Was super nervous to go here after reading all the bad review's and seeing the horrible painful looking pictures, I decided to give it a shot because I was desperate. I'm so glad that I didn't listen to what was said on here because Helen has done an amazing job every single damn time doing my nails and actually listens to what I want. She takes her time and notices every single detail that may or may not needs to be fixed, without me having to point it out. AND... when I had my little girl come in for a polish, Helen literally made my daughter feel like she was getting the whole package done on her nails. I can't believe how horrible of a nail job I received here. Went in for a fill and she was super aggressive cutting me several times including separating my natural nail from my finger. The acrylic is stuck to EVERY finger on the side, I've spent an hour trying to pull my skin away from the nails. I could have done a better job myself. Then she decided to shape and file my nails AFTER she put the gel polish on which just made them look ridiculous. I'm not one to complain at businesses, I brush it off and figure they had a bad day. Ok...normally I absolutely love getting pedicures at Royal. I tell everyone they are the best around. But not today. The lady was very sweet, but was giving me "pressure therapy" on my feet and calves and it HURT SO BAD!!! I was telling her that it hurt and she would smile and laugh and say that's good and ask if I could feel it in my head. I don't want to feel anything in my head when I'm getting a darn pedicure!!!! I wanted the feet and leg massage....my favorite part of the pedicure....but no, I was given pressure therapy that I didn't ask for and she wouldn't stop when I said it hurt. Nail tech didn't speak English. When I went to pay she just stared at me not saying anything so I proceeded to pay the posted amount + $5 tip. Thanked them and left. A worker ran out after me apparently I didn't pay the extra $15 for the gel nails. But instead of telling me that I paid the wrong amount - he told me that he thought he was going to have to fight someone. Really unprofessional experience. The man who removed my shellac took off half of my nail bed with his grinding tool, charged me twenty dollars on top of the five for shellac removal to give me a manicure that was sloppy and drew blood. He didn't clean the tools he used after and his hands smelled like cigarette smoke. I was not happy with the result and my nail polish chipped the next day. I will not be going back! read more

This salon is the worst I have ever been to. I walked in at 1230p asked for a gel manicure. The lady said it wouldn't be a long wait. Then after a 30min wait she wouldn't do a manicure but only polish. THEN, I couldn't have the color I chose bc it was being used. My aunt and I decided to take a spa day and get pedicures so we googled local nail salons and found Royal. After showing up a little early to our appointments, I noticed the shop was a little busy but we were acknowledged immediately and our pedi chairs were prepped. We picked out our colors and got seated and ready to be pampered. One tech started working with my aunt and I settled in to my massage chair. I saw that each staff member was busy with a customer but that some were closer to being finished. Still I wasn't even close to feeling that we were waiting or inconvenienced. When a couple of the patrons were being checked out, my aunt's tech had to be called away for a very short time (which was understandable and completely acceptable). The owner approached my aunt and apologized for the wait. My aunt and I were in agreement that there really was no inconvenience and that everything was completely fine. My tech arrived and our pedicures carried on with no interruptions. The techs were very attentive and skilled; we were pampered and massaged and our feet turned out great. When we left we talked about how great this little shop is; for the owner to be as busy as she was to take the time to be sure that we were ok, even though we didn't feel the least bit inconvenienced, that was exceptional customer service! Our toes are great and we felt amazing! Great results and exceptional customer service! Definitely will recommend Royal! read more

While my mother had Tran as her nail tech and received excellent service, I had Johnny for my pedicure. Not only were my nails filed unevenly with sharp corners, when I asked him to fix it he was incredibly rude. By far the worst pedicure and customer service I have ever received. There is a man here who does an absolutely wonderful job on nails! However, I would not go here for nails unless you have him do them. I have always enjoyed the pedicures from here, but the owner is completely unprofessional. When I went to have my nails done, the owner (who worked on me) was very upset that I did not want extensions, but just my natural nails done. She would not let me pick the color and the whole time I sat there she told me how horrible my nails were and how terrible they looked. She did a terrible job and left my nails a mess with nail polish all over my skin, out of frustration of something I was born with. Bully... Went in for an acrylic full and French paint. She hurt me a couple of times during the filing and I do not really like the way they look. Sort of bumpy Told her I wanted paint not gel. She put gel on anyway and charged me extra for gel. She charged me also extra for French tip. It should have been 15 for full and 5 for French but she charged me 25. I went there ONLY because my usual nail girl could not get me in earlier. I went for fills with gel polish. My "nail tech" was NOT friendly at all! When he was all done, I showed him the side of the nails (5 in total) that he missed, thinking he would fix them no worries. I finally made up my mind and decided to go to Royal Nail Salon & Spa. I'm from California and I was super hesitant because I'm super picky about how my nails are done. They charged me $15 for a fill which is the same out there and the guy there did a great job! However I wanted pink with black French tips and I guess because I have long oval/stiletto nails they wanted to charge $10 extra! Insane! I wanted a pedicure too and when I asked it was $25! The heck! I always pay less than $18 in California are they gonna wrap my feet in gold or something? Crazy prices. I think I'll come with my nails done and feet done in California instead of coming back again:/ they're too pricey. Might be because they're the only nail salon in town.
