I used this company a few months ago to move and they were wonderful. I was only moving the contents of my apt into a moving truck but It was a great, fast, and professional move. They were really informative even before the day of the move, suggesting what size truck to get and any other supplies I should have ready. Day of the move they showed up early, got right to work and were really great, pleasant guys the whole time they were lugging my belongs down a flight of stairs! I no longer live in the Bay Area but I would certainly use Lulu's Hauling if i were to move again in the bay! read more

THE BEST MOVERS EVER! Daniel, Patrick and Jose moved us yesterday (10.8.12) and were amazingly fast, professional and they even finished below their estimate! They showed up on time, inspected all the furniture carefully and packed everything with great care. They broke down and reassembled several of our bigger furniture pieces, and put them back together in better shape than they were before! We couldn't be more thrilled. Honestly, our house was a bit of a challenge with lots of stairs and hills, and we were shocked and how hard and fast these guys worked. And they were super nice the whole time. There was a misunderstanding with our neighbor over where they could park their truck, but given the narrow, steep streets in our neighborhood, there was no choice but to block a driveway for half an hour! During that time, the driver moved the truck out of the way to allow our neighbor in and out of the driveway. Our movers handled the situation very well. Oh, and Daniel came over a week before our move and did a really thorough walk-thru of our house to give us a trustworthy estimate. He was excellent. Thank you Lulus!!!! read more

This was the third time I've used Lulu's Hauling. Dennis, the owner, was extremely cordial over the phone. We gave him very short notice (roughly 3 days) but he still fit us into his schedule, even considering his crews were almost booked out. The guys arrived on time in Walnut Creek, and their names were Joseph, Jose, Simon and Salomon. They packed up our large 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment including storage with ease, in less than 90 minutes. We then arrived in San Francisco, and they had to park all the way down the street because our new apt. was on a major artery. Within about 2 hours everything was moved in. No damage to either apartment, no damage to any of our belongings. I highly recommend this company. I would not use any other moving service. read more

I would give them 10 stars if I could. The crew moved us yesterday, it was a large move with a ton of heavy items. We had Daniel, Pascqule, Emily and Dennis - they were all incredibly strong, careful, energetic (even after 7 hours of moving), fun and SO nice. There price was very fair for all the hard work and time they spent on our move. Don't bother shopping around go right to Lulu's! read more

Need movers? Look no further. I LOVE Lulu's movers!! They are seriously awesome!!! I don't usually gush on in my reviews but these guys were the best. We had just got the wood floors redone throughout our entire new home so we wanted to make sure they didn't get marked up during the move. We were a bit skeptical when we were reassured that the movers are super careful but true to their word, the movers were exceptionally careful in moving everything in our two large PODs (which included things like a king-sized bed, super heavy dresser, several large shelves, boxes of books, etc.) into our 2-story house without scratching up any of the floors. They were fast, super efficient, reliable (arrived 10 minutes early), economical (ended up being significantly less than we expected because they were so fast), and very friendly (service with a smile)! Highly, highly recommend them!! read more

Really excellent job. On time, careful, clean, polite and professional in every way. I had many heavy and awkward things to move in and out of difficult spots, including a really heavy piano that had to be tilted upright and sideways and nudged gently through a doorway that I would have sworn was impossible. They didn't charge me for a quick stop to get coffee during the drive between houses, which I thought was very ethical - I would never have known. Not a single item damaged or broken! They were just wonderful, and I'm really glad I called them. Only thing I regret is not having enough cash on hand to tip them what they deserved for giving me such over and above service. I highly recommend these guys. read more

The staff made my move much easier- I called on a Monday to schedule a move that same Saturday, and it was not a problem. They were professional and very helpful- they packaged items simply so they could be easily carried, and they cleverly devised a plan to move our humongous couch into our apartment on the second level after another moving company gave up! The total move from two apartments into one took 3.5 hours, and their prices were the lowest I found in Oakland. I highly recommend this company- friendly staff who are efficient with time, and well worth the price! read more

