Spicy Andouille. Very good combination. We have tried other combinations as well. Even better is their half priced Monday pizzas. Still the same pizza just cost less. You go to the counter to place your order and either dine in or take out. They have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from (soda, lemonade and iced tea). Service is fast. Take about 8 mins after paid. Freshly made. You can watch them make it too. Place is a little dark. Maybe that's the ambiance they are going for. They have booths, tables and counter tables. They have multiple locations so check them out if you have not tried them before. Highly recommended.
You can tell no detail went unconsidered. For one, the water toppings of lemon, lime, and mint. And the pizzas come with a thoughtful assortment of parmesan, chili flakes, and thyme. The 16" pizza is huge and can feed the court of us easily. Although the crust could always be a tad thinner, I really enjoyed the pizza and topping options. Pizzas are the highlight, but don't miss out on the amazing dessert choices of their gooey chocolate chip cookies or tiramisu. The arugula salad is also a winner.
Food is great. Pepperoni is my favorite. Music is pop. Please have someone clean the boogers off the wall in the bathroom. And maybe clean the walls. Service is fine. They were nice enough to let me use the restroom
Super friendly and helpful employees! They have good lunch specials and half off pizzas on Mondays. Parking lot is shared with nearby businesses but you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot. I got the caesar salad and personal size margherita pizza for $15 with the lunch special.
This is our go-to pizza place, and my husband and I come here once every week. The dough is great, the ingredients are always fresh, and the buffalo wings never disappoint. The service is good and the place is really comfortable, which makes it even better. We also love the little extras, like the Parmesan on the side.
The Food was delicious- I had the build your own pizza w/grilled chicken, red onion , basil, and I also had a caesar side salad.
This place is AMAZING. Soon as we walked in the guy behind the counter started to explain everything and all the options, he was very passionate about it. The food was AMAZING! Toppings were free to add to the signature pizzas and the ricotta was out of this world. Tiramisu was $9 and I was a little hesitant due to price, but it was HUGE. Could easily be for 2-4 people and was absolutely delicious, very well done for a Tiramisu. The place is nice and they even have a thing in the drink area with fresh lemons, limes, and mint leaves. Very cool. Wonderful place, will be back next time In Houston.
Luna pizzerias have several locations and this review is for the Westheimer location. We went at an off time on a Friday early afternoon and there was no one else there except for some children whose parents must've worked there from the looks of all the "busy toys " they had with them. I think my expectation of the place was more restaurant style than order at counter. My husband and i couldn't agree on a pizza so we each picked 3 toppings for a half and half. Note even on a half and half there is an extra charge for over 5 toppings. It came out super quick and they brought it to the table. My side was jalapeños artichokes and sliced tomato's which had a great taste together. Pizza was hot and placed on a stand on table. My Italian chef husband who is verrrrrrrrrry picky felt like it was good tasting but didn't like the crust as much as his. So Lunas falls in the 4 star which it was tasty but I probably wouldn't come again.
Didn't know this location & the Heights did 50% off pizzas on Monday's until now! Now that all locations have increased prices and limited amount of toppings to 5, I haven't ordered as much but the 50% makes their pizzas definitely worth it! They were generous with the toppings and my pizza was delicious :) ingredients good quality as always! fyi, now $1 extra for veggie/cheese toppings, $2 extra for meat toppings after the first 5
I'll always evaluate a pizza spot by their dough, and Luna pizza dough is perfectly chewy with a crispy outer crust. If your favorite way to have pepperoni is curled up with crispy edges and oil pooled in the center, then this is the place to get that. I loved both pizzas we ended up getting. read more
Luna Pizzeria offers classic pizza menu and salads. They have appetizers too which are iconic Italian starters. Their signature pizzas menu is on the wall, big and clear. They had everyday combos, and specials from Monday to Wednesday (half priced pizza on Monday!!) This is a self-serve restaurant. There are plenty of seats available, so not to worry. The interior is simple, and the eye-catching part of the restaurant is the menu on the walls. I had the personal size Hawaiian pizza, which was a good portion for me. I loved the pizza dough and the cheeses on my pizza. However, there could be more ham, pineapples, and red onions. My friend got Build Your Own pizza and her pizza was filled with ingredients. Overall, the pizza was delicious. If you have the stomach for dessert, they have gelato on cups or cones. Or you can choose from the classic desserts - chocolate chip cookie, tiramisu, or carrot cake. read more

