Worst customer service and unprofessionalism I've experienced in a long time, starting with manager on down. The entire staff looks unhappy, no smiles, no greetings. Samantha, the manager is horrible about handing a problem I had with a return. She was down right rude, and must have underlining anger issues. She is a horrible representative of such a huge company that prides themselves on Nameste! Other people were sharing the same feelings we had, while we were in line. This shop is the place I go to buy all my Lulus. I have been a customer for a few years as well as most of my girlfriends. The pants make my body look hot stuff and I LOVE the sports bra incorporated into the workout tank for Pilates. I am not sure who actually follows the ridiculous "cleaning"-- I don't so I thrash my pants and I am not blaming Lululemon. However I do think it is comical that the only way to keep them pristine is to do the crazy routine. After all the majority of the women are Moms also working out - Or pretending to when they drop their kids off at school. But whatevs. The reason I am giving a poor review is because of my recent experience. My mom LOVED my most latest pant acquisition and since she was probably going to steal mine I decided to treat her. She was so so excited to get a pair of fancy pants and we built our day around it. When we arrived we were greeted promptly and the sales associates on the floor were friendly and helpful. However the moment we got to the dressing room the mood changed. The girl working in the dressing room had Reddish hair and was a Lulu 8-12. She did all but roll her eyes at my mom who was trying on pants. It was very obvious to me she had no desire to deal with women who just wanted a great pair of pants. I continued to bring my mom pants to try on and every once in awhile she would give me a side glance and grudgingly ask if I needed anything. She was by far the most unfriendly sales gal I have met in awhile so I tried to win her over with my tried and true outgoing personality. No go. She was so annoyed I had brought my small child in and my mom was trying on pants for one whole purchase. At first I thought it was just her disdain for my daughter and mom and slinked back to a seat. However I watched another woman mid sixties come to the fitting room and be dealt with similarly! These amazing woman actually walked up to her and said, "this is my first time here and I am so excited! I heard the work out gear is amazing and just need help finding what I need!". Again, disdain. This poor woman kept coming out to find her own stuff and received zero help. Luckily for my mom she had a Lululemon veteran! I worked retail for 10 years and the customer was ready to spend as much money as necessary. She was ignored and eventually gave up. I saw her at the cash register buying a shirt. Missed HUGE sale. Conversely when a woman in her early 30's in phenomenal shape walked up she was amenable and changed her personality. Whoever the associate is in the dressing room she needs to be let go STAT. My mom was embarrassed to even ask for help and luckily one of the floor reps helped her. Hey Lulu... we love your clothes but they are very expensive. The customer service should be impeccable to all customers regardless of age and shape. I was not impressed. read more

I love their clothes, the fit, the fabric, the longevity, the clothes are amazing. I, however, am boycotting as the service is about the worst in any retail store I have been in. I spent 20 minutes in there this morning and not ONE SINGLE SALES ASSOCIATE could even look up at me. Shameful. Poor poor customer service tonight. My daughter and I walked in at approx. 8:45 pm looking for a quick gift. Three employees were buttoning and folding and one more concerned with her "swifter" moped right by us. No one acknowledged us in any way. "Don't make eye contact and maybe they will leave. " As we were ready to leave my daughter notices a sweater ($128.00) sweater that she thinks she could wear on the plane tomorrow morning for an early flight. I ask her to try it on. Still no word from any of the three girls!! She decides she will buy it ($128.00)and we are at the counter with 3 minutes to spare. I mention to the girl at the register that no one said a word to us and that we are aware it its closing time. Sorry she says while another girl chimes in "what is the problem? I explain the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE/LACK Of ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. HER RESPONSE "well did you find what you were looking for?" wow! They might consider a job in housekeeping since that was their priority and get out of the field of serving customers. We walk out and the door shuts right behind us. 9:00 pm sharp ! I have not found a bad Lululemon store yet, but this one is one of my favorites. I won't review the clothing - either you love it or you don't - and there are plenty of reviews on the clothes online. Personally, I love the Wunder Under Pants, Cool Race Back tanks, Stuff Your Bra, and Dance Studio Jackets and am willing to pay more than "the same thing I can get at Target for 1-10th the price." A) it obviously isn't the "same thing" to me; and B) it is more like 1/3 of the price and I like Lululemon more than 3 times as much. Anyway, this particular store for my first visit: the sales people were incredibly friendly. I was wearing Lulu at the time, but I also looked kind of "rough" - glasses, no makeup, messy hair. And I'm not 25; that doesn't look cute on me. It looks sloppy. Despite my lack of grooming, they were incredibly friendly and nice and discussed a line that they normally don't carry (Lulu has a "Co-Lab" line that is not widely available) knowing there was no sale out of it. We discussed an upcoming race for which I was saving shopping money, and they were still engaged with me,even knowing I wasn't going to spend much, if any, money that day. They encouraged me in checking the sale rack; pointing out a piece I might have missed. They invited me on the weekly run. They asked about some of my favorite Lulu products and offered some suggestions, but not pushy. Bottom line, good salespeople. The store seems a bit smaller than the La Jolla and UTC (also San Diego) locations, but I did see a nice mix of products. Maybe they are able to stock extra sizes in the back so that they still get a enough variety on the floor. I only looked at the women's products; this may not be a great store for the guys, I dunno. Bottom line, nice variety. Parking is super easy compared to the La Jolla store, but a shorter walk compared to the UTC store. Lighting is good in the dressing rooms. read more

