So we literally arrive 20 minutes before closing ... HORRIBLE I KNOWWWW !!!! But in our defense, we weren't sure exactly of the hours. We were courteously greeted and seated very quickly. There were a few other parties that were there. They were closing out their tab. The night was absolutely closing up. When we sat down, we weren't sure exactly what we wanted to drink so we talk the staff and they had recommended some drink drinks based on what we like, he definitely asked what we kinda liked sweet versus strong versus a little tart and his recommendation. We're spot one I got the mango martini which was delicious and my daughters got Mai Tai ! Next week look at the menu and kinda decide what we wanted when we arrived. There was literally only maybe about 10 minutes before the kitchen close and so you know, the waiter was very gracious and letting us know. Hey we kinda have to make this a little quick if you wanna get your order in before and so we were able to make Choices and He did give a little bit of input and so with that we did place our orders.. When I say this place was nothing short of amazing one of the best crab boils I've had from Phoenix to Philadelphia. It was perfectly flavored, but wasn't too spicy. The quality of crabs and shrimp was great !! The crab legs were tender and juicy and easy to crack, and the quantity of shrimp that I got with my platter was above what I expected. 10 out of 10 highly recommend !!! I can't to go back !!!!

    Rusty nail in food

My food had a rusty nail in my order. It pierced my mouth while I was eating, luckily I didn't swallow it. I tried to contact the store about the issue and just received nasty service from the so called manager and was hung up on. I will never order from here again. Good luck to anyone who does!

Seafood lovers, this is an alright seafood place if you need to satisfy cravings. I came with a friend and ordered 2 pounds of their crawfish in the garlic butter and shake sauce. The quality of the crawfish was good and it came with potatoes and sweet corn. However, to be honest the sauces were average and compared to other seafood boil restaurants, could be more flavorful. The difference in taste between the garlic and shake sauces were also minimal (you could probably switch them and it would be difficult to tell they were different sauces at all). Service was slightly lacking. My friend ordered snow crab legs and did not receive any crab crackers or utensils to break it down. While waiting for a server to walk by or notice us, none appeared so we had to search for someone and request it. Overall - good food and service could be improved but not a bad choice for a seafood boil!

The Spritz drink from the happy hour menu was a delight (although still expensive at $9). We ordered the oysters, which were delicious and they came with 4 sauces (tomatillo, mignonette, cocktail, carrot habanero). The fries were delicious and we loved the aioli they were served with (bonus that they're $6 on the hh menu). The Birchrun Blue cheese was incredible and came with a generous portion of bread and a tasty horseradish jelly. The chicory salad and Caesar Brussels sprouts were both outstanding veg dishes. We finished our meal with the frozen yogurt. The flavor options weren't my favorite but I believe these are seasonal. To summarize, the prices are a bit steep here but the vibes, service, food and drinks are all fantastic!

