This store is conveniently located within steps of my job. Not necessarily a good thing if you know what I mean. Lol. On this particular visit, there was no greeting upon entering. My friend and I browsed the store checking out the fall collection. NOT once was there a "can I help you?" NOT once was there a "are you finding everything ok?" In fact, the two young ladies working were enjoying each other's company; laughing and talking in the middle of the sales floor and the security officer was on his cell phone. I did find something I liked, but had to stand at the register and wait to be noticed. Then my service came with an attitude. Made the purchase anyway because it's really hard to find petite and medium. By the way, prices are way too HIGH to be an outlet store. read more

LOFT is great for getting professional clothing, and this location always seems to have a good selection, even a good sale selection. And the location of this store is so convenient. But what really makes this location especially amazing is the staff. I was shopping here once with my mom, and we were buying a ton of stuff and didn't realize what time it was though it was obviously getting late, and asked the sales associate what time they close, and they had already been closed for 20 minutes and didn't tell us, nor were they rushing us. This store is dangerously located close to my office. The Loft has a great selection for your office wardrobe basics and some cute tops and accessories for going out. The sales staff are very friendly and not at all pushy. The fitting rooms are well kept and they check on you if you need another size. Amazing sales, good selection and coupon incentives. I just wish the Loft would carry tall pants in their stores. I have to buy my pants online because of this reason. They have a petite section, why not a tall girl section? The depletion of my funds continued with another trip to Loft - my third since Christmas Eve. *face palm* Honestly, I have no self-control when it comes their 50% off sales, and I seriously need help. That, or maybe I should throw my credit card into my freezer or something along those lines. But, in my defense - almost everything was 50% off! I mean, how can you go wrong?? And, it's always good to be prepared with an array of sweaters when Chicago's coldest temperatures hit, right? I hopped onto the website in preparation for my shopping trip. The really cool thing about it is that you can check whether your item is in the store before you go. I had been eyeing two tie neck blouses for the longest time. They were at this Loft location, which is a sign to me that I needed to buy them STAT. Off to Loft I went during my lunch hour. I haven't been to this location before, having only shopping at the one off Monroe in the Loop. It wasn't busy around 1:15, which was nice. I really liked the layout of this one, which is just one big shop - unlike the location at Monroe, which has certain sections separated off for various product lines (like Petites). I found my two tops right away. I immediately snatched them up and began to browse. See, this is where it all went downhill. All of a sudden, a long sleeved top, two pairs of tights, and not one, but two pairs of socks (one was a two-pack) mysteriously made their way into my hands. Trust me, folks - I honestly have no idea how they got there. I walked up to the register and once again, another $100 was spent on items that honestly weren't absolutely needed. But, they were on sale! For 50% off! The sales associate, a friendly man, tried to convince me to sign up for their credit card to save an additional percentage off my total. I politely declined, since I already have serious issues with how much I spend at LOFT. The credit card will only entice me to keep shopping, and I don't need that. There probably are some advantages to having one, but I really don't want/need it. He gave me another coupon to tempt me to come back in January. I should probably just hide it/throw it away. Overall, good shopping experience at LOFT and definitely will consider shopping at this location again when I succumb to my need to spend tons of money on things I don't really need. I am short and curvy (but not in areas I'd prefer unfortunately), therefore, my shopping trips are kind of limited. I like most, if not, all what the petite section at ATL (heh) has to offer. This summer I've managed to update my summer wardrobe for work (and play!) with cute colorful items. Need a good suit? Suits here are sold separately: skirts, jackets, and pants. Last year, I found a good deal on a skirt, a pair of pants, and jacket. I figured these things would make 2 great separate suits for work: jacket + skirt or jacket + pants. Voila! Petite length pants from ATL are still a little long on me but not by much. They still work well with heels if used. Prices are pretty reasonable, and I've found that the clothes do last. What else makes shopping here worthwhile? Coupons. I'm all about coupons. I mean, I get all giddy when I receive a $20 off in the mail. Want to get in on that action? I love Loft clothes, however, the employees in this store arent helpful or pleasant by any means. I just went in to do some shopping this afternoon. I had to keep going in and out if the dressing room to get different sizes while the employees in the store stood around talking and unpacking new items. I inquired about a pair of white jeans in another size. I was told " those are the last pair". When I asked if they were expecting to get more I got a short reply "probably not" and when I asked if they were available online I got "i don't know". I'm pretty sure the employees can order an item online to be shipped to your home if they don't have the size in the store. I left empty handed and will most likely not be returning back to the store. Which is unfortunate because it's so close to my house. Hopefully I just caught them on an "off" day. read more

I LOVE this Ann Taylor Loft location. I work across the street so I like to hop in here on my lunch break. Now, we all know the Ann Taylor chain has great, well made, well tailored and classic clothes for work. And that the Loft has the slightly younger, more attractive version of regular Ann Taylor clothes. Also, that they have amazing sales on work basics that you just should not miss (like today, I got an additional 40% off all my final sale merchandise -- meaning I got almost $100 worth of clothes for about $56). What makes this location special is the fact that it is never crowded, the dressing rooms are large and well maintained and they have tons of helpful staff available to assist you even during lunch hours! So, if you need a shopping fix in the middle of the day, I couldn't recommend this location more read more

I did some shopping Friday(2/17) after work. Elisa was an awesome sales associate. I have written several positive reviews because of their awesome staff and amazing Customer Service. I would rate this store a 5, as mentioned in other reviews they could step up their inventory, so they don't run out of sizes. I usually do not review retail, but given the reviews, here goes!! Went to the Outlet on Randolph, on a cold,icky day. The store was bright, clean, and well staffed. I was offered assistance more than once, and checkout was a breeze. Great sales and stock. I will return when back in Chicago. read more

This store is very close to my office and I've been shopping here for over a year. I am not sure what happened with staffing but my last few experiences have been just awful in the customer service department. No one greets you when you walk in the door, none of the staff offer to start a fitting room for you, they don't ask you if you need different sizes, they don't tell you about any sales or discounts and they basically made me feel like I was inconveniencing THEM by shopping at the store. It was 10 times worse than any outlet store experience - get your act together LOFT or you won't see me returning any time soon, to ANY of your stores. read more

If you have to go to an Ann Taylor Loft store head some where else. This store is so unhelpful and they have forgotten to pack all my merchandise in my bag. I am usually a big Loft fan. I love their clothes. I cannot get enough of them but this store I will definitely stay clear of in the future. I have been in this store twice in the past month and no one helped me and this past visit the cashier did not put the belt I purchased in the bag. My first time shopping at this location , and it will be my last. the staff is horrible, all they did was just have conversation. they did not acknowledge my presence, or ask if i was doing okay with my sizes.The employees continue to talk, like if they were not at work. Went to the store this afternoon (Wednesday, December 17, 2014 ). The store was a mess. There was one girl there that looked like a customer or a teenager waiting on their mom. She was leaning against a table and texting like no tomorrow. Found out that the girl Tiffany is a Co-Manager. Very bad attitude. She definitely doesn't enjoy her job or helping customers. Isn't it unprofessional to have your cellular phone on the floor texting like a pre-teen? This store is going downhill. The two young ladies that were on the floor were very helpful and professional.
