The store was super clean and organized and the employees were helpful, checking in to see how they could assist me. They had a wide selection of items and a great sales rack. The Lululemon staff here are attentive and accommodating. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted and asked if you need assistance. They offer a wide array of selections, and you can also ask about ordering items online and having them shipped to your home. I appreciate their attention to detail in ensuring customer satisfaction with both the value and quality of their products are expressed. I've had my ABCs hemmed here before, and the turnaround time from drop-off to pick-up is relatively quick. In terms of value, the items hold up well over time. First of all when ordering online beware! Most things on sale are pretty much final sale, even if discounted for a couple dollars . You get store credit. I have ordered online because I find the stores very intimidating, the first time I went to purchase a define jackets the cashier was extremely rude!!! For no reason! Like if they just didn't want to work or I was bothering them lol. Online is worse!!!! The carrier of their choice is unreal . It takes like 2 weeks to receive my order and not 1 x or 2 more like everyone time I order. My last incident was the worse , as I was tracking my package that went from 4-5 different facilities (wrong route) when I finally did receive it , my order was , keeping it short replaced with used clothing ! Stumbled upon this Lululemon store after going to a bakery across the street. I've been to several Lululemon stores several different states. Generally, they all have good customer service and carry the same items. Some of the LL stores were located in malls and some were freestanding. This Lululemon is located on the third floor of an indoor mall. I found it to be larger than many of the other LL stores that I've visited. There was a lot more floorspace. I visited on a Sunday afternoon. There were only a few other customers in the store. Diane immediately greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. She helped set me up in a dressing room. The store was well organized and clean. I'm not sure if it was just my imagination, but they seemed to carry a larger inventory than most of the other stores I visited. I say this because I am ridiculously familiar with their current stock, both online and in stores, and I went to look at one shirt and ended up trying on 7 items and buying 2, none of which were the shirt I intended to look at. The dressing rooms were standard for LL. Customer service was very good. Prices were typical LL. There was a small selection of sale items. Love this LL. Wish it were closer to home. read more

There is no such thing as a Resolution Center! Talk about bad experiences - each of my 3 children received $100 gift card for a christmas gift. A week after Christmas we went to the store so they could spend - we got to check out, they opened the cards infront of the cashier and when scanned it said they had already been used. The customers in front of me had the same issue - all cards were purchased from a third party store vs in a lululemon store. So they sent me to the resolution team and said they were very helpful and would be able to sort through. Definitely not the experience I had - infact, I don't think they bothered to look into it and just said there was nothing they could do because we didn't purchase the cards through a store and therefore we are out the $300 worth of gift card money. What a joke - maybe don't sell your cards to third parties that cant activate them properly. Be accountable Lululemon - so disappointed in the lack of customer care along with the fact that my kids were so excited to get something from Lulu. Terrible! read more

