A few times a year I pop into Lululemon to see what they have on the sales racks. Sales is my shopping love language. There has only been one occasion that I purchased leggings at full price, when I received Lululemon gift certificate. You probably can tell by my check-ins I am fitness focused. Nothing makes fitness better than comfortable fitness clothing. Despite today's sales, nothing caught my eye. Net, net, no sales purchases for me today. I absolutely love their fabrics which conform to your body. Lululemon's clothing items are moisture wicking which allows sweat to wick away from your body, so you do not have a totally sweat-drenched look...not pretty. I first started shopping at Lululemon 20+ years ago and I still have those pieces. Their pieces are long-lasting continue to look almost brand new. The sales staff at Lululemon are always extremely helpful. Every section you walk through folks asking if you need help...a store friendly approach. I love the messaging that Lululemon puts on its shopping bags and on the inside and outside their stores. Super positive... read more

Absolutely ridiculous experience at this Lululemon store. I ordered two pairs of slides to try on and return the size that didn't fit--literally received them TWO HOURS before walking in. Both pairs were brand new, unused, straight from the delivery box. I tried to return the larger size and was told I couldn't... because there was no RFID tag. Seriously? There were no tags on either pair when I got them--how is that my fault? The employee acted like I was trying to scam the system with used shoes, even though they were clearly unworn and just delivered. For a brand that prides itself on "premium" customer service, this was an embarrassing, inflexible, and tone-deaf response. If you're going to charge luxury prices, you better back it up with customer service that isn't robotic or accusatory. I expected better from Lululemon--won't be ordering again if this is how they treat loyal customers making honest returns. Do better. read more

Great stand alone location if you want to avoid the mall. Limited parking on the side. I appreciated that parking had a 30 minute limit and that this store was smaller. It allowed me to be laser focused! Was pleasantly surprised to find the items were fully stocked on a Saturday. Usually the mall locations are out of my sizes. They only have up to a size 12 in all of their clothes and don't want wider people wearing their clothes which is very offensive.

This location usually has more in stock options than the domain, the only downfall is the lack of parking. There is a small lot to the side, but it's usually full. You can always order what you need and have it shipped for free if they don't have your size, or preferred color way. Though this location is usually my best bet for finding what I need locally. read more

Ordered two pairs of lined shorts. One pair lined and one unlined came in and were altered. They ordered replacement and emailed they were ready so I drove over to pick them up and could not locate. The check out guy was outright rude to a service member and healthcare worker because she wanted to use her discount for her Christmas shopping and threatened to have her 'benefits' revoked because she couldn't decide what size bag to buy. He said you cannot buy gifts with your discount. It is not up to him or the store if the item was for her or her niece / child .. I guess you have to state the intent of your purchase now and cannot but for a family member not old enough to shop alone. I'm not military or healthcare but I witnessed the gross attitude of your employee. The disrespect was real to a person who was suppose to be appreciated. I'm shocked this is how she was treated. Came here to handle a return and was basically nixed the minute I asked to take a look at the garment. The associate didn't provide any solutions or alternatives, and this company prides themselves on customer loyalty and experience. He didn't even bother to help me shop for a new pair or nothing, just straight up said "there's nothing we can do". Will not be coming back to this location again read more

I stopped here in search of run appropriate sports bras after the local running store failed me. I'm not a LuLu lemon shopper, my only experience with them is my sister giving me a bunch of hand me down pants and they are...ok. I swore I would never spend $90+ on yoga pants. But the sports bras were recommended for running. They have a great selection of low-mid-and high impact bras which really keep the girls locked in. The shining star was the customer service though - it was stellar. I mentioned that it was "my first time" shopping for LuLu and the girls went giggly. There is fantastic support (pun intended) for trying items on, learning your size, shopping for your activity, and answering any odd questions. I've been lusting after lululemon clothes for a while, but thankfully for my wallet, they just don't look good on me. I was looking for a long-sleeved athletic shirt to wear to the desert that would still look reasonably good, and it turns out that all of their shirts, even the ones with short sleeves, make my nonexistent belly look huge and make me feel uncomfortable. I may be back to try on the yoga pants, but frankly, after trying on every shirt in the store and feeling awful in all of them, I think I'll skip it. For what it's worth, I do yoga regularly and I wear an XS in most shirts...fit shouldn't be a problem. The service was good, and everybody was friendly, though. read more

