On top of that, the prices felt really high for what was being offered. They also didn't have what I originally wanted, so I ended up not ordering anything. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. This felt like your typical overpriced casino restaurant that comps meals for frequent gamblers. The food was subpar, and the service was just okay. Our server left dirty dishes on the table for far too long, which was disappointing. The soup wasn't served hot, and the "spicy" cucumbers lacked any real spice--just one example of the underwhelming flavors. Stopped by for a drink while we were at the casino and ended up staying longer than planned! Great cocktail selection, and the food was solid too. We ordered the dry pepper chicken to go with our drinks, loved the bold mala flavor, though we wished the chicken was a bit crispier. The bartender was amazing and super attentive. My Husband and I love our Asian food. We grew up eating clams with black bean sauce and short ribs remind us of home in Hawaii. I would put the black bean sauce all over my rice bowl eat it with chopstick. While my husband and I were eating, I've notice the male staff were looking at us because I've noticed other customers only eat what they know. As of writing this, if you're staying at LIVE! Casino you can order from any of the restaurants through GrubHub. Post baseball game, we were only kind of hungry but the only thing open was Luk Fu. To their credit, the food arrived faster than we were initially told. Other than that, the food was absolutely terrible. Now, maybe it's different if you're a) dining *IN* Luk Fu or b) it isn't twenty minutes before the restaurant closes and c) don't have any dietary restrictions. Their menu is not labeled at all with what's vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free, so we took some guesses and ordered: - 1 order of Vegetable Spring Roll (carrots, cabbage, celery): an order of three is weird, but that's what we got. They were so fried on the outside that they were both flavorless and very difficult to bite into; the inside was pure goo. I've never had a Spring Roll with an interior that texture. - 1 order of Seaweed Salad: Hands-down the worst seaweed salad I've ever (not) eaten. It was strands of slime and it tasted the way old fish smells. - 2 orders of the Vegetarian Roll (cucumber, avocado, pickled radish): it's very difficult to mess up a veggie roll, so these were - y'know - fine. Lots and lots of rice, one of our twelve pieces didn't have avocado, some of the avocado in other pieces was a bit brown. ^ after tax and tip, this came to almost $70 (and it pains me to admit this) They were abundantly generous with the napkins and the packets of sauce (which we didn't ask for and didn't know we were getting); we got probably a dozen or so both soy sauces and a dozen or so hot mustards. Service 5/5 - very attentive and friendly host and wait staff, always knocked prior to entering the private room our party was in, refilling drinks, etc. Food offerings 3/5 - I've been to many sushi restauarants and have had plant based options. From a sushi perspective, there were no plant based options, so that was off the table. Thankfully there were some vegetable based items such as vegetable spring rolls, miso soup, kimchee and vegetable tempura. Food quality 4/5 - what I did eat was pretty good, the vegetable tempura was so large, it was a practically a meal by itself. Cost 2/5 - very expensive for the minimal offerings. Overall 3/5 - I will likely not return as I can get better offerings and at much better prices somewhere else. read more

Tasty food with pleasant service and a fun ambiance. It's especially good if you're staying at the hotel, hanging at the casino, or on your way to one of the sports venues. They have bubble tea which is fun, so I ordered one to the table. The bubbles are a little different than the usual Tapioca ones though so be aware - I feel they were chewier or more hollow? The Thai tea flavor was good, though. We split the volcano sushi roll, edamame, and mei fun with chicken, pork, and shrimp. The sushi roll was good but not mind blowing, but the edamame was wonderfully salted and the mei fun was excellent. So I'd probably try another sushi roll next time, but definitely get the mei fun again. Edamame is always a go again too. read more

I had a questionable experience at this establishment. While the food and service was ok, I was taken aback when I was asked to show ID when using a credit card. I found it to be insulting. I was told they require this for all customers. I don't believe that. I have dined at some of the most desirable restaurants in the city and have never been asked to show ID. I will never be back. This may be redundant. However, once again we visited for dinner again. The shrimp fried rice was prepared expertly. Perfectly cooked rice, nice size shrimp. Seasoned excellently. The beef lo mein took a little longer. It was well worth the extra few minutes. Portions were generous. Flavors were outstanding. The dining area was decorated authentic and felt like we were eating in a foreign land. The waiter took his time. Took very good care of the 2 of us. Needless to say. We will go back. The food and service were great. Good sized portions, tasty, and served promptly by friendly staff. It's a little bit dark inside and I had one big problem that unfortunately may be beyond their control. The smell of cigarette smoke wafts in from the casino and that's off-putting. Perhaps they could install some kind of ventilation at the doorway, or maybe even install doors? Wanted to hang out at Live Casino so I made a reservation at Luk Fu for dinner. The restaurant was so beautiful with all the cherry blossom decor (for a limited time)! The sushi was good. Look. I'm reviewing this place during the soft opening week. So I can't judge everything. But I can judge the food taste based on what I had while checking out the new casino. The space is nice. That's to be expected. I tried the spicy tuna roll and the pork and shrimp dumplings. I took it out to my car to eat right away instead of inside so I still got it pretty fresh. I will say the tuna roll wasn't bad. It was fresh. It wasn't terribly spicy. I ate that happily. It won't confuse me with any higher priced sushi specialist places in the city but pretty good is a win here. The dumplings were decent but not spectacular. Definitely overpriced for the amount and quality you get in return. Nothing here would make me give up a trip to Chinatown to come here instead. The restaurant was very well designed with art pieces and the place was clean and just had a great vibe to it. I ordered the Luk fu 8 sushi speciality roll and that roll was so delicious. Probably one of the best sushi roll I've ever had, so flavorful. I also ordered the chef special salt and pepper pork chops with rice and that was okay. I wasn't too crazy about that dish but that sushi made my night. Service was great, our server was very attentive and helpful.