Really? First to review for this location? You guys are so missing out, although maybe it's for the best that you don't know how great these workout clothes are or before you know it you'll be spending $150 on a workout outfit as well. I know, I know...I thought it was crazy at first too. I was ecstatic to hear that another Lululemon recently opened up in Chicago and this one is even more convenient to me than the location on Halsted, where I originally got hooked. You can read all about what I think about Lululemon for my review of the halsted store, but it truly is the best. It's so comfortable (and cute looking) that I now refuse to wear anything else to the gym and keep having to buy more and more because I can't seem to wash my current workout clothes fast enough...really the problem is that i just need to do laundry more often! This location is smaller than the original Chicago location and has less street wear clothes, but they still have plenty to choose from and amazing service. Today I was helped by the lovely fellow yelper, Kimberly C, and she definitely knows her stuff when it comes to workout clothing! I also love the sense of community you get from just being a customer at this store. Before I left I was given a flyer for free yoga classes at Lululemon on Wednesday evenings, as well as a free boot camp class on the beach. And I even had a nice chat with a sales associate who is also a pilates instructor at East Bank Gym about what pilates classes I should try at my new gym! At this store an 8 fit. Beware of sizing. Very comfortable material. I also felt like when I needed help they were all tied up in the dressing room and cash register. Better service than Rush St., but staff seems to be limited in customer service or might not understand timing. At Rush street I had to ask for help. They did here after I-- after I had to rifle through clothes to find the right sizes. She acknowledged her timing was off. At the register 5 minutes later, I had the lovely experience of having her check me out. She pretended like everything was fine being the typical perky lulu employee. The non-acknowledgment, non-apologetic behavior was even more irritating. I think I'm going to start buying Facebook competitor brands and just exchange and return stuff through the mail. It's a lot less hassle then going to the actual stores. Plus I might just feel more positive about spending $500-$1000 when I do shop. This is my favorite Lulu store! Walked in just as they opened and asked for help picking out a weightloss celebration outfit. CJ was happy to help and was super helpful and friendly. Some of the other stores can be a bit pretentious, but at 900 N Michigan, everyone is personable and helpful. I was surprised that the store had more sizes and color combinations than the app listed. I'll probably stop mail ordering and just drop in at this store, since they carry so much. All of the stuff I wanted and all in my size. Can't wait to roil in my new outfit! read more