Although Lululemon is pretty pricey, I still give them 4 stars. I am always one that will appreciate a good deal, but I'm also one that will truly appreciate great quality--and frankly, this often comes with a price. My husband and I are very active and it seems we're always replacing our work out wear. When this opened up in the Carlsbad Forum, we naturally went to check the store out. The store was decorated nicely and had a warm, welcoming feel to it. We found the staff very friendly and informative about the classes they were offering at the store, the products they carried--and overall, were great ambassadors for the company. Once we starting looking around, we kind of cringed after looking at the price tags. Holy cow were their clothes super expensive. In the end, the sales gal talked my husband into buying one boxer brief for $30 bucks or so to wear while he plays hockey. After he wore it for the first time, he loved them so much he asked me to go back and buy several more so he can eventually replace all his briefs. Ugghh... this is going to get expensive. After talking him down from the ledge, I told him that we would just get a few more and would supplement his inventory - not replace. Thankfully he agreed. When I went back, I picked up a few more briefs and decided that I'd get a pair of running pants for myself since I recently signed up to do a triathlon in May. I'm short (5 foot exactly) so it's very hard for me to find pants that fit me. Most capri pants fit me like they're regular length and the regular length pants are just ridiculously long. Thankfully, I ended up finding a pair that I absolutely love and fit me perfectly. I cannot get myself out of them...seriously. They're really comfy and I'm really happy with my purchase. I admit, it's hard to spend $100 on a pair of workout pants, but in the 2 months that I've had my pants, I've been very happy with them. I wear them so much, I feel like I've washed them 100 times already and they are really holding up nicely. I wish I could say the same for their reusable bag they give you. It's awesome that they give you a reusable bag but mine only lasted for 2 uses and then I discovered a huge hole in the corner. I was bummed because it is a really cool bag and is free with your purchase. Overall, I admire the company's vision, culture and beliefs and applaud them for their commitment to helping people achieve a healthier way of life. I went in today to exchange a brand new pair of repetition pants, tags on and in bag, that I purchased while at Fashion week in NY. Mandy the manager asked if I had the receipt. I said I only had the credit card I purchased them with. She offered me 15% off a new pair of pants but that I could not return the pants because it was beyond the two week return period. I tried to explain to her that I'd been ill and unable to get to the store to return but that I have been a return customer for a long time. She really didn't care, because it was their policy. Really Lululemon? You can't resell my $88 pants and keep me as a return customer? Maybe my business isn't enough over the past two years to consider making exceptions to your two week policy. As others have said, love the clothes but not happy with the service at this location. Specifically, They never, and I do mean NEVER answer the phone! They left me a message asking me to call them back regarding a hem job they were doing for me. Never could reach a human being. I left a message but continued trying to reach them throughout the day. No one ever answered the phone. Finally got a call back late in the day, but I missed the call. So, the cycle repeated itself the following day. We are now on day three and I still haven't spoken to anyone. Good customer service includes answering the telephone when your customers need to reach you. UPDATE: Since writing this post I have learned that not answering the phone is a company-wide policy of Lululemon now and not unique to this location. So, my negative review would relate more to this company policy. I still hold this location accountable, however, for taking so long to get back to me (and only after I posted this review). So, I would say both the company and this location need to figure out a better way to meet the needs of customers and potential customers who are not actually in the store. In fairness, the gal I talked to today was very gracious and sounded like she really does want to rectify this situation. I appreciate that. read more