So this was my first lululemon experience. Until a few years ago we didn't have one where I'm from in Virginia Beach, VA but we do now. I just hadn't made my way there - I'd been meaning to and I ever browsed the website briefly a time or two but was always appalled by the prices and never went any deeper. While visiting my bff in Austin for girl's weekend she made me come in to try on the clothes. She's a huge fan and has almost half her wardrobe dedicated to lululemon so she said I had to try it. We stopped in and a nice gal working inside who was wearing some neat lulu duds helped us pick out some pieces and put me in a fitting room. I must've tried on about 15 things. The location is neat with street parking and it's near tons of other stopping and foodie places. It's by a Lush, Wildflower Organics, Amy's, and dozens of other little shops. Things I noticed as a first timer: 1-Sizing is SMALL - I mean - I am 5'4 and 115 pounds and I was wearing things like a 6-8 when I normally wear XXS/XS and 0-2 in sizes. 2-Prices are LARGE - seems like the standard price per item is around $98. I tried on a lot of shirts and pants and they were all in that price point. 3-Items are CUTE - despite the first two items - these clothes are cute - they're fashionable, comfy, and high quality. I found a raincoat I liked but they only had one left in the store in that color and none online - I also in my brief experience with lululemon found that it's like all other stores I like, my favorite things are either on sale, on clearance, or on their way out the door. lol. Because I was flying home and I have a lululemon nearby I didn't go crazy - I decided only to buy one pair of pants that I fell in love with - the in flux crop pants which are perfect for work or play. The employees were all friendly, the store was nice and clean, great product selection, excellent customer service. I'm a convert. My bank account won't thank me - but I'll try to purchase some key pieces from here every now and again for work, play, or comfort and keep it at that! read more

I cannot fault the quality of the clothes. The material is wonderful- wears and washes very, very well. Really the best workout clothes that I've come across. Incomparable. Also the most expensive. By far. I work out six days a week, not sure I could swing enough pieces to wear them exclusively even with frequent laundering. That's not their fault of course. Be aware that most of the things for women in the store only go up to a size 12 (XL). I love that they'll hem the pants. I have worn only cropped workout pants for ages due to length issues. I love their bags with their manifesto printed on them. The first time I brought one home my husband said "wait, you also bought *another* bag?!" but no, they *gave* it to me even though I only bought a headband that day. I carry one of their bags a lot-- handy when I need to carry a few things since I don't use a purse. I don't love the vibe in the store. I am not young, tiny, or rich and I feel like I have to justify my presence in the store sometimes ("no really, I work out like all the time and I do have a credit card"). No customer enjoys that feeling. I can be a close-to-40 middle-class mom and still want great workout wear! Hopefully I have just caught them on off days. read more

Went in to buy my first Lululemon set and wasn't really sure where to start. I was greeted right away and the sales associate was so friendly and knowledgeable about their product, I was impressed. I know they're trying to make sales but she made me feel like she really cared about finding the right items for me personally. I just thought that was so nice! They ended up not having one of the items that I wanted in stock, and after realizing it also wasn't available online, another sales associate called around and found it at another location. I didn't want to drive to another store so they set it up to be delivered to me. Overall, really stellar customer service from everyone I interacted with at this location. There's no questioning the quality of lululemon's clothes. The fit, colors, material--it's all excellent, and I'm not lying when I tell you that my lulu running shorts have inspired me, on more than one occasion, to run when I just didn't feel like it. I love their yoga tops, too--they fit so much better than any of the tops I've tried from some of the major retailers (i.e. Nike, Under Armour, etc.). Their fabric (called "luon") is great because it retains its shape for forever, and it's so comfy. That being said, I've definitely received some strange treatment from the sales staff here. I've returned two items here, and both times the sales clerks gave me the third degree as to why exactly I was making the return. I'm assuming it's corporate policy, which is understandable. But does the management encourage their staff to make suggestions like "well, Christmas is coming up, are you sure you don't want to keep this and give it to a friend?" Or, when I returned a red yoga top because I found it in a different color online, and because I already owned a red yoga top, "actually, this color isn't really RED, it's called ALARMING, and it's probably different than the color you have already." Trust me, if I've maneuvered my way through the hell that is the 6th-and-Lamar intersection just to return something your store, I'm already pretty certain of my decision to do so. From what I understand, lululemon works hard to keep their customers satisfied, and I'm assuming that motivates their question-upon-returns procedure. I just wish they'd be a little more tactful about it. I know that a salesperson at Nordstrom--where the athletic apparel is way cheaper than lulu--would know better than to ask some of those questions. And part of maintaining customer satisfaction is letting your customers know that they have the freedom to change their mind about a purchase without being vilified for that decision. read more