I pulled the trigger after never owning Lululemon pants. I'd recently upgraded from Old Navy to UA but wanted to see what the hype was about. 1. The prices aren't that much higher than UA or Nike 2. This store is very clean and nice with a good selection 3. Some people say it is small? If that's small I'm not sure what the large ones look like! 4. The staff was excellent!! All of them. Shocked to have to write this. I received a pair of FILTHY, CONTAMINATED, and obviously worn lululemon leggings in the mail. The filth was not noticed at the time of trying them on as it was the CROTCH that was STAINED with what appeared to be a possible combination of FECES, URINE and BLOOD!! So obviously someone wore these without underwear, sent them back to lululemon, Someone at lululemon proceeded to repackage them with tags on and send them on to me. I brought the item back to this store In hopes of an immediate response to take down my information and have someone follow up immediately. The clerk who I warned of the contamination proceed to protect herself with gloves. She must not want to contract any diseases and could see the seriousness but not the manager who later I learned was standing right there and walked away from me. I had to insist on someone taking down my information so management could call with an explanation and guarantee this never has happened and will never happen again. None of this occurred and now getting some slow "I'm sorry" response due to my repeated calls and emails. I tried to review the item on the lululemon website but they refused to post my review saying first it was the wrong item which it was but then the item was sold out so I cannot review the exact one and a subsequent email response was sent to me stating my review was denied due to the "language and store experience, not the fit or function of the garment". It was not the store that sent me the item and I guess cleanliness and hygienic merchandise is not an issue that should be addressed and therefore posted. As for the language I use the words horrified feces and blood are those inappropriate words? I am not sure how they can try to keep this silent. I guess cleanliness is not an appropriate expectation to have of new Lululemon clothing. Calvin McDonald and corporate management needs to know of the HEALTH HAZARD. All that said, I have been a loyal lululemon supporter for years and just want to insure of there quality and cleanliness as this has been horrifying. I couldn't believe it. I have been going to lululemon regularly most of my clothes and the service is amazing so I didn't expect that I would be treated so horribly when I walked in here. I was looking for the milkshake pink scuba I understand it is sold out everywhere but I asked an employee just in case and she looked me up and down and told me "it would only be in extra small so no" and I had to just smile and act as if she didn't completely shatter my heart. I haven't felt bad about my body in a long time since I've lost so much weight but never has anyone said something about me in that way at least to my face. I just had to come say something because this was so hard on me to understand how she could say something like that from a employee perspective she should have been professional or atleast showed me the jacket regardless if I could have worn it but to shut me down and treat me like I didn't belong keep in mind I'm not even large anymore I'm down to a medium after all my hard work. Til this day, I still don't know how to pronounce lululemon... and Digimon (cartoon characters) still comes to mind when I think of the name. I guess, the Lululemon would be a bootylicious yoga bear to fight the evils of unshapely butts. In this fascinating episode of Digimon, Luluemon got to help another poor soul find meaning of a beautiful rump roast. But anyways, back to the real world. I got the brushed drawstring black pants and after wearing it, I fell in love with these pants. It was great for doing absolutely everything. From lounging around, to working, to working out. It's also great because the extra brushed lining makes it super soft and warm for the winter days. Not to toot my own horn or nothing, but I already have a nice shapely butt but with these pants, I think it just made it look even bigger and shapelier, like i've been to the gym everyday of my life. This is probably something all women will want. So ladies, go get yourself a pair. Price tag is the only downside, $100 and up is to be spent on a pair of these bottom knockers. Yes, my eyeballs did the cha ching sign too. But was it worth it? Looking into the mirror yes, but looking at my bank account no. The store is clean (as most Lulus are) and large, but I have noticed that the staff here is more interested in socializing than in helping clients. I stood outside my dressing room for a few minutes, waiting for help with sizes, as three female staff members were gossiping. Maybe it's my fault, but I wasn't in the mood to walk up in my bare feet (it's winter and I was trying on leggings) to squeeze in between the girls to grab my size. Finally, it was a cold winter day, and there was almost no one in the store. Literally, your one job is to help customers and you couldn't manage to do that. Let me start out by saying that I LOVE Lululemon. I can't say enough about the clothes, the company and the concept. And up until my recent visit to this location, I would be the first to say that my encounter with every staff member at every store I have visited from NYC to DC to Atlanta has been amazingly friendly and helpful without being annoying. The staff show features and benefits without giving the consumer the pressure of a sales pitch. And it hasn't ever mattered if I walk into the location at Tyson's, Bethesda or Georgetown. I've heard the same message across the board: everything from their luon fabric to the level of support their sports tops range from the left side of the wall to the right. My first experience in this particular Chicago location was most disappointing. The male staff members did acknowledge my presence in the store and one of them even approached me to point out a new item that just arrived. But the rest of the staff was extremely cold and unwelcoming. Even when I tried on a new item that one of the sales girls was wearing around the store, I thought for sure she would approach me to discuss what she liked about the shirt. But nothing. Even after purchasing this particular item, I attempted to make small talk with one of the guys at the register, and his reciprocation was minimal. Normally I don't think I'd care so much about the level of service I receive at a retail store, but because I do love this brand so much, and frequent multiple locations at home as well as make a point to go to other locations while I'm traveling, I felt compelled to share my opinion. I am so glad that Lululemon opens this location. I used to go to the store on Halsted St., but this one is so much better. The staff is so friendly and very understanding when I fly through the pants section like a tornado trying on everything that I can get my hands on. I love the fitting room attendants for their patience and ability to answer each one of my millions of questions. I mean, if I'm spending $100 on yoga pants I want to make sure that I like them before I walk out the door. I haven't tried any of the classes at this location yet, but someday soon I will. read more

Bought 1 pair of leggings through the online store as a birthday gift about 10 days in advance hoping to get them in time. Think again. It has now been a week and the order (1 item) still has not even been processed and shipped. I reached out to customer service to ask if there was a problem with the order or what was causing the delay, and I get a generic "Sorry- orders are shipped in 1-2 business days" response. Um okay? How does this answer my question why mine hasn't been shipped in a week then? Great customer service. Then they say it will take an additional 2-7 business days to receive the order after it has been shipped. So I'm assuming this will be more like 10-14 business days. Which should put the total process from purchase to receiving at a month+. Maybe ill receive them by her next birthday. Then again, maybe not. Moral of the story: first and last time customer. Don't order unless you don't want the product for at least a month. And don't expect to get any help from anyone at customer service. Not even sure they are real people, they just send an automated response. *UPDATE- Received a random email a WEEK after placing the order saying the order was randomly cancelled. So once again I had to speak to someone, who told me it was a glitch in the system and they actually still had the product in stock. But I would now need to reorder, which would take... you guessed it: 1-2 MORE business days to process and 2-7 business days to ship. HAHAHA Place is a JOKE read more