Maybe it was because we thought the restaurant's culinary concept was somewhat mundane ("picnic"). Maybe it was the simplicity of the food or ingredients on the menu... BUT BOY WERE WE WRONG! With the super-friendly service and unique open concept warehouse meets magic garden decor, we will definitely be back...at least for the prime rib special! And yes, it's "deep into Fishtown." Candlelit tables, warm tones, the kind of place that looks like it takes the meal seriously. When we finally sat down and opened the menu, though, I'll be honest: we panicked a little. The dishes read like a foreign language and for a brief moment we genuinely questioned whether we'd made the right call for the night. We could not have been more wrong. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and folded into the care of genuinely attentive, efficient staff. The room has a quiet elegance to it -- unhurried, intimate, the kind of atmosphere where you instinctively lower your voice and settle in. They even carry Acqua Panna, my personal favorite, which arrived at the table cold and still and felt like a small love letter to the detail-oriented diner. Our waitress noticed pretty quickly that we were in over our heads and offered to walk us through the menu. She was incredibly thorough -- not just naming dishes but painting a picture of each one, what to expect flavor-wise, how things were prepared, what made each plate worth ordering. She turned what could have been an intimidating evening into one of the most enjoyable meals we've ever had. We started with the skate cheeks. I had never heard of a single ingredient in that dish. What arrived at the table was something I still don't fully have the language for -- delicate, rich, the sauce alone worth writing home about. We ended up asking for extra bread just to drag through every last drop of it, and we're already planning to order two plates next time. For our second course we had the ricotta dumplings and the malioreddus with lamb -- both completely outside our comfort zone, both landing without a single regret. The kind of food that makes you grateful you said yes to something unfamiliar. By the time our main course arrived we were already full and happy and slightly embarrassed about it -- and then the wagyu steak showed up. Deeply seared on the outside, impossibly tender inside, the kind of bite that quiets a table. We couldn't help ourselves. Near perfection. Throughout the night our waitress kept our Pinot Grigio flowing without us ever having to glance around for her. Between each course she refreshed our place settings and wiped the table clean before laying the new ones down -- the kind of choreography that you feel more than you notice, the invisible architecture of a truly well-run dining room. We finished with the olive oil cake and cocktails, soft and golden and exactly the right ending. On our way out we learned about their outdoor cocktail lounge, and we are already planning to come back on a weekend just to sit in it. Bastia far exceeded every expectation we had walking in. But a significant part of that was our waitress. She set the rhythm of the whole evening -- the pacing, the guidance, the warmth. We never felt rushed or out of place. It wasn't just a nice dinner. It was the kind of meal you keep returning to in your memory for days after, trying to figure out how to explain it to someone who wasn't there. We'll be back soon. Probably for those skate cheeks. And honestly? We couldn't stop talking about the meal the whole way home -- still replaying every course, already making plans to return. That's the mark of a truly special night out. Good to post or anything else you want to tweak?

The 15 lbs of Salmon came in convenient (approx.) 1 lb portions. With my first lb (I have gotten 3 lbs so far) here's what I made: Karen Flam's "Grilled Gravlax". Since I hadn't the time to do a proper "cure" here's what I did: Dry-rub the clean, thawed salmon with: 1.5 tsp. Penzey's Shallot Salt 1 tsp. Penzey's Vanilla Sugar (yes, really) A few healthy shakes of granulated Garlic A few cracks of fresh black pepper LOTS of fresh or dried dill. Then, squeeze on the juice of one (or two) fresh lemons, or use 3-4 TBSP of bottled lemon juice. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 4-6 hours (I couldn't wait any longer) - ideally - cure longer (and add some juniper berries - I didn;t have any). Heat a skillet with 1-2 tsp of good olive oil and pan-grill (or use a real grill or grill pan). I seared mine (First with skin side down, then flipped and seard the flesh side). Slice thinly and serve. Do not over cook! My 6 year old gobbled up the small slice I gave her and asked for more right away. She proceeded to eat about 4 oz!

I think the name does this place justice, as your taste buds will be excreting joy and pleasure from the love and amazing flavor that the owners put into their food. Though it is a small restaurant with limited indoor seating options, it is enough to counter space to take a bite of your food before heading home since the smell of the food will make this impossible to do. I ordered the chicken alfredo and the salmon bites with rice, broccoli, and corn on the cob. The chicken alfredo was packed with flavor and creamy goodness that will definitely make me come back. The salmon meal, however, stole the show. The nuggets were fried to perfection and glazed with just one of their many sauces available (Jerk sauce). The corn, broccoli, and rice were the perfect compliments to a light but fulfilling meal. As with most small establishments, the food can get a bit pricey, so come prepared. The wait was also ~40 minutes, though it was a less busy time than usual. The service was also efficient and welcoming. Moreover, my salmon bite meal is custom, and I had to pay to add the rice, broccoli, and corn with the salmon bites. They also have water ice, dessert, seafood pasta salad, and other great options to eat. 10/10 recommend!