These guys are amazing! They arrived on time, were pleasant and friendly, had two trucks and got me from one side of Berkeley to the other in under two hours. I moved in early October and am just now finishing unpacking--nothing broken! They even dismanteled and fixed my Ikea sofa (thanks Patrick!) The actual cost of the move was much less than I'd expected so cash, healthy tips and snacks are a good idea since they work so hard and so fast--they really took the pain out of this move for me! read more

Lulu's Hauling was perfect for our multiple moving needs. Joey & Bobby were hardworking, polite, fast and strong! They made moving heavy furniture and boxes look easy and almost fun. They were in and out quickly and were helpful getting everything to fit perfectly and accessibly in our new storage space. Thanks Lulu! read more

These guys are great. We were selling our house and needed to move quickly in a red-hot market. Lulu's Hauling responded immediately. They were extremely professional and made our move totally stress free. They moved our entire house safely. The crew that handled the move we efficient and super nice. And they busted their a&@es. Hire these guys and look no further. read more

I called 3 movers and Lulu's was the ONLY one that sent someone out for an estimate. I went with them as they were also the most reasonable and they were fast and reliable. Thank You for helping me move into my new home :-) read more

I used Lulu's because of all the positive reviews they received on Yelp. A moving company with 5/5 stars is almost unheard of. I moved from Oakland to Walnut Creek, a short move with about 20 large boxes. The two men that showed up were fantastic! Not only did they show up right on time but they moved at the speed of light. My whole move including travel time took them an hour! I was very impressed. They were also very friendly and didn't get annoyed with my dog jumping all over them. My quoted price was what I was charged, no surprises. I would definitely use them again and recommend them without hesitation if your looking for a stress- free, fast and affordable move. read more

Update 7/12/09: I used Lulu's Hauling again for another move back in March. Great service again: showed up on time, and were fast and efficient. I did note that if I had kept my couch and a few other things instead of leaving them behind, they would have had to do the 1 BR in two trips, not two. But definitely five stars again! Original Review: I had two great moving experiences with Tonka, so I was distressed to discover they had disappeared into thin air. Called a few movers based on Yelp reviews, and chose Dennis because he gave me the lowest quote for a 3-person crew (lower than 2-person crews at most companies) and had the best availability. They showed up on time and did a great job moving all my stuff. Super hard working and efficient even though this was their third job of the day, and friendly to boot. When Dennis told me the total bill, I was stunned by how low it was. Way under what I normally budget for a move. So I gave them a FAT tip. :) Will definitely recommend to friends, and use them again the next time I do a local move. read more

Best move ever. The guys were quick, friendly, and courteous. I have a large armoir that I didn't think was going to make it out of my old apartment, but they had it covered. The price was great, my back thanked me, and I didn't have to call in favors from friends. read more

Lulu's hauling was very efficient and professional. They wrapped up my antique pieces that I have gathered though travel and made sure to keep them safe, and were delivered scratch free. If you want a hassle-free, efficient moving company Lulu's Hauling Inc. is the one. read more

I hired these movers for a client of mine who is elderly, delicate, opinionated and exacting. They really impressed her which is not an easy thing to do! She raved about how much they accomplished in such a short time. I plan to use them again for another client move later this month. Thanks, Lulu's, for making me look good. read more

We just worked with Dennis, Patrick, and crew to do a short distance but large volume relocation. It was a four bedroom house, partial packing included, with several VERY heavy pieces of furniture going up stairs. I can't say enough good things about the great job they did. Compared to other options we checked into, and prior experience with movers, Dennis: 1. showed a lot of care and personal interest in our belongings 2. was fairly priced 3. had a smaller truck, and had to do several trips back and forth. On this point, it was a big advantage for us, since we had a chance to "absorb" our belongings as they arrived rather than the typical "bam, here is all of your earthly posessions in one giant lump" 4. was flexible, since we paid by the hour instead of a fixed amount; we did a lot of packing as we went and reused boxes several times; they moved things around until we were happy rather than just dumping everything in the garage like others have done Bottom line, we were very happy and would recommend them without hesitation. read more

Fast, efficient, and courteous!! Could not be more happy with my move experience. LuLus has an awesome team and would absolutely recommend.

