Do yourself a favor and don't eat here. The last time I went to lumber Jack's was about a month ago. I was seated fast enough but the waitress didn't return to take our orders for probably another 10-15 minutes, and the restaurant was only half full. I ordered rib eye my wife ordered chicken fried steak and we ordered chicken strips for my son. When I ordered my steak I said that I would like it on the rare side. My son's chicken strips came first and I started to cut them up for him because he is only 2 years old. Immediately when I started to cut the chicken open I noticed it was completely raw, not a little pink either.....seriously not cooked at all. I immediately called back the waitress and she whisked the plate without saying anything at all. Another batch of chicken strips came out and they were totally fine. Next was my steak. It arrived looking soggy and grey. I cut it open and it was also completely raw. It looked like it had been in the pan for probably 2-3 minutes. The waitress brought my wife's chicken fried steak out and when she saw me cutting my steak she gasped and took it away. When she returned with my steak it was still raw. My wife was scared to even touch her meal and we decided to leave. So i had to pay them 46$ for a ruined evening. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for breakfast a couple of days ago.. We were surprised how packed they were at 10:00am on a weekday. Anyway, I had blueberry pancakes, bacon, and home fries which were all really good. For some reason it's hard to find good pancakes and these were good! (if a little on the sweet side) My boyfriend's spinach omelet was good too. Will definitely go back next time I'm craving breakfast. read more

Great breakfasts especially the omlets. Had a super ribeye steak there yesterday. Juicy, perfectly cooked, big and tasty! Took a third of it home. Service is prompt, people very friendly and prices competitive and good for what you get. Best breakfast in town for sure. read more

Stepped promptly, loved the food each time we visit. Really like the Beef Tostada Omelet and the Steak salad with blue cheese. Also, have had the rib-eye dinner, cooked just as requested. So very tender, almost melted in my mouth.... Excellent, and a great value. read more

A friend of ours recommended this place. We had a party of six, and were told the wait was 15-20 minutes, yea, right? After waiting 30 minutes, the hostess told us they had intentionally bypassed us to accommodate a larger party. She said it wouldn't be much longer. After another 15-20 minute wait, they finally had a table for us. They put us in a section that only had 1 waitress working it, and she was very slow and had no people skills. We ordered omelettes, hotcakes, and scrambled eggs. After waiting another 15-20 minutes, we finally got our food. I can honestly tell you that I've seen and tasted better food at Denny's. This was my first and last time in this place, and if I could give it less than 1 star, I would....Don't waste your time going to this place. You can do much better at Mcdonald's! read more

I had the fruit cup and toast with a side order of bacon. Hubby had biscuits and gravy with an egg. The fruit was half over-ripe. I was hoping for fresh California fruit, but it was more like your local grocery store cut fruit bowl. Hubby liked his breakfast and the service and atmosphere were very nice. read more

My first visit was a couple of weeks before Christmas, we had a wonderful meal and the waitress was a little nervous because it was her first day, she was very friendly and helpful. I did notice that the other young ladies that worked there seemed to have their own little click that this poor girl was not a part of, it was very obvious. The food was wonderful and I was really impressed with our waitress. Her name was Dawn. I mentioned to my husband that I am going to call the manager and let him know that Dawn was a very good waitress. We returned the next week and she was working, she remembered us and what we had eaten. Of course we were impressed. The other waitresses were not as friendly and tended to group together talking and ignored the patrons that were ready to pay. We decided to return the week before Christmas and Dawn was there, we asked to be in her section. We got to talking to her and she mentioned she was concerned that she was going to be let go. This worried us because I felt she was really working hard to please everyone. Well, last night we decided to have dinner at Lumberjacks again and found out that Dawn no longer worked there, ...These idiots fired her! From what I observed there she was not a part of their little click! I will never darken their door in this lifetime, in fact I am going to let everyone I know what happened. On the 1st of July 2013 my wife and I went in for Breakfast around 9 am. we were seat right away. a after about 10 minutes of waiting the same person that sat us seated another person and walked away. Then three minutes later she walked right back up to the same guy and asked him if he was ready to order, he was not so then she walked over to our table and took our order. when the food came my scramble skillet was good but it did not have very much meat in it, it was mostly potatoes. my wife's over medium eggs where good but for some strange reason there was onion under them. It may have been just me but I like to have my water refilled while I am eating, but the waitress did not return to the table until we were done eating, then she said how was everything and put the check on the table, then she walked away. the bad thing about this is she expected a tip for this, I left her one, I figured when I got up to the register to pay the person there would ask how my for and service was, but no, it was she looked at the check and asked for the money, then she sent me on my way. I can go to a fast food restaurant and get better service than this. Thanks will find another restaurant to eat at. read more

