Omg omg omg! You must try Lulu's Pie Shoppe in Georgetown's town square. Have you ever been eating a dessert that was sooooooooooo good you can't wait to eat it again? That happened to me yesterday. I bought cherry bourbon pie (one of the most popular pots) that I shared with my friend. I'n addition, I bought a chocolate scone for Sunday morning breakfast. The cherry pie was robust with a flaky buttery crust...so addicting. The scone was the best scone I've ever eaten. Most scones are hard and this one was not. It was soft and exploding with chocolate...in every bite, By the time we got to the bakery shop, all cookies were all sold out...probably due to the Red Poppy festival. This place was SOLID. We stopped by while visiting from Houston, and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the orange muffin and my husband got the key lime cheesecake... and WOW. Both were absolutely DELIGHTFUL. But honestly, what made the experience stand out was the service. I'm not sure if the sweet woman helping us was the owner or Lulu herself, but she was an absolute gem. She gave us great recommendations and even warmed up the orange muffin in the oven for us, which took it to a whole other level. And let me tell you... that orange muffin was TOP TIER. Moist, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. It was so good I had to buy more -- one for later and another for my dad to try when we get back home. The shop itself is super cute, the vibe is cozy, and you can tell they really care about what they're serving. I bought my husband a piece of dark fudge brownie pie. A not on the packaging said to heat it up; he did and holy cow! It was PHENOMENAL! Such deep, rich chocolate flavor and very creamy. I looking at their site I cannot find the chocolate brownie pie. Too bad because I'd like to buy my husband a whole version. The staff were great and friendly. Came here the day before, the day before Thanksgiving without a pre order, to see if they had any extras just laying around.. I know I know, but the Mrs was a little indecisive... all they had available was the Vegan, gluten free peach.... Whenever I hear vegan and gluten free, I hear tasteless cardboard... but the big day came, and I warmed up the crustless pie as directed, and much to my surprise, it was moist, delicious and full of flavor! Before I start, there's an app I use that got me some random items from this store. Since it's random, it could contain anything, including items which may affect any allergies you have. The app disclaims this. First off, I was asked if I had any allergies. (But the app says you may get items you are allergic to.) So this automatically made me rate this place a 5. Above and beyond expectations gets you this rating. The ladies behind the counter were amazing! These treats were delicious! I am deliberately not telling you the app because I don't need more competition to grab items from here. Haha! My husband is a cookie snob and only likes crispy cookies. Their cookies are the best of both worlds. He's a fan and wanted more than initially shared with him. Our son and him split it and I tried 1 bite. It's a cute lil shop with items to to purchase and of course pies! The pie selection was kind of small so it seemed the pie slices were being sold pretty quickly. I decided on the peach blueberry pie and two slices of the mixed berry cinnamon cake (one for my sis). I took it home to eat later and the pie was so delicious heated up. Very yummy flavor and the crust was nice and crisp. The mixed berry cinnamon cake was awesome as well with thick layers of berry, cake, and cinnamon topping. The pie and cake were also very pleasing in appearance. The shop owner was nice and helpful. The prices were a little high in my opinion...$7 for a slice of pie and $7 for the cake. Most bakeries I buy slices of pie from cost $5-$6. However, I would definitely go back and try some of the other pie selections. read more

The pies here are great! The crust is like your grandmother made. Flaky, light, and buttery.... yum! Tried the bourbon cherry, key lime and peanut butter. I came here with my family because my father-in-law is in love with their Cherry Bourbon pie and had ordered an entire pie for pick-up. The shop is super cute and has fun little gifts you can buy. I ordered the Peanut Butter Pie and Lemon Meringue Pie both of which were delicious! The peanut butter pie was very rich, which my husband and I loved and the brittle on top was very good. The lemon meringue was also good, but I wish the crust was a little thicker on the piece I got. It was butter and flaky, I just wish there was more of it. We got three options and in all of them the crust tasted so stale- either all shortening or freezer- that none of us finished our slices. Our favorites are the coconut cream pie but even more so, the bourbon cherry, which is a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and the crust is so flaky. It is heaven in your mouth and stomach. After visiting two other pie places on the square I walked into this place. I asked if they had any full pies and they only had a bourbon pecan pie. Seeing disappointment in my eyes, the owner asked what I was looking for? Key lime pie was the answer. She asked a few questions and said she could have 1 made for my by 1:30. We had the most fantastic piece of Apple pie I have ever eaten. To be honest, I love pie but apple is not my favorite. The day we stopped in they had been really busy & only had a few pieces of pie left to sell. The pieces are BIG and really full of fresh fruit. I honestly could not believe how many slices of apple were in this piece of pie. The crust was really good. We bought it to take home so it was chilled. It was such a nice day we ended up sitting outside and just ate it cold. I think the crust would be really flaky if we had heated it up but it was just yummy -- super yummy -- cold. Again, Apple is not my favorite but I think Lulu's Pie Shoppe may have changed my mind! When we go back we will try the Cherry Pie - two people sitting outside were devouring theirs & could not say enough great things about it.
