Any time we're in Utah, we make a point to get our haircuts at Just Your Style in Spanish Fork. It's that good. They take their time here--not in a slow, dragging way, but in a deliberate, detail-oriented, "we actually care what your hair looks like when you leave" kind of way. I've never gotten a bad cut here. Ever. And in a world full of rushed chain cuts and uneven fades, that's saying something. The staff is friendly, down-to-earth, and always makes you feel like you're in good hands. While I waited for my wife to finish up, they even offered me a water or a soda--which, small thing, but it says a lot. It's that kind of place. While we were there, an elderly couple came in--clearly regulars--and brought little souvenirs from a recent trip to give to each of the stylists. We went to Just Your Style to fix a bad haircut. We walked right in just to see about scheduling an appointment and they were able to take us right away. We noticed instantly the clean modern decor. We were texting the owner beforehand and she noticed we were there and wanted to address all our concerns and she was very sweet. Kim fixed my mom's haircut and we were impressed at the questions she'd asked to make sure she cut the hair in a style that was convenient for every day wear. For example: she asked how often I washed my hair to determine what products to recommend. Kim even gave recommendations on haircuts. We didn't have to have a picture going in. Very professional! They did my haircut quite well so that's why there's two stars instead of one. I asked to get a stripe bleached here and it seems I got someone whom was quite new. I was nervous at first about it, but I assumed she knew what she was doing. I was proven wrong. I went to a salon since I didnt trust myself to bleach it at home, but the front of the stripe I asked for is splotchy and one part of my hair didn't even get bleached evenly since she last minute decided to try bleaching an extra piece to make it more straight. I'm personally very annoyed that I had to pay $100 to get a job that I will have to fix at home since I'm embarrassed to go out in public with it without a hat on :/ read more

Summary: What nail salon doesn't have functioning nail clippers? For your information: I am probably the most low-maintence, easy going person on this earth. So, this review is saying something. After my sister and I showed up to this salon (we had called ahead) and awkwardly watched the employees debate as to who actually had to serve us, we were taken to the back of the salon to get two manicures done. My stylist, made multiple complaints (throughout the whole service, honestly) about her equipment, the smell of the chemicals, and appeared to be fairly negative in general. She checked her phone multiple times and seemed more concerned about her upcoming lunch than most anything else. She didn't ask me what I wanted, past having me pick a shellac color, and started filing my super-long nails. I awkwardly had to ask her if there was a way for me to use nail clippers to cut back my nails. She then pulled out the rustiest, old-looking nail clippers. She quickly became frustrated with them and chose to use some acrylic nail clippers on my natural nails. These "nail" clippers shattered my nails into jagged messes that this lady filed after the fact in an attempt to get the tips smooth again. Not only were my nails not straight, but the edges were still pretty rough. And, sadly, she managed to miss the sides/edges of a couple of my nails. I honestly wanted to have a good time and I'm really not a snob or too picky of a person. But it was really hard to enjoy my experience when every moment I was there, I was wishing I had gone somewhere else. Disclaimer: My sister had her nails done by the manager that was on shift. Very friendly service! We went on a Friday night and had to get reservations for pedicures. The nail color selection for shellac paint was limited, but I found something I liked. If you're looking for a posh experience this wouldn't be the place, but it was fun and relaxing with how friendly the service was. I would definitely go back. read more

I traveled 45 minutes to this salon because it won an award and I was feeling desperate. I have fine hair and it's naturally loosely curly. I struggled with flat hair on top and too much volume at the ends. I came in asking for a perm, and if that didn't work, a pixie cut for top volume. It's not what I wanted, but I was desperate for some better hair. Angela said she knew just what to do with textured hair because of her experience with a variety of ethnicities. She convinced me to just try a different kind of hair cut and she would teach me to style, rather than go too dramatic. I'm thankful. It really worked. The best part is: she did what was best for me, even if it meant less money. She would have made much more money on a perm. Instead, she gave me the hair I wanted for half the price. Wow. read more

