I added hot honey, red onion, pepperoni, sausage, and whipped ricotta -- and I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm going to dream about this pizza. The pepperoni can make or break a pizza, and theirs was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the proportions were spot on, and the ratio of toppings to cheese to sauce was absolutely perfect. Every bite was balanced and full of flavor. Their Monday special is 50% off any pizza, which is one of the best values I've seen -- especially considering how huge the pizza was and how extraordinary it tasted. They also offer pizza by the slice during lunchtime, which I'll definitely be coming back for. The service was amazing, and my pizza was ready quickly. The interior is simple, and the eye-catching part of the restaurant is the menu on the walls. I had the personal size Hawaiian pizza, which was a good portion for me. I loved the pizza dough and the cheeses on my pizza. However, there could be more ham, pineapples, and red onions. My friend got Build Your Own pizza and her pizza was filled with ingredients. OMG, finally--a pizza by the slice place that's both affordable and truly delicious! This is hands-down some of the best pizza by the slice in Houston, and I've tried a lot of places. The dough is perfectly crispy, and the cheese and pepperoni taste incredibly fresh. My only tiny critique is that it could use a little more cheese. The homemade ranch is also amazing--so flavorful and creamy. I loved that the order comes out topped with freshly shaved Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and maybe some basil? Monday is half price pizza day which is great. The pepperoni 9 " pie was good but the crust was not as crisp as i'd like. Both my wife and I got the chopped salad and it was loaded with goodies and overflowed the bowls they came in. She got a chicken parm sammy without the bread and homemade chips. The chips were very good but the parm was average. We tried all their sugar free dispensed soda options and they were all flat. Pizza here is one of the best in Houston. We order the half and half large to get a variety. We typically go for the Arugula with Prosciutto and Spicy Andouille. Very good combination. We have tried other combinations as well. Even better is their half priced Monday pizzas. Still the same pizza just cost less. You go to the counter to place your order and either dine in or take out. They have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from (soda, lemonade and iced tea). Service is fast. Take about 8 mins after paid. Freshly made. You can watch them make it too. Place is a little dark. Maybe that's the ambiance they are going for. They have booths, tables and counter tables. This place is AMAZING. Soon as we walked in the guy behind the counter started to explain everything and all the options, he was very passionate about it. The food was AMAZING! Toppings were free to add to the signature pizzas and the ricotta was out of this world. Tiramisu was $9 and I was a little hesitant due to price, but it was HUGE. Could easily be for 2-4 people and was absolutely delicious, very well done for a Tiramisu. The place is nice and they even have a thing in the drink area with fresh lemons, limes, and mint leaves. I hate to be THAT person. But I wasn't crazy about the pizza. The restaurant was nice and clean, they had games on some of the tables, and a PacMan game that you can play for free. But we were there for Pizza. Being newbies we weren't entirely sure what to order, so we stuck with what we knew. We got some cheesy garlic bread, and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The garlic bread was eh. And to me it was the best thing that we ordered. It was cheesy, but it didn't really have a lot of flavor. As for the pizza, it really wasn't that good. Granted, I dont LOOOOVE pizza, so I'm probably not the best person to write a pizza review, but my husband considers pizza it's own food group, and he wasn't impressed either. I ended up eating just one piece of it, and he ate about 3 pieces. To the normal person 3 pieces may seem like a lot, but we don't usually have any leftovers when we eat pizza. I'll usually eat a couple of slices, and he usually finishes it off. We took what was left to go, and never even ate the rest of it. I don't know what it was, maybe it was an off day. I dont know. We went at an off time on a Friday early afternoon and there was no one else there except for some children whose parents must've worked there from the looks of all the "busy toys " they had with them. I think my expectation of the place was more restaurant style than order at counter. My husband and i couldn't agree on a pizza so we each picked 3 toppings for a half and half. Note even on a half and half there is an extra charge for over 5 toppings. It came out super quick and they brought it to the table. My side was jalapeños artichokes and sliced tomato's which had a great taste together. Pizza was hot and placed on a stand on table. My Italian chef husband who is verrrrrrrrrry picky felt like it was good tasting but didn't like the crust as much as his. So Lunas falls in the 4 star which it was tasty but I probably wouldn't come again. read more

One can opt for the nine inch personal size, but it's better to just split the larger size and have leftovers to take home. You can opt for a half and half with toppings combinations. The toppings are premium, with some interesting options. I love adding whipped ricotta as a topping. It adds a whole new dimension to the pizza. The crust here is thin but a bit floppy and greasy. I sometimes ask for it to be cooked well done, especially when I order pepperoni because they get crispy along the edges. Pizzas take about seven minutes to cook. Comfortable seats and clean environment. One table needed bussing but there were only two employees so I was certain they would get to it when they could. It's in a strip center so not too large...about 15 tables. We walk up to the counter and order a large create your own pizza, pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. One thickness crust on the menu. Self serve drinks were poured before taking a seat. With the pizza, fresh oregano, shaved Parmesan, and red pepper flakes were served on a dish. Linen napkins and glass plates. Little games for fidgety patrons were also available. Nice. The pizza was tasty but kinda average. The thin crust didn't have a lot of flavor and the ingredients were just good. I was expecting a little more based on the reviews. We eat pizza at least once a week so maybe we are being too snob-ish. If I would make it a point to stop in again, that is a 4 star rating.