I have had breakfast here every day since arriving in town. The food is good, portions are more than adequate and the staff members have been as nice and helpful as could be. The coffee was good and the wait staff checked on us constantly to be sure our needs were met. read more

I went here with my family on Friday night and it was really nice to see them doing a fundraiser and the servers willing to give their tips up to a good cause as well. We were greeted at the door right away and it was nice to be so promptly sat. Our server Shawna was great and took care if us even after she went on her break, she introduced us to Sarah to take care of us while she was on break. I ordered a philly cheesesteak with beef vegatable soup and my boyfriend had a steak fajita wrap with fries and mac and cheese for our daughter. Our dinner was beyond excellent, made even more so excellent by the service. The manager, who I believe name is Eddie, came by our table and made sure we were all taken care of. It was really nice to see such great teamwork by everybody that took care of me and my family, the attentiveness was through the roof. This wasn't the first time I have eaten at Lumberjacks, nor will it be my last, this is however my first time writing a review of a place whose employees and establisment deserve more than 3 stars because everytime we go in to eat, we are always taken care of. First morning of our vacation. Hungry, looking for a great breakfast place. Impressed with their fun motif. Laughed at the terrible menu photos. Seriously, made the food appear so unappetizing! The server was very nice, took our order, delivered our drinks right away. Took a few sips of my iced tea, commented that it tasted a little rancid, when all if a sudden...a huge shriveled COCKROACH COMES FLOATING UP to the top of my tea! Didn't know whether to laugh or throw up! Mostly I just tried to resist the strong temptation to spit as I am a proper lady....well most of the time. Needless to say, didn't wait for the food. I did spit...but waited to find a private place in the parking lot. My husband found the whole thing rather amusing. Washed the cockroach out if my mouth with a familiar cup of Starbucks mocha. So I have already broken my cardinal rule of vacationing which is to only eat at new and unfranchised establishments. Now, what's for lunch?! read more

Went a few weeks ago on a Sunday early evening. The place was not busy. Service was slow and the waitress was not attentive. I wanted a to go box for my bread, but just ended up wrapping it in a napkin when we couldn't get the waitress (it was just for the dogs but still). I was there with my mom and daughter. Mom ordered the turkey off the senior's menu, but wanted a salad too. The waitress should have pointed out that it would have cost less and she would get more if she had just ordered the regular turkey dinner. We discovered it when we got the bill. I split a steak and potato with my daughter. The highlight was the potato. The steak was very lack luster, little flavor or seasoning, and over done. I normally would not have ordered it, but my daughter has very limited food options due to health issues, and this seemed safest. I might come back for breakfast, but I wont be back for dinner. For the money, Denny's or Black Bear would have been better. The place is clean and the décor is fun, but our very rare girls night out dinner was lack luster. read more

Not my favorite restaurant, but we have been there a few times and it's okay, food is like any other typical restaurant type food, nothing really special that stands out. They have recently done a nice job on their remodel. It is much cleaner! We went there for breakfast and had a good meal, the server was very nice and took great care of us, although she seemed a bit tense after being pulled aside by a male subject in a blue shirt, who seemed to be getting on her over silverware and how she was doing her job, we thought it to be very unprofessional for him to be attacking her in the manner that he did, especially in front of other people ~ probably something that could have been handled at a different time and in an office. My wife and our guest both work in a restaurant and commented on how unprofessional that was and how embarrassed the server must have felt. We felt she did a really good job considering and she seemed to be just as attentive to the other tables around us. This ended up being a topic in our discussion tonight, and the reason I chose to write about it. We live in the local area, so more than likely, we will probably be back, on occasion. read more