**My 100th Review! It would be related to working out, either that, or pizza** I came on to the Lululemon scene a little late and to be honest, at first I didn't understand what the big deal was. It just seemed like more over priced fitness apparel. I don't even do yoga! And I am generally not the type of girl who just jumps on the newest fashion or brand just because everyone else is doing it. What can I say, I'm a rebel ;) But I noticed my gym was full of lululemon. I started seeing the cute little lululemon symbol on shorts, pants, tank tops...everywhere I looked, there it was. So fine, you caught my eye Lululemon and there was something different about you that intrigued me a little. I had to see what all the fuss was about, so I made a special trip to Lululemon. The store is super cute, full of bright colors and fun workout clothing. The staff are incredibly friendly and gives you honest opinions on how the clothes fit. I almost felt like they were a couple of my best girl-friends from high school! So, I took the plunge and bought a pair of shorts- and I am obsessed. They are super comfortable and very flattering. I WANT MORE!! Hey, I figure since I spend half my life in the gym anyways (personal quest to be in the best shape of my life at the age of 30) I may as well look super cute and be comfortable! Yep, I'm a Lululemon fan. But not just because its the "thing" right now, but because the clothing is truly top notch quality in terms of fabrics and comfort. I really like this stuff. It's well designed and very comfortable. They make the best sportsbra i've ever had. They sell exercise shorts that aren't tiny little hoochy pants (relax, they also sell ones that ARE tiny little hoochy pants). They will do alterations for you. My wife gave me these wonderful pair of pants for Valentines Day that she knew I wanted. I know she purchased them online because she never shops in the stores.. Like ever. I wore them maybe 4 times to work out in and the crotch is just sagging and I constantly have to pull them up. My friend who's entire wardrobe is LuLu told me to exchange them because they're wonderful about it especially if they're not performing for you. When I walked in I told the woman that I've never made an exchange/return but was going to be purchasing more items and just wanted to exchange them for something that fits. I love these pants even if they had them in a smaller size! She was so rude! I have never met a sales associate that was in customer service that talks to customers like that. She said they've been washed and worn! I said yes but the crotch is sagging and I just want to exchange them. She said they're over a year old... Which is NOT TRUE! I asked her if she could look up her purchase history and said no we can't resell these pants. On the sales receipt it clearly states "our quality promise: If our product does not perform for you, we will take it back" It's not performing for me if I keep having to pull up the crotch of my pants! Besides the wonderful gentlemen that was helping me today and the other associate this is the worse customer service I've ever had at a Lulu store. So, Kelty's review of Lululemon emphasized "sports bras" and "tops" - which meant I wasn't TOO excited about going to this store after a trip to Waterloo Records (around the corner) with a Norwegian gal pal. I thought I wouldn't find any thing of interest for the 'other' gender - the forgotten male (LOL). I was surprised. They have some cool workout clothes for GUYS, too. Ended up buying a shirt (a.k.a. "top") in a great athletic fabric and some workout pants in a stretchy cloth (helpful after the holidays, no doubt). Heavy "yin" vibe camouflages some interesting guy stuff. Don't go alone if male unless you can handle 20 minutes in Victoria's Secret on your own. Pricey but good quality. Recommended. read more