This is the "go to" quick pizza fix lunch spot that surpasses your expectations. I got the lunch special which was a small (not by far) pizza and a salad for about $15! Believe me this is enough food for 2 people easily. So it means lunch for $7.50/ea basically. Great service, Great food and Great Value- a true triple G! read more

Me and the wife come here almost every Monday for the half-priced pizzas and share a mini Caesar salad. It's always so fresh and tasty! We love eating inside because the service is quick and friendly and we enjoy the atmosphere. read more
Pizza and vibes were awesome! I think this place is probably better than most of the dine in and eat pizza places that I can think of. Their gluten free pizza (not pictured) is also pretty good. The donuts they have are also a must have and are definitely a nice end to eating pizza! There is plenty of space inside of the restaurant and is kid friendly as well having some toys and games to play there. Highly recommend going at least once if you haven't been before. read more

Update because my other review is a bit outdated. This is a casual counter service pizza place that serves up delicious pie! For a great deal, the Monday special is half off pizzas at this location! One can opt for the nine inch personal size, but it's better to just split the larger size and have leftovers to take home. You can opt for a half and half with toppings combinations. The toppings are premium, with some interesting options. I love adding whipped ricotta as a topping. It adds a whole new dimension to the pizza. The crust here is thin but a bit floppy and greasy. I sometimes ask for it to be cooked well done, especially when I order pepperoni because they get crispy along the edges. Pizzas take about seven minutes to cook. Their pizza of the month doesn't change, which is a bit disappointing, but whatever. Don't forget the hot sauce! read more

Delicious! I looooveeeee how we can order hot honey. That and the pepperoni and also with some prosciutto- delicious!! The highlight was the very complimenting thin crust that balanced with the ingredients and without a DOUBT- the free added condiments of the freshhhh mozerella, basil leaves, and chunky chilli pepper flakes Truly balanced everything and made it an elevated, more sophisticated, and quality DIY pizza stop! So was looking for a new place to eat and saw this place. Upon entering the establishment, the place was super nice and clean. While walking up to order I observed many people eating pizza and a salad, anyways that was I was getting. The female taking my order was happy, cheerful, looked like she was enjoying working there. I ordered a personal pizza and salad . The pizza was huge with lots of toppings and the salad was also big. The mozzarella cheese was awesome in the pizza! The salad also had chunks of cheese and it's was delicious! I'm definitely going back for more pizza . The portions were pretty good! read more

The wife and I wanted pizza. Yelp to the rescue. The reviews were good and the photos looked appealing. Giddy-up let's go. A modern and hard surfaces decor met us at the door. Comfortable seats and clean environment. One table needed bussing but there were only two employees so I was certain they would get to it when they could. It's in a strip center so not too large...about 15 tables. We walk up to the counter and order a large create your own pizza, pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. One thickness crust on the menu. Self serve drinks were poured before taking a seat. With the pizza, fresh oregano, shaved Parmesan, and red pepper flakes were served on a dish. Linen napkins and glass plates. Little games for fidgety patrons were also available. Nice. The pizza was tasty but kinda average. The thin crust didn't have a lot of flavor and the ingredients were just good. I was expecting a little more based on the reviews. We eat pizza at least once a week so maybe we are being too snob-ish. If I would make it a point to stop in again, that is a 4 star rating. I saw that this place has pretty good reviews, so I decided to check this out via delivery to my house the other night. I got the meatballs sub and the make your own pizza which has unlimited toppings options. The meatball sandwich came with potato chips, which were both very delicious. The pizza had a very generous amount of toppings and tasted very fresh, even when it took almost an hour for the delivery to come in, so I can imagine that they would taste even better in person fresh out of the oven. I really liked everything, so I would definitely check this place out in person next time. read more

Ordered via DoorDash. Margherita pizza was a 8/10. The mozzarella wasn't all the way melted but the flavor was a 10/10 Pepperoni pizza was a 8/10 as well, the pepperoni pieces were small so you actually get pepperoni in every bite. Chopped salad was delicious. I got the mini size and it was more than a typical side salad. Chocolate chip cookie: definitely worth the $2, tons of chocolate chips. It's more of a soft and thick cookie than a crispy thin one. read more
