Well I do remember hurricane wings and Lu Lu was supposed to bring it back to life with there menu and selection. Unfortunately we ordered to go food and arrived earlier than the food was finished and the food was cold. We commuted approximately 2 blocks away. Love this place! This restaurant has changed hands so many times but my friend wanted to check it out so I went. The tap selection is great! The food was awesome! I had raw clams, BBQ pork tacos (with fries on top??? Whaaaaat????), and I tried one of my friends garlic parmesan hot wings. Of course the tacos and wings destroyed my stomach but I knew what I was getting myself into and it was worth it! Also love the selection of rubber duckies in the claw machine out front. I'm leaving this review after I have been to this restaurant four times, Staff is always friendly, beer is always cold restaurant is always clean. Always have a great time. App prices are a little steep but menu is priced well. Only gripe I have is i wish they had less frozen freezer dishes, ive gotten the beer batter fish sandwich and it was a giant triangle fish stick far from beer battered. I never, ever leave reviews and it took me a long time to figure out how to, but the food was sooo bad that I felt that people should know. It started with them sending me boneless wings instead of regular wings, and it was downhill from there. My husband ordered a lobster that was so tough, he struggled to cut it with a steak knife. We also ordered baked clams that were dry and extremely chewy. The sweet potato fries were soggy. The only saving grace was the street corn which was edible. I ordered the steak sandwich..asked for it done medium. It was really pretty rare. My boyfriend had the boneless bbq wings which looked like they were microwaved and they were super small. Needless to say they weren't eaten. I had also asked for corn on the cob which I thought maybe they were just bringing out next cause she couldnt carry everything at once. Again, didnt see her for about 20 mins until I was able to ask her for my corn on the cob but at that point we also just wanted the check. In the time it took for her to bring the check, and us to split the bill and pay my corn was still not out. I wasn't waiting at that point anymore I just wanted to leave. I was just hoping I wasnt going to get sick from the food I ate. Definitely won't be going back there unfortunately. So bad it wasn't funny. It started out okay, the staff were friendly and our appetizer, the typhoon shrimp, was good. But it all went downhill when our meals came. My husband ordered a medium burger, and what he got was a well done, freezer burned burger that was so dry it was inedible, and there was someone else's HAIR stuck to his plate. My daughters cheeseburger had cheese that was hard and crunchy at the edges from being microwaved, and my sons chicken tenders were dry and had the texture of being microwaved as well. My bbq pork tacos had nothing bbq about them, they were missing the typhoon sauce and the best thing about them was the pickles. We asked for a manager, and after a group had a powwow in front of us to determine who would have to deal with us, someone came and assured us the food wasn't microwaved even though there was no denying it since the evidence was left on the plate. The Lobster salad was mixed - the lobster part was good, but the greens were uninspired at best - no tomatoes included. The Lobster bisque was small in portion and average at best - no crackers were included. The beer battered fish promised on the menu was breaded, not battered, and did not taste as good as a BK Big Fish. It was frozen triangles and tasted fishy. The kettle chips were very good, though. Don't know how they can do a lobster dinner, with two sides for only $17.99, but I am happy that they did. The onion rings were great and the garlic fries were okay, but a little different than what I have had in the past. They could have been crunchier. That's the problem with putting something wet on top of fries. If you don't eat them fast they will get soggy. They did have good flavor. The waitresses and bartenders are all very nice and friendly. I've been here many times and although there are servers who are attentive I feel that every time we go, we end up getting more servers that don't come back to the table at all. We ordered iced teas and it came out extremely diluted. They tried saying that, that is how their iced tea is. We said we've been there before and it's always darker. She came back and said we were right and she was sorry. We had them bring my two year olds meal out with the appetizer so he wouldn't get cranky and would be able to continue to eat as our food came out. It took over 30 minutes for our food to come out after we got the appetizer. So just imagine how impatient and over it my 2 year old was. We couldn't eat together because one of us had to entertain my son outside. I also feel that the quality of the food has gone down as well. Seems the wings were cooked in days old oil, had a bad aftertaste. The chicken fingers look like Popeyes chicken tenders but per my daughter were soggy and didn't seem fully cooked. Loud karaoke playing gave us a headache when we left. They replaced hurricane grill and didn't bother to change anything. They just have a sticker over their name on the menu.