Daniel and Dennis did a partial pack, move (Berkeley to San Francisco) and full unpack for me. They were nice, on-time, quick but careful. I would definitely use them again. read more

Lulu Hauling moved me for the second time yesterday. The move involved 40 stairs/ no elevator. They did an excellent job and maintained their high spirits throughout the whole experience. I am so impressed with the quality of my moving experience. All I had to do was relax and let them do their thing! I highly recommend this service for local moves and longer moves as well. Shout out to Dwight and crew! read more

Impecable service. I had to move from Oakland to Mountain View and after looking around and getting quotes, Lulu's Hauling gave me the best rate, so I decided to hire their services, no regrets whatsoever. Joseph and Jose were so helpful, very efficient and very diligent about their work, highly recommend them. Only advice have some cash to give them some gratuity, they deserve it! read more

One of the best moving experiences that I have ever had. The guys were fast, courteous and efficient. There were to be 3 guys on the job but due to an illness, there were 2. That did not hamper the move one bit so I am giving them 5 stars. They were ready to disassemble our beds and anything else that needed it. They moved quickly loading the truck and efficiently laid out the truck to make for fast unloading. None of my pieces had any damage in this move and they showed extra care around any corners. I chose LuLu based on the previous reviews here and they did not disappoint. I highly recommend them. read more

Great company at a great price and really excellent service. Added, the guys who did the moving were so cool and energetic - all is all a pleasure to use this company read more

Lulu's did a wonderful moving job for us. We needed an 'additionally insured certificate' which they promptly supplied. We had to shift our move date and they cheerfully complied. Joey and his crew arrived on time, wrapped fragile items and placed the items into our storage in a clever way so we have easy access. Regarding cost: don't just think the cost will be the three hour minimum. Our move cost about twice my mental estimate. Took two hours longer, plus a return time cost, plus fuel charge plus some packing supplies. All the costs were discussed in advance and approved. Still it was reasonable based on the service and competitive quotes. read more

Dennis was hard to get a hold of, I called 4 times in 3 days before I got a hold of him, but I'm very happy that I was patient about it. His crew is very courteous, wraps *everything* in padding before moving, extremely skilled at moving furniture through tight corners, efficient, predicted moving time needed perfectly. He brought 2 trucks and 3 pairs of hands for our 2 bdrm apt and was done in just under 4 hrs (we have a ton of stuff). I could go on and on about how wonderful they were. I highly recommend Lulu's Hauling to take the stress out of your move. It may take a few days to get a hold of Dennis, but it's worth the wait. read more

I rarely give 5 stars but Dennis and his guys more than deserve it. They were flexible (they moved me up a weekend even though they had another gig), they were on time and finished under the estimated quote. (estimated 6-8 hours but were done in 3 1/2. I did help so that cut some time but still, these guys cranked.) They were very professional and worked their butts off. I have a huge entertainment center which was a bear but they got it done. Unfortunately my move is temporary so I need to do it again. However, I will definitely use Dennis again. Highly recommended. read more

We are repeat satisfied customers. Although I didn't hear back from Dennis after the first call, when I tried again after normal hours I got him in person. Some common sense here, try again if at first you failed. Anyway, he provided us with Saul and Kevin. It was nice to see a familiar face as Kevin moved us a year ago. Long story short, they rocked. Happy smiling faces, never lost professionalism, and really nice respectful people. We hope we won't have to move anytime soon, but if you need a mover these are your guys. You will not regret hiring them. They know what they're doing! Don't forget to offer them a snack or a glass of water once in a while, they work hard, but seriously, you should stay out of their way and let them do their thing. They'll take great care of your stuff/surroundings, and, perhaps, if you let them, they'll put a smile or 2 on your face, too. read more

