Probably one of the best pedis I've ever had in terms of attention to detail. My tech was really taking her time to prep my nails for polish. It's very small inside and was a bit daunting at first since I'm used to being more spread out. It was notably clean. PLEASE READ!! I have gone to luminous for 3 years now on and off. The place is pretty and well decorated. Lots of color options. I just recently went in and had a 2 star experience. I called ahead to see if they could fit me in for a dip powder manicure with tips( I wasn't going to throw a fit if they were fully booked) and she said come in at 1. So I did. And when I came in I picked a color. Stood for about 20 mins then got sat down. THATS WHEN IT GOT BAD. I'm pretty sure I had the woman who is the owner or at least the boss. She started drilling off my old nails and glue and then she would turn away to talk to someone else WHILE DOING MY NAILS. I was pissed to see she wasn't giving her full attention to detail. Then when it came to the tip shape, I wanted almond. And then she took the same DRILL. And DRILLED THE SHAPE. Not using a file like every other nail place does. Then when I mentioned something she tried to tell me to just wait. The entire time she was doing my nails she acted like she was being timed. Going WAYYYY TOOOO FASSST. Not taking her time to check and make sure it's not smudged ( 3 of they were). Overall my nails came out a 7 out of 10 in my book, but I will NOT be letting her do them again. I had to have 2 different men do my nails because they didn't let my gel color sit long enough and chipped before I even left the shop. She had spilled water and I nearly slipped getting down, she never wiped up the water and my paper slippers were very wet and had to shuffle to the crowded entry where there was no chair. My tech never returned and after 20 minutes I flagged someone down and she went behind the counter and said $35, and I asked if she was going to check my toes and remove the toe separators and paper shoes. She went back to her customer, I removed them myself, went to the desk, the tech closest to the register got up and took my payment! Very disappointed in their customer service .... My daughter & I had gift certificates to enjoy together. I made an appointment for the Saturday before Memorial day-couldn't get the time I wanted but agreed to a time. We arrived to find all nail chairs full and 2 pedicure seats in use with at least 4 more people waiting! We decided to wait until the following week and I asked for 4pm on Wednesday. Thinking it over, I tried to call for 2 days to move to 5 pm and finally succeeded. I arrived at 4:55. My daughter was running late. Again 4-5 people waiting and the girl at the first chair tried to tell me the appointment was for 4pm. They got me started even though I said my daughter was almost there. The tech started the water and walked away. The water became too hot. When she tried to adjust it, I got splashed up to the seat! I picked a color which she then said they didn't have! This was the shortest, most uncomfortable pedicure I have ever had. The only choice I was given was the color and type of polish-regular, gel or powder! My daughter arrived and they seated her next to me but didn't start her until I was done and then told me to go have a seat! Never again! I never write complaints. I mean it when I say that. I'm just really upset about my recent visit. You know, when you go to get your nails done you're excited. And if you know the color you want, you want time to look for it. I don't know about you, but my "nail salon pet peeve" is when I am rushed to pick a color. I had my appointment and came a little early, so I could do just that. Mind you, first appointment of the day, not busy at all. Looking for one minute, and they tell me to take a seat at a specific booth; several times. I told them I would like to pick my color first and that I haven't looked at all of the books, and I wasn't rude. They told me they are all the same (they aren't, and they aren't all labeled). Maybe if they were organized better so people would know that IDK. So, I walk over holding all of my stuff and two of those books, like c'mon let me just pick it first no one is in here. Anyway, whatever, I moved on. There was a lot of chatting amongst the staff, idk they may or may not have been complaining, but all I know is that the guy did my nails in a half hour, skipped the cuticle oil, cuticle maintenance, they are crooked, and skipped the lotion. All things they usually do. Then they charged me $45. Which, I swear to G their price for a regular dip were $40, which is already higher than some. Does anyone else remember it being $40? I couldn't look anywhere they took the prices down, but the lady told me it was always that price. Definitely wasn't. I walked in with plain nails and had no tips, rushed to pick color, given some attitude, then a half a** job on my nails for $45. I just want people to know "suddenly" $45 for a half hour for a dip manicure that was not even done well in the half hour. I never get out of the house because I have little ones and I was excited (moms you get). It just made me sad. Just not fair or good business practice. I hope you have a better experience. read more

I then went to pay and she told me $15 extra since a french manicure is a "design". I told her calmly and quietly that I spoke with her over the phone yesterday and she said $35 flat after I described exactly what I wanted. she made a spectacle in front of the entire salon, yelling at me and directing her body towards the rest of the customers there as she scolded me on their pricing policy. I'm shocked at the lack of hospitality from this business. I had a 80$ gift card I got last year. I lost it and found it last month. I decided I'd go get a manicure and pedicure. When I went to use the gift card they told me I couldn't use it after a year and that they had a new owner and wouldn't accept it. Then proceeded to have me call the old owner and ask him to bring them 80$(Seriously). Even the old owner said they bought the business and they should honor the gift certificate. I can't believe that they did not have the decency to understand that 80$ was spent on that gift certificate and they should of taken it anyway. It was for their business. Basic pedicure was $30. I came in and had my temperature taken and was told to wash my hands. I filled out a covid form and was able to be seated immediately. I felt so comfortable seeing all of the covid precautions in place. On a Saturday I expected to wait but not at all. The service was great and she took her time. The seats even have a guard in place to separate you from the employees. The salon is extremely clean and reasonably priced. Will definitely return. read more

I gave it a second chance because of the reviews, and I wish I didn't I wish I would have stuck with Mozoe Nail Spa, we made an appointment for 1:30, never got started till 1:55 and and we were there till 3:30, I used 3 colors cost me $52.00 but friend used 5 and it got $45.00, then when I checked out I always tip, I left the tip on the mans works station and as I'm walking out the owner yells for all the customers which were about 8 in there "SHE DIDN'T EVEN TIP". For one TIPPING isn't mandatory it's up to the customer, they as a business are NOT allowed to make customers tip, nor ask how they will tip, whether it's in cash or on their card. This place should be shut down, not to mention they have signs inside their store asking customers to tip and pay with CASH, why so they can not claim it????? No well established business would ever post signs like this inside their business nor make their customers feel like tipping is mandatory.