Huge lulu fan! Crossfit and Lulu go together like peanut butter and jelly (although if you Crossfit you are likely to say like grassfed jerky and almonds, ha). I'm a coach and also get my WOD on, so whether I'm running, deadlifting, or doing handstands (oh my!), it's essential that I'm outfitted with something comfortable and functional. Lulu's speed shorts are the bomb diggity. They have a super sweet lining that is actually reversed so there are no seams against your skin. They are slightly longer in the back so when you are doing a back squat, your a-s isn't hanging out (yet, they are short enough to be pretty cute!). The waistband is wide and soft so there is no risk of muffin top. They have a small pocket in the back to hold your keys or whatever, and a teeny one in front you could slip your ipod shuffle into. Whatever it is they are made of stands up to brutal workouts in 110 degree heat. (Everything lulu is extremely well made, and constructed with a great deal of consideration and ongoing feedback from fans.) At $50 a pop I hesitated. Yet after I bought my first pair, I replaced every other pair I owed and will never buy another brand. I have tried on a pair of pants, but have yet to invest. However, I agree with others - they are magic. "I don't normally do this, but I felt compelled to tell you something. You have... the most breathtaking... hiney. I mean that thing is good. I like to refer to my lululemons as my rockstar pants. I put them on and I'm unstoppable! They are flattering, comfortable, high quality, and very easy to move in! (Also pricey, but definitely worth it) To make things better, all the ladies and the token guy here are insanely friendly. Instead of shopping, it's more like hanging out with your friends for thirty minutes.... only differences being 1) I don't actually know them and 2) I leave about a hundred dollars poorer. Worst customer service ever. My husband and I were in there for 20 min and not once did one of the 5 employees Ask if we needed help. They were more worried about standing around and playing grab*** with each other. Lululemon Athletic has traveled down from the great, white North and is making a cozy, new home at 6th and Lamar just behind Waterloo records. Lululemon, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: 1. athletic clothes made with attention to detail like zippers and pockets 2. a story that is conscious that different types of women need different fits from their clothing 3. clothes (sports bras, pants,and tops) organized and displayed from least to most supportive so you don't have to search high and low 4. helpful, knowledgeable sales staff 5. free in-store yoga classes 6. environmentally conscious bags that, if reused, garner you an environmental discount 7. clothes for men too So here's the deal: Lululemon is focused on yoga clothes, it's based in Vancouver, they opened a showroom on Kerbey Lane for about 6 months and we Austinites earned ourselves a full-sized store. This is my preferred location due to proximity to home/work and I've always had great customer service here - they're helpful without being pushy! Shoutout to Tiffany yesterday for helping me track down a pair of pants unavailable in Austin (and for sharing in my enthusiasm that we found THE color!). She called another store to do a "charge send" and was so sweet and patient in guiding the employee over the phone how to do it. And this isn't the first example of great service. A few months ago, I ordered a bra online and was shipped the incorrect size, so I went into the store where they quickly rectified the error and offered a SINCERE apology. Anyway, thought I'd share just some of my good experiences at this location since there seems to be so much negative on Yelp. If there's any location I would avoid, it's the Domain. After avoiding Lulu for as long as I could, I finally caved- and it was so worth it!! Let's start off with the service. The girls that work there are the friendliest, most helpful retail workers I have ever dealt with (aside from SoLa on South Lamar). I was immediately greeted and asked if I had ever been there. After I replied no, a girl showed me the how the store is laid out and answered some of my questions. Once I started shopping another girl took my clothes and started a dressing room for me. When I got to the dressing room the attendant already knew my name (from the previous 2 girls) and asked what kind of workout I do. I told her barre and running and she asked "what barre studio?" I said "Mod Fitness" and she just started raving about how much she loved Marnie (the owner)!! She then proceeded to constantly check-in to make sure I had the right sizes, and to help me with the fit. I ended up with the Speed Short for running and I got 2 tanks for barre (the Power Y was my favorite). When it was time to check out I felt like I had made 3 new friends! The girls that worked there were treating me and my husband like we had known each other for years, and they even told me about a juice cleanse Snap Kitchen (right next door) was doing when I mentioned that I was interested in one. Overall, that was one of the best retail experiences I have had in Austin- which makes it completely worth it when you look at your receipt and contemplate getting a second job just so you can go there again :) read more