These guys are great--a friend of mine recommended them and I'm glad she did! I hired Dennis and his crew for my move from Alameda to Walnut Creek. If you are needing them for a specific date, I'd recommend calling them a couple weeks in advance. I hired them 3 weeks out and managed to get them first thing for a Friday morning. Dennis was a little hard to get a hold of--I called about three times and left a message once. I finally got him while he was in the middle of another move. Just keep trying! He gave me a price and time estimate right over the phone. These guys made my move stress-free. They did arrived about 15 minutes lates, but the weather was crappy, and I wasn't on a schedule. Dennis deducted the late time at the end. I was a little surprised when he showed up with three others--I was expected three in total. But I'm glad he used his judgment and brought four, because no doubt it made the move faster. He brought Patrick, Robert, and Saul with him, all of whom were delightful. I was impressed with how meticulous they were in making sure every piece of furniture was properly handled and transported, both in packing it up and unloading it at my new address. Never did they complain or give off a bad attitude. And they worked fast! They had my 1-bedroom apartment packed up and ready to go in an hour. It took them about an hour to unload on the other side. They always used blankets on the doorways to prevent damage to the buildings, and they even took off a couple of legs to my kitchen table when it wouldn't fit through the door rather than trying to force it through, then put it back together for me inside. In the end, the move ended up taking 3 hours--the actual *move* took about 2.5 hours, but I was the cause of a 30 minute hold-up due to old apartment walk-through and acquiring my keys at the new place. Dennis estimated on the phone 3-5 hours, so I was very pleased! I've unpacked everything and not a thing has a scratch or a knick. Everything arrived in one piece. The cost of the move was a little over $300 not including the tip I left them. It was very well worth it. Have your things boxed up and labeled by the time they get there--it makes their job easier and it will go by faster, therefore saving you money. And these guys work hard--consider having cold bottles of water standing by for them. And definitely tip them--they deserve it for how well they work and at such a great price! I will definitely recommend Dennis and his crew @ LuLu's to others and if I end up moving within the Bay Area again, I will definitely be calling them back! read more

Lulu's Haulilng is AWESOME!! I inquired about moving services a month prior to my move. Dennis assisted me, and was very informative, and offered me a great price. On the day of the move Kevin called me 15 minutes prior to arrival to notify me that he was on his way. Both Kevin and Daniel showed up at 9 am as promised. Both Kevin and Daniel were very helpful, and explanied how the process would work. The two men moved me out of my new place and into my new place in about a 3 hour window, keep in mind I have massive furniture, and a narrow entry way at my new place. Both Kevin and Daniel were able to get my furniture in with NO problems. Both Kevin and Daniel were very courteous, and professional. I strongly recommend Lulu's Hauling if you are moving. I've used other moving companies in the past, but Kevin, Daniel, and Lulu's Hauling by far is the best that I've come across. read more

First let me say I have not used Lulu's however I found them on Yelp for my cousin who "doesn't do computer stuff". I felt that sense they hired Lulu's as a result of Yelp, and my husband and I spent an entire evening hearing about how great they were that I would relay the review. The words we heard were professional, on time, really protected their furniture well, every guy that was there was friendly and helpful. They were really nice about rearranging the furniture. My cousin said they wrapped the furniture with clean moving blankets and plastic wrap. It was so well wrapped that she couldn't tell what it was. Lulu's said the move would take 5 hours and they were done in 5 hours. As for the financial side, they gave them a quote but when it came time to pay it was less by several hundred dollars. I may not have used this service but you can bet that I will when we have a move. read more

All these five star reviews exist for good reason! These guys called while they were on their way, quickly moved all my things into their truck, and moved my stuff into my new apartment even more speedily. They were super professional and super friendly. I did not know moving could be so painless. If you're in the east bay and you're moving... You prob have no reason not to choose this company! read more

