Waited 40 minutes for a fill, sat down and asked for them to be reshaped -- was told that's not possible (which would mean every nail tech I've worked with previously was some kind of magical, nail wizard. The 3 of us walked right in mid Saturday and got seated right away. I'm not sure if it was good luck or what. They weren't too busy, for the first half hour. A young boy who's parents own the place started on my sister. While we watched he was only 15. He was very meticulous and did a great job. He even put up with our many questions. This place charged me $95 for french tip acrylics with one coat of chrome, which was more than the man initially quoted me when I told him what I wanted. I told her that and she still said no...$95. I always hesitate leaving poor reviews for small businesses. I would leave a one star for the price, rude and abrasive service, and the trump hat on the wall, but my nails do look good. read more

Royal Nails gets it right every single time. I will gladly drive any distance to let these amazing people treat me well and make my nails look amazing. I have short nails and I tend to have the worst, dry, horrible, disgusting cuticles. (how even do you take care of these things anyway?) The winter wreaks havoc on my poor hands and nails. Then in comes Royal Nails. They fix me right up and get my hands and nails in perfect condition. They're fast, and extremely detail oriented. How many times have you left a salon and found that they missed the entire side of your nail? Too many for me to count. My manicurist would not let me leave until he viewed my nails from every angle. The level of care here is definitely the reason I continue to return. They really care about making sure you leave happy. I love this place and I don't think I'll step foot in another salon unless I'm like... in another state. Even then I'd probably fly here just for the manicures. What can I say? Sadly this salon has really gone down. I called this midday to ask for two pedis early evening at another preferred salon, but they were fully booked. Wanting to stay in Provo, I called Royal Nails. They said they could take us at the time we requested. When we arrived, we were asked to wait on the sofa. Not another customer was there. One staff person was talking on a phone via her blue tooth. The man started both pedi tubs and called us over. The woman staff person continued to talk on her call through 3/4 of my daughters gel pedi. The man, who worked on my toenails, was not gentle, and pushed and tugged on my feet. Neither ever said a word to us, but chattered to each other in Their language after she finally got off of her call. No other Customer ever walked in by 5:45. I understand why. $55 each later we each had a "semi" pedi that included about a 30 second leg rub (no lotion) and no hot wax, no salt rub, no warm washcloth on our feet, no oil - only toe area trims, pumice scrubs on heels, and gel paint. My friend and I came here during finals because we needed a break. My roommate actually got a pedi earlier that day and she was the one who referred us here. She was raving about it, which is what made me wanna come! So this was both our first pedicures ever! And we loved it! Absolutely loved it!!! First, we got seated right away, soaked our feet, and got massages in the really new massage chairs. I had Tony and my friend had Kim. They are a family business and are so cute and friendly. We talked the whole time they gave the pedis. Tony recommended a good color for me and I loved it. He was very thorough and my feet feel so much smoother and look amazing! Do not come here. The service was horrible! I called in before to try to get an estimated time and the person on the phone said "I don't know, we aren't busy". Very unprofessional. When I got there they sat me down where I continued to wait 35 minutes to have my nails started on. I had just asked for a gel manicure. When I was on the phone they had said it was $20 and their sign says $20 for gel color. I paid $35 without a tip at the end! The conditions where unsanitary and unprofessional with how they took off my old gel. The employees are rude and watch tv while they do your nails and don't pay attention. The owner of this place was so rude to me. I sat down and was trying to tell him what I would like and how much it would be he told me 95 dollars for a simple gel color with coffin shape. So I told him that I would need to do something more cost friendly and I ended up paying 85 dollars anyway! never going there AGAIN. read more

I had such a weird experience.. I was in town for the weekend and was so excited to get a good pedicure! I called in to make an appt and they said they only do walk ins. The staff was really pushy and demanding.. I went in wanting to get a full set and a pedicure done. They told me to sit down in the chair the moment they heard pedicure and then got mad because I hadn't picked a color.. I wasn't happy with the pedicure, they sort of rushed it and hurt me multiple times. When it was time to get the full set they wanted me to step on the floor with my bare feet (something they NEVER make me do anywhere else). Comparing to other places I've been it looked less sanitary as well when it came do how they did the pedicure. By seeing their pedicure job I decided to not get my nails done and go to another place instead. I took my girlfriend here last month to get her nails done. The gentleman, Victor, did a very good job and he was very meticulous on making sure her nails looked great. $40.00 for a manicure with gel nails. Is that a good price? I have no idea. The only downfall I found of this place was that they were severely understaffed, we waited about an hour to get her nails done. They don't take appointments so I think in the future I will take my girlfriend to a place that does so. read more

I do not like a salon or any place for that matter where the staff spend more time talking to each other in their native tongue, than to me the customer in mine. (one can not help but think they are talking about you) The owner of this salon is a cranky old guy who never smiles or is friendly. The pedicures are just very ho hum. Went to this nail salon about two weeks ago. I made an appointment for 3:30 and they didn't get to me until 4:45. They have posted on the wall how much a full set and any other details would cost. After asking for a simple design and other solid colors, I was shocked to find out I would be charged $75 for a set that was supposed to be $45 max (according to their wall posting of prices). One week later, 3 of my nails popped off. I am not hard on my nails and never purposefully break them off. These were simply done poorly and rushed. Now, 2 weeks later they have ALL broken off. Worst customer service as I asked and showed a photo of nails I've been getting done for multiple years. As he began I stated my length and he cut shorter. He started to file more and more off my nails. As I became upset/emotional I was verbally attacked for stating what I wanted. Humiliated because I was emotional over the fact That the nails after the pinky looked like a chicken claw nail. As other customers and my own child, who I was paying for a $30 pedicure for, heard over the embarrassment and humiliation that was being given to me. Rip off! I won't be going back...ever. I went with 2 friends and my 5 year old daughter for a mani/pedi on a Saturday afternoon. There wasn't a single person in the place when we walked in; which should have been a sign. My 5 year old was done before the rest of us and they charged me $60 for her gel mani/pedi....$60 for 30 minutes on a 5 year old! My mani/pedi was $40. When I questioned the price multiple times, all they did was repeat the price back to me. My friend, who did the exact same mani/pedi I did was charged $45 and my other friend who only got a pedi because they took too long was charged $25. If you do end up at Royal Nails, confirm the price before they do any work. I will not be going back. Ever. read more

They have very comparable prices to other places in the area and they do a decent set of nails if you are doing acrylics. The reason they are only getting 2 stars is because I had the worst pedicure of my life their, it was super weird and the massage made me want to ask the lady to stop. Where do I start......I made an appointment for a pedicure. Got there on time and then waited for 45 minutes before there was even anybody to help me. They then have me a terrible pedicure that was short, unprofessional and there was absolutely nothing special about it. If you can get a seat, the pedicure is good. However, I've shown up several times and there was an hour long wait. The owner/manager is a man that is not friendly at all and he doesn't care if you stay or go. Today I tried to call and let them know I was coming in 30 minutes. He said I could try but no guarantee. There might be something available and might not... I confirmed "So you don't take appointments?" And he said "Not right now." He didn't even suggest a different time. Very rude - poor customer service. No one there seems happy to be working there either. The second time I went there, they sat me down in a chair with the water running and waited 25 minutes before anyone looked at me. Then a girl came and started my toes, but then walked away and disappeared. After 15 minutes of sitting there I asked the technician next to my chair if my person was going to come back or not. She looked at me rudely and told me someone else would be coming to finish.
