I'm not sure why we couldn't sit next to each other as we both had open tables next to the seats we were sitting in. We both had gel manicures and deluxe pedicures totaling $280 for our services and my gel was already peeling up 2 days after. They are charging spa prices for an unprofessional and unclean establishment. My nail tech rushed through my services. Spoke loud in her language ordering other techs around during my appointment. Love their pedicures, is still my top pedi place. Got a full set of acrylics for the first time two days ago, and I don't know if the woman who did them was new/inexperienced, but I had so much polish all around my cuticles. Also, I can see part of my real nails poking out the side on some fingers. Several of the nails are at an angle and my nail beds are flat. I would have gone back to have them fix it, but I got these nails done right before I left for a trip. I'll still go for manicures (regular and gel), but this is the first and now last time I'll do acrylics at Luminous. They were so demanding and fast that I found myself being sat in a chair before I could pick my toe color and then my nails were being done, the same time my toes were, I was not in control or had any options, they started clipping my nail length before even asking me!!! it was not calm of peaceful or a fun experience!! I got the second expensive pedicure as I'm pregnant and my feet really needed to be filed down and rubbed. I made an appointment for 3:30 the night before my appointment for an organic pedicure and a full set of acrylics. As soon I got there Snow was going to start my pedicure and they told her she had another customer coming in at 4. She was rushing through the pedicure but she did a good job. Amy was doing my full set and she insisted I go with the polygel so I did. She was rushing also as if I was an inconvenience and no one had time for me even though I made an appointment. I'm so dissatisfied with the way my nails came out. Everything is so uneven and pointy. I asked for baby pink medium almond and even showed her a picture and my nails basically turned out as sharp straight stilettos. I asked her to round them out more and barely did anything to the shape. I don't typically get my nails done so this was supposed to be a treat for me and for $134 it was such a disappointment. I also only spent an hour in the salon and that's an immediate red flag because a fresh set of acrylics usually take an hour or 45 minutes minimum. I will never come back here. read more

My daughter and I decided to try this place out a couple of months ago. She wanted to get her nails and toes done for Homecoming. For the pedicure part, my daughter had a really outgoing and loud young lady that loved joking around and laughing with the male employee. Unfortunately, she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and ended up cutting one of my daughter's toe cuticles too deep and it bled A LOT. My daughter told me that her toe stung badly due to a liquid solvent this employee kept pouring on the cut. The employee acted like it wasn't a big deal and happens every now and then. My daughter then walked over to get a manicure with a different employee and her toe continued to bleed. There was so much blood that many of the employees hovered around my daughter's feet and worried about the amount of blood that was on her flip flop. The owner came over and acted like it wasn't that big of a deal. The girl that actually cut her toe cuticle came over and asked if my daughter is on blood thinner or some sort of medication that would make her bleed a lot. I was not happy with how they dealt with this situation. I felt like they were making my daughter feel like it was her fault for bleeding so much. They charged us for the whole service. We are never going back and we would not recommend this place to our friends and family. read more