A friend of mine has been telling me to go here for months. MONTHS. As in, knew when the first store was under construction in Chicago even though she lives in NYC months... (she's crazy but that's besides the point)...I was strolling down Michigan Ave tonight and needed to stop in Bloomingdale's so I thought "what the hell" and I went in determined that their prices were too high and that I wouldn't buy a thing. Oh brother. I definitely could have spent an entire month's earnings in that store. It's like heaven with lycra and spandex workout wear. I tried on several styles of pants recommended by the salesperson for my body type. She was so helpful and when she found out that I didn't actually want to work out in the clothes, she didn't even laugh at me. Don't get me wrong, they're the perfect workout pants/ tops... I just think they're too pretty to sweat in :). Anyway, I ended up with a pair of awesome, just perfect, make my ass look good, pants and an awesome jacket that I could wear for running in the winter if I decide it's not too pretty. The salespeople were really friendly and helpful, not pushy at all. Go here prepared to spend a pretty penny for workout clothes, but I promise that you won't be disappointed. I'm taking my business to the store on Walton and Rush, where the staff are warm, welcoming, helpful and so positive! The lululemon in Bloomingdales is just bad juju. The vibe is judgey, impolite, soporific. I just want to get out of there as soon as I enter. So. I love Lululemon. I feel super fierce when I'm working out and wearing their clothes. That said, it's a very pricey brand and I make careful selections of what I buy from them, since a hoodie can cost $120. Gulp. Anyway, I bought a tank online. It was hot. I wore it once and it immediately developed bleach-like stains (obviously, I didn't put bleach on it). I was distraught. My crappy $5 T Shirts don't act like this when I work out, why was a $55 yoga tank doing this? I brought the offending article of clothing to the Lululemon on Michigan Ave and they exchanged it, no question asked. Very cool of them. Let's hope this one is a keeper! read more

This place is amazing! The staff is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The clothing is high quality at a high price -but it is worth every penny! Once you buy an article of clothing from them it will be your favorite piece. It will last forever through intense workouts and frequent washes. The price is justified for the quality, functionality and practicality of the garments.The brand also carries hard to find accessories that are cute and fashionable. I love the V-neck sports bra with the ipod insert tucked inside the strap. It is a lifesaver because I don't need the uncomfortable arm band anymore. Brings your athletic guys to this store! I was hesitant to shop here only because I'd heard two things: 1) the clothes are awesome and 2) they are expensive. These are both true. However, it's totally worth it. The salespeople were so helpful and friendly as I navigated myself through the store for the first time. They explained how merchandise was organized by fit and were able to answer any questions I had. I ended up with two sports bras (the Swift Bras are amazing), a pair of sweats - the Classic Lulu (I desperately needed some cuter sweatpants that I could feel good about wearing in public), and a pair of the Yogini pants which are from their sustainable line (not yet worn for actual yoga class). This store is kind of small (I've heard the Halsted location is much larger), but they still have a nice selection of merchandise. They also offer yoga classes in the store after hours (I've gone once - a nice beginner/intermediate level class). read more

In the 5.5 years I've lived in Chicago I've never stepped foot in a Lululemon store. Everything always looks totally cute and the merchandise is displayed really well, its a good use of space. I love looking at their products but I always knew temptation would take hold of me if I ever stepped in the store. And that day finally came. I saw the new Triumph Tote and it spoke to me. I mean whispered sweet nothings to me and I had to have it. In the Black Peacock Embossed pattern thank you very much. The guy who checked out my awesome item at the counter was very nice, funny and personable. He's the only one I interacted with in the store and he was very sympathetic to my having to cross the "velvet rope" for Fashion Night out at the mall - not fun. Great merchandise and a painless checkout made it perfect. Plus I love the bag and I am not one to buy bags of any sort. I'll definitely return to check out their apparel at some point. read more