We hired Lulu's to move our 2 BD-worth of stuff into a storage pod. The two guys who came did so on time, super FAST! (took 1 hr 15 mins!) and were great! They were experts in arranging pods so our stuff would be in good shape. Reasonable rates. Recommended ! read more

With the help of Lulu's crew Daniel, Juan, and Joel, we moved from a 2-bedroom apartment to a 3-bedroom house, 30 miles away in just 3 hours! If you've ever tried moving yourself or even with the help of your friends, this is a much better experience...even if it costs more. But everything costs more than free. If you're not terribly concerned about cash it's worth it. The process didn't drag out. And I didn't have to worry about anyone accidentally hurting themselves lifting heavy items. Lulu's crew, Daniel, Juan, and Joel has moving down to a science. They were super fast, super buff, and super cool. They even took apart our bed and put it back together for us. read more

Maybe their popularity has gotten to their heads but my 2nd time using these guys, they took way longer than they did the first time and the cost was 3x as much as the first time, too. Granted, I had more furniture during the 2nd go, but it felt like they were kind of milking the situation due from moving from the Peninsula back to the East Bay. They even took a lunch break with my belongings in tow and let me know this as they were lunching. Their newer guys did work very hard loading and unloading, though. read more

WOW!! What a great experience. I had another mover cancel on me on Friday. I called Lulu's and spoke to Dennis. He was able to schedule me for the next day on Saturday! The guys, Daniel and Hector were great! Daniel absolutely orchestrated the move. We moved from Pinole to Oakland, in 3 hours. We had a 7 foot curio cabinet with 3 sides of glass, and they were able to package it so it arrived intact! This was a move for my 93 year old Mom, and it was wonderful to have it go so smoothly. THANK YOU! read more

All my previous experiences with movers had been marginal at best until Dennis, Patrick, Kevin and Dan (the rescue guy) came along. I was so glad to have found their services--they were on time, reasonably priced, super personable, very careful with all our stuff and highly professional. I can't imagine finding another moving company that could have done a better job. We had a good long stairway they had to climb on the move out and it didn't even seem to phase them--they were still cheery at the end of the move and appreciative for the work. Their customer service is stellar. I highly recommend them! read more

We just moved this past weekend (3/9/13) and we are so glad we hired LuLu's to help us with it. Joey and Kevin were the movers and they were on time (9am), quick, courteous and just all around frackin awesome! We have never hired movers before so we thought we would only use them to move the big heavy furniture and move the boxes ourselves (which is why we chose only a 2-man crew instead of a 3-man). That quickly changed only a few hours into the day when we were pretty tired out from moving some stuff and keeping track of our young daugher (who remembers how hard moving is when you've been in the same place for 8 years!), and when we asked them if they could also move our boxes after the furniture they said sure of course... no complaints or anything. They worked from 9am to about 5pm nonstop (they turned down our repeated offers of lunch or even a snack saying if they ate in the middle of moving it would slow them down) and only asked one time for something to drink. I went out immediately to buy several bottles of Gatorades, really wishing I could do more for them. There were several challenges that presented themselves (getting a few large, heavy, one-piece pieces of furniture down a set of stairs that doubles back on itself halfway down at the old place, bringing the couch in through the dining room window at the new place because the front door was too small and too many tight corners to bring through the garage, etc) and they came up with solutions quickly and carried them out very efficiently. I know they do this all the time, but I was very impressed! They are less expensive than other moving companies that we called. $100/hour for 2-man crew and I think Dennis (the owner) quoted $130/hour for 3-man crew (this was over the phone a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure about the 3-man price) with a $30 fuel surcharge. I would completely, totally and highly recommend this company to everyone! read more

Lulu's crew was extremely professional, punctual, careful, and an altogether pleasure to work with. After they had unloaded our huge truck, rather than cash in on the extra time left on the minimum, they asked what they could move around inside the house. There was no grumbling or hassled feeling. In fact, they were great with our kids and had fun doing a difficult job. read more
