Came for lunch (walked from hotel around the corner) while it was raining... Delicious food (poke nachos!) Great mai tai. Fabulous service all around - especially from our main server Markie! Tends to be loud here, so I was nervous about how my kiddo would like it. Markie was super sweet and helped me keep my 4 year old entertained and happy- she was a natural kid-pleaser. Been coming here for well over a decade, today was the last day ever. Management is the worst. My wife and I ordered two full breakfast meals, a $15 smoothie and a coffee. The coffee was undrinkable it was so bad, like there was something really wrong with it. Rather than complain, she just went next door and got two coffee drinks to go and brought them back over. The hostess let us know there were no outside beverages allowed, I pointed out we already bought two drinks and just wanted a coffee that wasn't terrible. She said the manager would come over. Manager said: 1) they know the coffee is terrible but they "don't control it". It's the beans, comes from some outside vendor, blah blah, made up stuff. What restaurant doesn't control their own coffee? 2) they are forbidden by regulations from allowing outside drinks, liquor laws or some other nonsense. I used AI, and then read the restaurant and liquor laws ... he just made that up, it's not true. No regulation whatsoever on outside non-alcoholic drinks by any authority over them. We asked for our food to go and will never be back. It's not that they didn't want to allow outside drinks, their property, their right, it's that the person running the restaurant just goes straight to lying. No reason to lie, and if they lie about that what else do they lie about? Ingredients? Hygiene? Food preparation safety? read more

The food was amazing! And our server Paulina was incredible. Super sweet and despite it being extremely busy we got our food perfectly prepared and very fast. Same with our drinks. The food was delicious! I highly recommend and ask for Paulina if she's working! The bar has live music most nights and is really lively and fun on the Wednesday night we visited. read more

Sunday, 7/27/2025 - Ate lunch at Lulus Waikiki restaurant. Address is 2586 Kalakaua Ave., Honolulu, HI 96815. This is right on the strip with all the shopping stores, across from the beach. It's on the 2nd floor with a nice view to wakiki beach. You do need to walk up some stairs. I didn't check if there was an elevator. Parking is kinda hard if you go on the weekend. Upon arrival... Pros 1) staffs were very nice. You must wait to get seated. The hostess was nice. 2) I saw there was a bar and TVs at the bar area. Plenty of tables and chairs. Lots of people eating there. There's lots of fan above going blowing air on you. 3) water tasted good. Drinks good. But the lemonade had a funky after taste. We didn't like it. 4) our foods were all good. Bbq chicken wings slather with hot sauce was perfect. Chips with beef were crunchy and good. Ahi Poke dish was good. Burger & Fries was good. 5) our server checked on in us several times. She even brought us a big jug of ice water so we can refill our water cups. 6) you need a key to unlock bathroom. The keys were hanging to the left wall on your way to the bathroom. There is a sign. If you blink, you'll miss where the key is. 7) our server was very nice. 8) they had a photographer and he took our pictures. If you buy the picture by itself, it's $10 per picture. If you buy it with the covering, it's $15. They do print the pictures right away. Cons 1) our waitress forgot to refill our coke cups. I had to remind her. 2) Conclusion Great place. Great beach view. Good thing for the ceiling fans. We were all getting stuck to our shirts. It was humid today. Staffs were very nice and professional. They were easy to chat with. Foods good. Drinks good. Except for the lemonade. We like this restaurant. read more

Lulu's was a total surprise and I can't stop raving over our dinner there last night. We met friends at Tiki's next door to it to meet up with friends but then decided to meet up with their family who were eating at Lulu's. I honestly didn't know it was there and upon arriving saw that it's a sports bar restaurant figuring we'd be sadly eating bar food. Boy was I wrong! The menu was fantastic and I settled on the Hawaiian style butterfish. OMG! It was cooked to perfection the bok choy was perfect the carrots the miso sauce and the garlic mashed potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the garlic shrimp peel and eat which was to die for though mine was still by far the best order at that table! lol. My girlfriend had a great Caesar, her husband a burger and everyone at the table had nothing but praise. I can't get back there soon enough planning already for next week! It is loud, it's a bar but there was a wonderful singer who sang and played her guitar that was at the perfect sound level, the staff is attentive and on it! The atmosphere is lively, relaxed, and welcoming, making it a great spot to hang out whether you're grabbing a meal or staying awhile. The food did not disappoint--the Lulu's Loco Moco and the fried rice were absolutely delicious, full of flavor and true comfort food favorites. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and a special shout-out to Hailey, who truly made our visit all the more memorable with her great energy and excellent service.
