We had a party at El Matador last night. From start to finish it was perfect. Emily, is fabulous…read more She is so accommodating and easy to work with. Treats you like family. Love her! The room was set up upon arrival. All we needed to do is decorate and enjoy. Lots of my guests told to me today how friendly and personable the waitstaff were to our little guests. They were very attentive and consistently were on top of things. If you haven't tried their sangria, you need to. It was great. Everyone loved the food and made it a point to tell me. For reference: Appetizers were empanadas, chicharrones, and quesadillas. Entrees were Carne Asada with pico de gallo, chicken and chorizo, chicken franchise, white rice, vegetables, stuffed plantain and salad. Dessert Tres leches We love coming here for dinner, so we will visit again. Last night was extra special thanks to the Team at El Matador.

The beef and potato empanadas were very good, and the paella was tasty and loaded with clams, mussels, chicken, and chorizo. My only disappointment was that there wasn't a single shrimp or any calamari in the paella, which I was expecting. Overall, the food was flavorful and we enjoyed our meal.

I created my own Arepita Rellaña" (stuffed Columbia corn cake): shredded beef, white Colombian cheese and caramelized onions. Cost: $11.52. I call it the "Arepita Gail B". It came with a side of fries and two sauces: pink (a mayo and ketchup combo) and green (a jalapeño, onion and cilantro combo). I liked the pink sauce the best, especially when I dipped it in the fries. The arepita itself was so rich that it did not need any sauce. To drink, I had a passionfruit shake (maracuya batida): "little sugar, please; make it with water, no milk!". That was refreshing, delicious, low carb and low cal. The iced coffee is good but is as expensive as Starbucks. Truthfully, I prefer Starbucks because at least I accumulate rewards points that entitle me to free drinks, sandwiches and merchandise. Coffee Lumbia is a good informal spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner for connoisseurs of Colombian Street Food. It is located on Rt 112 in Patchogue, directly across from the Nissan dealership. Caveat Emptor: They charge a transaction fee for using a debit or credit card, but there is NO SIGN!

It's got that old school coffee shop bodega feel to it without making you feel like you should be worried lol it's definitely a hidden gem. You're gonna love it here if you haven't tried it I ate inside so I can't comment on take out but my leftovers I'm excited to eat again!

Good food, great service, in a relaxed ambiance is how I can describe Gallo. Located in downtown…read morePatchogue, the music grabs you as soon as you enter. We sat down and ordered drinks first. I had a passion fruit margarita which was good. We also ordered mango habanero wings which were also good. For the entree I had to try their steak Caesar wrap with fried sweet plantains. The steak was soft and juicy, and the Caesar salad was flavorful. The sweet plantains on the side just connected all the dots for me. Our server Kelly was friendly and genuine, and came to check on us to make sure everything was good. Considering this is where my brother met his wife, it was great to celebrate the moment where they first fell in love. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something new on the menu!

Base my reviews off what you pay:…read more *Place was pretty empty on a Sunday evening. Price - ~$110 (appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, tip) Better spots in Patchogue. Food: 3/5 - food is pretty lackluster taste-wise but makes up for in portion size. The food has that typical restaurant-like taste where if it were frozen, I would not be surprised. However the portions are massive, spent around $20-$25 on nachos and entree and both were huge. Drinks were very good, Guava Mojito was top notch. Service: 2/5 - was debating giving a 1 here but held off. Didn't get our servers name, forgot waters after asking twice, food came out right on top of one another. Overall lame. Probably the worst part. Ambiance: 2/5 - inside itself was fine but the vibe was low and there were a number of flys around our table. The place also felt pretty lifeless. Felt like my girlfriend and I were the only people having a conversation in the whole place. Just felt cold inside. Overall: 2/5 - possibly would return for takeout only and looking to grub on a lot of food. But not dine-in. Would rather other spots in Patchogue. Best Dish - Guava mojito Would Return - Probably not
