Brought a friend for same service, classic pedicure. Mine did little to nothing. Didn't even let my toes soak long enough before painfully removing my cuticles. Used their spinning file on my nails til it burned. Then used DIRTY used files & didn't bother to scrape the bottom of my feet. We both had black mold in our drains, so gross. Even though the ladies don't all speak fluent English, they manage to understand my instructions. I have been going here for 2 years now. I went in on Friday to get a pedicure. I ran out of time and had to leave with no polish! That day, the pedicure was very well done. Went back with my 5 year old on Monday and asked, "just polish for us both." We both had fine service and our toes got polished. When I went to pay. She asked the boss what to charge, I believe the owner. She told the lady, "$30."! I was like, "WHAT?" For JUST polish......? I even believe asked again, in case I heard wrong. So I basically paid the cost of 1 reg pedicure, for us both to just receive polish. Which I just paid and tipped someone the Friday before. Things like this, make one not return! Maybe, I'm cheap! Honestly, I am not experienced with getting gel nails. I thought the end product turned out pretty good, with the exception of a few details: I had wanted a more sheer, "clean girl" finish, but they offered no help and I ended up choosing a color that was a bit too opaque and lilac-y...also, my nails were pretty short and already shaped as I had wanted, so really the only complaint is that one of the nails (my right hand middle finger) was done about 2mm from my cuticle, so the grow out was more noticeable by the next day! The main reasons I would not recommend LUCENT are 1. Customer Service is not very good. I would expect this as this is typical of most nail salons (Asian businesses in particular - don't worry, I am Asian, too!), except in addition, even though I had made a reservation, they had one aesthetician (?) doing my nails and left me soaking my cuticles for 15+ minutes while she went to do a walk-in 3 tables down! and 2. She used an already used file/buffer to file/buff my nails that she took out of her apron, before I could object to it being used. For these two primary reasons, I would not return or recommend. As for actual end result, like I mentioned, in my limited experience [but rather perfectionist tendencies]. I would give them 4 stars if not for the poor customer service, and the lack of hygiene. If you don't care about waiting, have no expectation of customer service or communication, and aren't concerned about hygiene, then you might be happy here! read more

Lucent nails and spa does a wonderful job with my nails . The quality of their service is a 10/10. My experience however has been extremely frustrating with the appointment system. Each time I've made an appointment, I've had to wait additional 30 minutes once I come in the salon. This has happened 3 times. I have a busy life / schedule and punctuality is very important . I understand 5-10 minutes but not 30 minutes consistently. I've raised the concern verbally twice with nothing changing . Hence why the review has been posted. read more

Linda and Vicky do a great job always paying attention to detail only ever wanting to please their clients. The quality is superb and the results are amazing-looking nails every time. This is the place to go especially if you are wanting to try something new or different when it comes to designs and/or nail art (just show them pictures of what you like) - they can make it happen. Took my daughter in for her first pedicure. Her experience was okay. She had a cute little princess chair. I however had my worst pedicure of my life. My big toe got hacked! It hurt! She went way too deep and completely screwed up the shape of my big toe. I used to have a nice shape going on, but she ruined it and now I have a huge oddly shaped pocket off to the side. My daughter and I went there for a pedi and mani. They scratched my 11-year-old daughter so severely that she had to endure so much pain while they filed her nails. I had acrylic done, and three days later, one finger came off. I called, and they repaired it but showed an unprofessional attitude as if I purposely removed it. Then, a week later, three more nails were damaged. Overall, in less than two weeks, our nails look like six months old, barely hanging nail tips:) Terrible. read more

Just left here. Very dirty and bad nail technician. Had to tell the nail tech that she didn't glue the entire tip down to my nail, asked for coffin shape nails and she totally botched that, asked for REGULAR nail polish and when I asked her about it she told me it was regular polish, only to find out it was in fact gel and she conveniently charged me an extra $10.00 because of it, she also didn't clean up the extra polish around my fingers, forgot to put a top coat on one of my nails, and one of my nails is about to break and it's only been 4hrs. Every time I have gone, I have made and apt ahead of time then when I got there, I always had to wait at least 30 min. The last time I went, I got a pedicure. I asked her nicely not to cut on the sides of my toes, only file. She didn't listen and was digging and cut "my ingrown nails" and it was very painful. I asked again to PLEASE not cut my nails, then she did it again after saying she wouldn't. I was so upset and in pain! Then they rushed the pedicure and sent me on my way. Would NOT recommend. Nail technicians should not be cutting ingrown nails or messing with that. It has caused me major problems still to this day. I am pretty sure the owner is the one who did this too. I went to this salon on February 28, 2020 because I was going with a friend and this was the place she goes. I got a pedicure with paraffin wax. I get those often. As I sat in the chair, the lady doing my pedicure, jammed the tool to push back cuticles so hard into my big toe that it shot me out of the chair. She didn't say sorry but kept going. I did not get polish on my toes that day because it was not sandal weather yet. As I went to check out, it was a lot more expensive than most salons. I thought, no big deal. I will know if I come back. The next day I shot a picture of my feet to my girlfriend showing a large white line across my cuticle from her jamming it into my toe and the hack job to my big toe nails. Clearly shows the nail was damaged. Not only that but both of my feet were all rashed up. I decided never to go there again. Fast forward to today, May 27th, 3 months later....My toe nail fell off completely. It had better grow back or I may have to go for retribution. read more

Went in for a pedicure and manicure with full set. Finished my pedicure and after 20min of waiting asked when they were going to get to my nails since I had somewhere to be. I waited another 5 or so minutes and got a super rushed full set and no manicure. No cuticle clipping, no lotion, nothing. And my nails are super uneven and I am very disappointed. Only con is that they're extremely busy most of the time and even if you have an appointment you're waiting after your scheduled time. I needed a last minute manicure and decided to try this salon as I'm new to the area. They got me in with no wait! Luān did my nails and she really took her time and gave me a perfect manicure. My nails are really damaged after years of wearing acrylics but she took extra care with my nail beds and cuticles. First experience: Went with my 5 yr old to get a pedi for me and pedí/mani for her. My daughter sat on the chair with water for over 30 minutes before they started her mani/pedi. That's a looong time for a 5 yr old to sit still. Massage was not great and got the wrong color but my fault for not saying anything. I was done with my pedi and had to wait for her to be done. It wasn't a fun first time/birthday experience. Second experience: Went in to get a pedi, they use warm sugar scrubs, except the one they used on me was extremely HOT, it burned my leg. I ended up washing it off by myself because it was burning badly. I got no apologies what so ever. The person who finished my pedi completely avoided massaging my legs (both of them). I was charged full price. And no acknowledgement of what happened. Two clients even asked if I was ok, my leg was clearly red. One staff member brought me cooling gel but that was it.