This location is in a fancy mall in downtown Chicago. A really nice store that's slightly smaller than the location on Halstead (I discovered, checking out both locations when visiting the city), but plenty of stock and selection nonetheless. I had more than one person offer help, and one of the girls was really nice and we chatted about my Lulu hoodie that I was wearing. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. I'm currently working through an addiction to Lululemon gear. It has become a real problem. So much so that I sought out this location in Chicago when in town for work to see if the gear was any different from my home town location. Happily, it did have some different items, of which I purchased a new pair of crop pants with my birthday gift card. But on to the review of this particular location. The staff was really friendly. One of the guys that I was speaking to even knew a girl from my high school (I'm from a small town in Michigan, so that was totally out of the blue). The woman running the dressing room was also really friendly, and the other woman who checked me out was true to the Lulu style of friendliness as well. Selection is top notch and the location at the end of the Magnificent Mile was a bit of a walk, but let's be honest - I was going to a workout gear store - I shouldn't complain about a little exercise to get there! If you haven't tried Lulu gear, I highly recommend it. The pants/crops/shorts hold you in at all the right places and make you feel gorgeous while sweating it up at the gym. Check out the stores regularly and you might even get some items on sale (which go very quickly, as you can imagine). read more

I'm always a fan of Lululemon's athletic wear, but my recent visit to the 900 Michigan Ave location was especially nice! The sweet sales associate who greeted me helped me find items that addressed all my concerns. I prefer workout tanks with built-in support--check. And as comfortable as they are, leggings made of luon tend to fall down as I run or move around. Enter Power Luxtreme leggings in a tighter fit! The sales associate at the check-out counter also struck up conversation about my favorite kind of work-out and about taking care of my purchases. I have been to this location for the free yoga classes on Wednesday nights. The classes are marketing genius, as the store has a captive audience for an hour surrounded by its beautiful and functional workout clothes. Each month a different Chicago fitness club or yoga studio is featured and the store brings in instructors from that location to teach the class. So far class attendance has been small and the instructors have been fantastic. As for the lululemon merchandise, I have been staring at the offerings during class but still haven't made a purchase despite the sad state of my workout clothes. Why? They're pricey and rarely on sale. Still, the next time I feel flush with cash and ready to invest in cute workout gear, I will be making my way to lululemon. read more

I started practicing Bikram about a month ago. That means time to go shopping for Yoga clothes and accessories!! The store is clean, bright and well merchandised. The clothes and accessories are pretty, comfortable, and most importantly, functional. I picked up a few Yogitotes towels and a gripping headband... and they were expensive! Staff is nice and very friendly. However, the one thing I didn't like was that they asked me where I practiced. When I told them I go to a small studio in Lakeview and I really love it, they said, "We love {the owners} of that studio, but you should really go do xxxxxx yoga studio." It was kind of awkward. I can't say enough good things about the lululemon product and brand. I love the clothes. The fit is amazing. Their quality is great. Yes, they are pricey but the last forever and out perform all the other workout clothes I own. That being said, I have come to avoid this location like the plague, which is unfortunate because it is so convenient. Every time I come here, I have a problem with the customer service (with one employee in particular, who I believe is the manager). I have tried to return things here twice and both times I have been summarily denied. I understand that stores have policies, but when the product has bled, or I am a few days passed the two-week return policy (the only bad thing about lululemon), in part because my package arrived late, most other stores would make some effort to accommodate a loyal customer. At the VERY least, the manager would get on the phone to customer service to see what can be done. There would at least be effort to help a customer. But not here.... both times I have ended up calling customer service myself, and both times the GEC rep has been amazingly helpful, issuing me a gift card for the purchase price, or providing me with a return authorization number. I just find it shocking that for these prices, and at such a prominent location, a store manager can be so completely and unapologeticly unhelpful ... particularly when working for a company that appears to pride itself on customer service.