I have not had nails done in a while so I decided to get them done. I made an appointment and all they had appointment wise was for 5:30 PM. They closed at seven. I had a guy that was very friendly. He sat me down and started to do my nails. I noticed after putting the tips on he started to get very shaky . I didn't think anything of it at the time, but he put a very very light acrylic on. I noticed they were a little crooked, but I thought he would reshape them a little after. Some of the nails were sticking up, at a slight angle after the filing and shaping, he started getting shaky and rushing. . I asked for a silver-ish chrome and he put a white pearl color with sparkles, which I thought I might like at the time and possibly could look different outside. It was my bad for leaving, disappointed in the nail color, but in order to change colors, it was getting a bit too late and I felt bad. There were holes when he brushed the powder on and chunks missing on the side of nail. I shortly got a message after leaving asking how my service was today and I explained pretty much everything above . Tracy, the owner reached out to me and apologized and offered to fix my nails. I showed up and they wanted to put me with him to fix them but I didn't think that was a good idea so they put me with another lady and I'm not sure of her name. She was very nice and friendly to me. She did a great job communicating to me as she was fixing them, assuring I was Fully satisfied before leaving. what turned into a disappointment when I walked out of the salon what, turned into a positive experience after getting in and having my nails fixed thank you so much to Tracy for reaching out to me. I've been a regular customer here (every 3 weeks) for 3 years, minus the COVID closure at the beginning of the pandemic. Out of the dozens of times I have been here, I have had ZERO acrylics break or come off. I have had maybe 2 visits where my top coat wasn't perfect on a pedicure and that can happen for a number of factors. I am incredibly picky about my nails and I would not continue to go here if the quality was less than excellent. My tips: 1. Make an appointment before the day of and don't be in a rush. 2. If you make a request, double check to make sure you were understood. If you don't think the communication is aligning relay your request through the owner, Tracy. She is lovely and always willing to help. 3. If you are going to come regularly find a tech you like and build a relationship. I have been going to Luminous Nail Lounge for years, since before Traci took over as owner. I go in regularly for pedicures. I have never been disappointed. I am always treated with grace, respect, and pleasant professionalism by all the staff members. Traci has updated and upgraded the lounge so well, and it is always very clean, welcoming, and very modern. Linh does a fabulous job of taking very good care of my feet. I am 75 yrs old, so dry skin is a constant aggravation. Ingrown toenails are no longer a problem for me, and Linh is very skilled at the best possible level of treatment and care to keep my feet healthy, and my skin soft. My visits here are refreshing and I always leave feeling like I have "new feet!" Their prices did go up a bit after the fauci-virus hit, but I am so thankful for the great foot care, that I barely notice it. Foot care at my age is extremely important to maintain good overall health, and I am so fortunate to be able to go every two weeks for my necessary "treat." Worst pedicure and gel nail service I have EVER had! Nails are cut crookedly, nothing matches, didn't trim cuticles, left big chunks of top coat around entire nail bed, didn't do the "hot oil" pedicure I paid for but basic lotion service, didn't scrub calluses, or trim them short like I had asked, nails already look a full 2 weeks grown out and one toenail has paint chipped off. I have been here several times for acrylics and pedicures. Each time I went, the top coat they used slowly browned over time. I didn't realize that it was the top coat causing the browning until this last time when it was almost orange just the day after getting them done! The first picture is the night I got them done, it was starting to go orange, so I tried putting a different top coat over the polish which then made my thumb nail look terrible because my top coat messed up the nail. The next picture is my other hand the following morning. I love the salon and the women that work here are always so nice, but I had to repaint both my nails and toenails because they both went brown! Felt like a waste of money. read more

I went in yesterday for a pedicure to treat myself as the weathers getting nicer & it was the most painful experience ever. The lady practically lifted my left toenail from the nail bed & cut the sides till they were raw. I woke up this morning with that same left toenail swollen, red, painful, inflamed, all clear signs of an infection. I've now been put on antibiotics & can barely walk from the pain. read more

What an incredible experience! We are fairly new to Snohomish County and have been looking for our go-to nail salon. This was our first time in and we have finally found our spot. First impression upon walking through the doors was CLEAN and modern. It's a beautiful and very large space! They are going above and beyond with their COVID safety measures including taking your temperature before you sign in. Nail chairs are being seated every-other so there is no one sitting next to you on either side. There is also plexiglass between you and the nail technicians - all of whom have their Barbicide certification displayed. Lastly, a woman who appeared to be the manager thanked us for coming in at the start of our appointment. As for the Classic pedicures we got - they were excellent. My husband's massage chair wasn't working and the manager took care of it immediately by apologizing and moving him to a new chair. She then made sure the technicians were made aware not to seat that chair again until fixed. The foot massage included with the Classic was outstanding. It seems that at most salons this part is just passed through quickly unless you opt for a "luxury" pedicure option - but she really took her time and the exfoliating lotion smelled and felt amazing.
