Infused water, tea, yogurt, granola, and fruit were available and included. The room walked out to an outdoor area with a hot tub. Two chairs had warming blankets the other was a table with chairs to enjoy your drinks or food. The ladies locker room was nice. Every item you could imagine from essential oils, lotions, hair products, tooth brushes etc and lavender infused cold towels. There was a sauna with a sitting area and the showers were clean and beautiful. My treatment was a wrap and it came with a mimosa. The wrap was wonderful! The scrub was a great way to exfoliate. There was a shower in the room to rinse off the scrub and then the lotion made my skin so soft. The employees are very an accommodating and professional. The only drawback was the prices were pretty high compared to what I have spent in the past. I would also suggest some additional ambiance in the outdoor area. I do recommend this spa it is beautiful and very pampering.

And Donna gave me one of the best massages of my life. If that was the bare bones massage, I definitely want to try all the fancy ones. Donna used incredible aromatherapy and gentle, firm pressure. I was very close to falling asleep during my treatment, which is crazy rare for me. And afterwards, she was waiting for me with a smile and a bottle of water. The shower in the dressing room was lovely and well equipped. I loved the sauna and the lavender-infused cooling towels! Seriously, I want to move in. Just go. Can I go two days in a row?

Stunning, well decorated waiting area and basement area. You get the entire place to yourself while getting pampered. Quality all around. Very friendly and welcoming staff. My masseuse, Stacy May, was very professional, very dedicated and goes beyond the required service to make it a great experience. They have options with the kind of oil they can use, so I went with the classic: lavender. She asked me if there were any particular areas she should concentrate on and made sure they were given extra attention during the massage. In addition, she made sure it was a full body massage by giving each part enough time to relax your entire body. Although it was a 60 minute massage, she went on for an additional 10 minutes just so I could get the complete experience. We were staying at the inn so it was highly convenient for us to just go back up to our room after the massage to take a shower. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a good massage as I'm sure the place won't fail to impress you.

Before checking out and heading home, my boyfriend and I decided to get hot stone massages. I have received many massages and this one was THE BEST. Rebekah, my masseuse, is so beyond knowledgeable. I love how she asked me what type of pressure I like, if I had any areas of concern, and explained her normal technique beforehand. She was able to get out kinks in my back and neck while also giving me a soothing, enjoyable massage. In my experience, a massage is either pleasant but doesn't do anything or tough/somewhat painful, but effective. Rebekah takes the good from both ends to have the perfect massage. She was also extremely knowledgeable about muscles and stretches I can do to help where I get tight. The massage felt very tailored to me and what I need which was very much appreciated. My boyfriend had the same feedback about his technician and said it was the best massage he's had too. The spa is SUPER clean and the rooms are very private and quiet. I couldn't hear any noise from any other rooms. If I lived closer, I would come again and again. Highly recommend August Moon Spa and highly, highly recommend Rebekah!!

The spa staff were very nice and took time to explain everything to me, since it was a while since I had been there. I found out at the front desk there would be a skincare event at 11 which fit in perfectly with my visit. I changed into my bathing suit, put on my robe and went into the quiet room, got some water and relaxed until my name was called. My masseuse took me into the room asking my preferences also any areas that needed more attention or to avoid. I got the Monet massage with my choice of scented oil. The experience was first class....my masseuse, Michelle, listened to everything I said. I went to the skincare event and came home with some lovely new items and a nice gift bag of products. I went back into the locker room to enjoy the steam room and the sauna. Then to the heated outdoor whirlpool ( they have a bar outside and a few light food items you can order). I knew I was going to have lunch overlooking the little bridge by the waterlily pond. The hostess was incredibly nice, it wasn't busy so we talked and she told me about the other locations. My French onion soup was some of the best I've had, full rich, flavored broth that was NOT too salty, nice soft bread inside and warm melty gruyere cheese. I had a turkey salad sandwich with bacon, tomato, lettuce and avocado on their homemade cranberry, walnut bread. It came with truffle Parmesan thin fries. The meal was excellent, and the service was great. Everybody I encountered was friendly, polite and helpful. The high level of hospitality was evident with everyone I encountered. The facility was clean and the entire time I was there all the little things were constantly being taken care of. Water refilled, dirty linen removed, areas wiped down, etc I can't wait for my next visit.

Sadly our experience didn't live up to Mirbeau's supposed good reputation. The gap between the price and the value of service was the size of the Grand Canyon. Our room was about $450 a night, closer to $500 after taxes. The rooms are pretty, even in the winter the view of the garden was nice. The bathrooms in the cottage rooms are spacious. Things went downhill at dinner in the attached restaurant. We were one of about 4 tables so it was a slow night. Our server did an adequate job, but the food was extremely disappointing. My fiance reported that there were bits of shell in all of his oysters. The cheese board wasn't very inspiring, for $24 I could have made the same thing myself at home after a stop at Wegmans. My filet was cooked wrong twice, after the second time where it came out still slightly overcooked I had it taken off the bill. My fiance finished half of his wagyu as it also fell very flat for him. Mind you, this was a $140 dollar steak entree, and the chef didn't even bother to salt the meat. We ended up having about half our meal comped and it was still over $300 to eat one of the worst fine dining meals we've ever had. The spa itself, like the rooms, were also just okay. The locker rooms are spacious and well stocked, and kept clean. One place that's lacking is that there's not enough waiting space for everyone. The "tranquility" waiting room with the foot pool is not enough room for people who are trying to lounge/meditate AND for people to congregate waiting for their spa services. It was awkward not really having somewhere to sit. My massage was ok, it felt more like a Swedish massage than it did a deep tissue. There wasn't any opportunity to request more attention be paid to certain areas with more tension (I told her my right arm is usually more sore and she kind of just ignored me and didn't touch that area at all). My masseuse said I was breathing incorrectly so I was too distracted by my breathing to enjoy my massage. We ended up cancelling our second night. I will never recommend Mirbeau to anyone.

It didn't mention anything about non refundable. The cancellation policy is 48 hours prior to appointment. So I booked what I thought was a free consultation. Unfortunately when I talked to my doctor, due to upcoming procedures, they asked me to not get the treatment. I couldn't figure out how to cancel my consultation online so I called to cancel 6 days before my appointment. I said my doctor isn't allowing the appointment so I need to cancel my consultation. The lady said no problem we'll hold your deposit for your next appointment. I advised I didn't know that I was making one due to my doctor not recommending the treatment for me. She said oh well I can't give you the $75 back. I asked why as I was well outside the cancellation policy, I booked what I thought was a free consult, and no where does the $75 deposit say not refundable. The receptionist said I'm sorry but I can't give you the $75 back. For that reason I don't recommend this business. To keep someone's money who was coming for a free consult isn't acceptable. To keep someone's money who cancelled within cancellation period is unacceptable. No where onljne when you pay the $75 does it say non refundable. So unless you are 100% sure you will receive a service from this business I highly advise against booking anything with them.