My little girl keeps giving herself her own haircuts and when they get "fixed" at Just Your Style she comes out looking better than before and gets compliments everywhere. I've been there a few times and it's always horribly customer service. The employees talk amongst themselves like you aren't even there even though they are doing work on you. My brother had his hair done by the owner, which you would think would be the most knowledgable, not only does his hair looks horrible, but there are blisters on his scalp from bleach. He was in tears when he got home. Since the salon was closed we couldn't go back to get it fixed. We went to the salon at JCPenny at Provo Towne Center and Megan was able to fix it, she was amazing! A bummer he had to pay someone else to fix a mistake of a salon owner. There are a lot of great places to go but this is not one of them. Don't waste your time and money. Go somewhere else to get it right the first time and have better customer service. read more

I went home with very obvious green moss colored hair for Mother's Day after hurried attempts were made to cover a disastrous rainbow hairstyle with steel grey ends. The tech thought her process would blend so well with dark gray roots I wanted to retain. It resulted in three horizontal obvious color differences ending with steel grey ends. I was shocked and sick after sitting through this lengthy process with Angela. The owner referred to her as one of her best but far far from it. With a bad attitude, she raced to figure out how she can fix the bad coloring I strongly disliked.. Green hair confirmed by family and more hair techs = wrong toner used on client! Never ever again. Schedule with Vanessa or not at all. Monday morning, I sought another salon to fix my green haze and correct the hair cut. I found the most wonderful tech at a local chain salon who readily accepted the challenge with her expertise to repair my hair color as well as fix the crooked cut left on the backside, discovered when I tilted my head back. It was at least 2 inches longer on one side opposite my colic. The new tech at Sams spent 3+ hours with me, never leaving my side during any process to ensure there will be no further damage or wrong color developing. She was never anxious or pressured to try to 'fix it fast' as Just Your Style tried, leaving me to sit or wait for another tech to assist. She was empathetic and caring with expertise, wiping green coloring from my strands where she performed highlights to rid the green hair coloring before my travel. I could not have paid her enough for her sweet, caring help needed after leaving Just Your Style days before. They are NOT the best salon in Utah County when two of their supposedly 'best techs' produced horrible results within two years. The owner DOES not put customers first nor verify client results. Even the receptionist said it looked fine after I called back about green hair which everyone, including myself, readily noticed after leaving the salon. Obviously, she never looked very well and only wanted to pacify me because I was told there was no one to help resolve nor cared to help the following week. They just wanted me to go away and I did, with a refund. Thankfully, I found a knowledgeable, caring hair specialist at Sams who happily worked diligently to resolve my trouble and inconvenience created at Just Your Style. What a blessing and loving heart of gold. I would suggest Just Your Style better communicate exactly what they are going to do to a customer and what the expected hair result will be before wasting a customer's time and have the owner give a care when results are bad for their customer. read more

I had made a 12 o'clock appointment - as j knew a Saturday morning would be busy. I came in precisely on time and the manager rudely smacked her gum and asked what j wanted. I patiently waited 30 minutes, and watched as several walk ins went before me. 5 to be exact. Looking back I should've left after waiting 10 minutes. 4/20/2013 NEVER AGAIN!!! We have used Just Your Style many times in the past, and have had great service, but did not have a good experience this time. My daughter was scheduled for a cut, blow dry and style for her prom. My daughter appt was for 12:00pm, but could not arrive until 12:20pm. The stylist told me that if she didn't arrive in 10 minutes she would cancel her appt, because her next appt. was 1:45pm, and she was not going to be running behind. I understood this, but the stylist was very rude. My daughter showed up with her hair already washed, so he stylist did not have to wash it. I told the stylist that I wanted two inched cut off, blow dried and styled in long curls. I left, then came back to pick up my daughter. The hair was styled, but not very well. When i asked about the cut, the stylist told me she didn't have time to cut her hair.. Then while checking out I asked about purchasing a hair spray for everyday use. The stylist didn't seem at all interested in suggesting a product. Sad, because I would have bought any product she would have recommended, because I also needed a good hairspray. The cost for a blow dry and style was $30.00 which is a fair price, but not for a bad styling job that fell out within one hour.!!!!