Quality clothing for a hefty price! But they are worth every penny. Somewhat snooty and judgmental if you're not a Namaste looking Yogi dude or dudette but other than that pretty cool. Definitely expensive though. Their free hemming for life on their pants is awesome and they do a great job and quickly turn it around. My girlfriend bought me a shirt that did not fit for Christmas from here. Yesterday I went down there to return it. The cashier told me the last day for this return was January 8th as stated on the receipt. I think it is laughable for a company that charges outrageous prices has such a short time restricted return policy. She even asked me if I wanted the tags back on so I could re-gift it. All in all skip this place and just go with some Nike or Under Armour apparel. read more

Yes, it's the most money you will every spend on workout clothes, but they are made with excellent fabric, have high-quality seaming, and neat little features you won't find in your Target sweats. They also have regular yoga and pilates classes there for free. The sales people are friendly and helpful, and tell you from their personal experience what they like about particular items. read more

Positive: The yoga pants are comfortable. I own two pairs. Negatives: Both pairs pilled terribly after the first wash (which I made sure to do with only similar colors and according to Lululemon's instructions). One of the pants stretched out after I wore them for the FIRST time (for a day of airplane travel). They look so OLD after having been worn and washed once that I can't even wear them outside the house anymore. I went back to the store, explained what had happened, and requested a refund or even an exchange. They said, "No." Lululemon advertises that: "we have lots of options for washing our gear." However, when I went into the Lululemon store and described the pilling, one of the store employees told me that I should ONLY wash Lululemon clothes with other Lululemon clothes. At $100 a pop for one pair of pants, I don't have enough Lululemon clothes to make up a load of laundry!! For the price of the clothing, I expect much, much better quality. I love Lulu's clothes but the locations in San Diego are not convenient, so calling the locations to look for merchandise is the easiest solution. However, this location NEVER seems to answer the phone. I've successfully spoken with the La Jolla store and the downtown showroom, so I know that other stores answer. I have been to LLL's across the US. From a customer service standpoint, this is the worst. My husband and I watched as customer after customer had to ask the salespeople for a fitting room rather than offering one; no greeting on the way in; we were ignored even though we had our LLL gear on. I'll stick with the Glendale, CA store. NEVER going back to this one. On the bright side for my stock investment in LLL, business was booming! read more

Gotta love a store that welcomes my dog as much as me :) I was shopping for a new yoga mat. They opened up a brand new one for me to try. I felt a little silly doing poses in the front of the store, but the staff were very encouraging (even if this newbie was getting the side-eye from the veteran yoga class that had just finished). I bought "The Mat" in black. Yes, they have other pretty colors, but I didn't want the dirt to show. Plus, one of the staff said that the black one would hold up the best to "wear" marks. So far, The Mat is worth the cost. One side provides extra cushion which my knees love. I didn't buy a strap or bag since I only have to walk 1 min. from my car to the studio. But, it's a little bulky so I would recommend one if you have to schlep more than a few minutes. Before I used it, I aired out The Mat for several days (away from direct sunlight) as is recommended on the website & from the in-store staff. It has a strong rubber smell so if you buy it, give it at least 5 days. Only time will tell if this purchase was a good one, but for now, I am very happy with it :) read more

This would be 5 stars IF they actually had in stock the products that i like. I LOVE the mens workout clothing and underwear but they never seem to have my size in stock. Even looking online i found that they were out of stock as well. All customer service reps seem to tell me the same thing pertaining to the out of stock products. They dont know!. They dont know when they are getting more product in and that I would have to "keep checking in to find out". Awesome read more