Who knew taking the plunge would feel soooo good?! And that's not an understatement! Ever since I moved to Austin almost 4 years ago, I kept hearing about how amazing Lulu is and kept seeing their logo everywhere, especially at my gym (Pure Austin). About 2 months ago, my friend Liza was the first ever to accompany me to the store itself...I'd been fighting it for so long, but couldn't anymore!! The moment I walked in, was in complete work out attire heaven! I knew that every trashed piece of old work out clothing that did its job right every time had been reincarnated into a piece of clothing in this store for a much better second life. :-) As soon as I walked in the door, my very first "must" for excellent customer service was met when a super bouncy employee decked out in Lulu attire greeted me with a huge smile and hello. She offered her assistance without being pushy and let me be when I responded with an "I'm browsing" response. The store itself was very neat and organized. There wasn't one shelf with a piece of clothing folded the wrong way. Everything was displayed in a very pleasing manner. When I did finally find something I wanted more than I wanted everything else in the store, I was easily ushered into a fitting room and given assistance when needed. Customer service is beyond excellent here. My first purchase: a pair of run shorts. Great material. Great waist fit. Awesome color. Tested at Pure: great and easy to move in. I love it! And after washing it several times, no signs of wear present whatsoever. Second purchase: the Triumph Tote in grey.Overall AMAZING!! I bought it for classes this semester to see if it hold up to the weight of a laptop, textbooks, and notebooks, and it totally passed the test time after time. The only concern: a purely aesthetic part of the bag came undone. There's a knot on one of the handles that's just there to make the bag look pretty, and the anchor knot on the string holding it in place came undone somehow. But, Lulu will take a look at it to either repair it or replace it. They're oh so wonderful and stand behind their products 100%. The reason for only 4 stars: the cost (and yes I knew you saw that coming). With the shorts being $54 on average and pants at $78 on average, it's a little steep. There's no arguing the amazing quality of the clothing or the hip yet usable everyday style, but building up the collection will take a while. Lulu, you will see me time and time again!!!...but not every week. :) read more

Lululemon clothing is the best yoga clothing around. I can't shop anywhere else for yoga clothes. And for years, those are the only clothes I purchased from lululemon. But then something happened. I discovered all the other clothing for guys that they had to offer. My world was changed. As a guy, I am simply not going to wear something unless it's comfortable. I don't care how great it looks, or whatever. It HAS to be comfortable. The great thing about the pants, shorts, jackets, shirts--everything is comfortable, stylish, and fits well. It's athletic clothing that you can wear in and out of the yoga studio, gym, running trail, etc. Because of the lycra and spandex in their clothing, it continues to retain its shape even when you sweat in it. Best part: everything comes with a 5-year warranty. I used to think $50 was too much for a pair of shorts. 5 years later, I think not. They have tons of different types of each item. If you're looking for a zip-up track jacket, you'll have 7 or 8 different kinds to choose from, of all thicknesses, materials, and styles to choose from. One word of advice: if you're looking for knowledgeable advice, I'd recommend going to the 6th street store. The people up in the Domain don't always know what they're talking about. And as far as getting advice as a guy, good luck. The girls there don't know anything about guys clothing. About as far as they go is "YEAH! That looks really cute on you!" I went in like twenty minutes before closing and they weren't all pissy and trying to get me out of there. The person helping me was friendly and got me a whole bunch of different pants to try on I really like the anti ball crushing pant (yep that's really what they are called) - and they work!!! Which is pretty cool because they are nicely fitted pants but manage to have ample space in the groin without looking saggy. I would wear these every day if I could. I ended up getting the navy color and they measured me there for the complimentary hemming. I have a feeling I'll be getting the other colors too. Unfortunately they're $128.00 each :( read more
