That being said, it was barely less expensive than going to another local salon. My results were horrendous. I asked for a full foil, which I have been getting for years and know how my hair is supposed to look. Well, I left orange. After 4 hours in the chair. The student who did my hair was very apologetic and nice. It really wasn't her fault. There was exactly zero oversight from the instructors. At all. I never saw one of them. At the end, when I was visibly upset over my hair, the instructor finally came over. All she said was "well, all you can do is book another appointment in 6 weeks. Nothing we can do now". As if I was supposed to walk around looking like a carrot for 6 weeks and then pay full price to likely get botched again. I ended up booking at another salon a few days later. For $30 more than this place charged, she fixed my hair in half the time. Don't go here. This is less of a hair school and more of "let's let students experiment on paying customers and pray they get it done okay". I have gone to hair schools dozens of times before and never had an experience like this.

The care the salon took to make sure we were all safe was obvious. You could not enter the salon unless you had an appointment, everyone was wearing a mask, and I witnessed someone cleaning all the surfaces after every customer. There was an empty station between every customer. Breanna P was my stylist. She was very attentive to my instructions for my cut, and gave great feedback as to how to match my current color with the long grow out that I had. She matched my color perfectly, and my cut was exactly what I asked for. She is fabulous! I wish I lived nearby so she could do my hair all the time! Breanna, if you ever move to San Diego, you must call me!!!

They take their time here--not in a slow, dragging way, but in a deliberate, detail-oriented, "we actually care what your hair looks like when you leave" kind of way. I've never gotten a bad cut here. Ever. And in a world full of rushed chain cuts and uneven fades, that's saying something. The staff is friendly, down-to-earth, and always makes you feel like you're in good hands. While I waited for my wife to finish up, they even offered me a water or a soda--which, small thing, but it says a lot. It's that kind of place. While we were there, an elderly couple came in--clearly regulars--and brought little souvenirs from a recent trip to give to each of the stylists. That kind of relationship between customers and staff tells you everything you need to know about how they treat people here. If you're anywhere near Spanish Fork and in need of a solid, reliable haircut that leaves you feeling fresh and actually seen, this is the spot.
